  No new Tron 2 trailer thread? This is an outrage!

No.17842

Isn't this a reboot, rather than a sequel?

No.17843
>>17842
No, it's a continuation as far as I know. I mean, it's got Flynn.

No.17844
>>17843
Hot Flynn on Flynn action, actually.

No.17845
>>17843

yea but it does make the Tron 2.0 game and comics non canon

No.17847
>>17842
It's a sequel. In movie-canon.

No.17848
Sooo
Flynn=Welman Matrix
Clu=Megabyte
Sam= Enzo Matrix in Renegade Mode
Alan=Turbo? Or maybe Phong

No.17853
This doesn't make sense to me. Stark, the MCP, and pretty much everything else got deleted in the first movie right? So what's going on here?

No.17854
>>17853
What? where did you get THAT idea?

No.17855
>>17854
Well it's been years since I've seen it I admit, but I remember Tron and Flynn deleting Sark and the MCP at least.

No.17860
>>17855

MCP got whupped and and all networked systems got freed from his control and everything went back to being able to communicate with the outside world and their users instead of being silenced by the MCP. And it seems that either Clu never was deleted or was rebuilt by Flynn.

No.17864
I actually just watched Tron for the first time the other night. That movie is so 80's I almost grew a mullet by the time it ended.

No.17868

I saw it for the first time a few months ago. As a many who grew up in the 90's, I have to say their portrayal of computers was almost painful to watch. There were just so many plot holes, ridiculous concepts, and times that I just wanted to shout, "Computers don't work like that!"

No.17869
>>17868
That's how computers were in the early 80s. It's factually accurate.

No.17870
>>17869

you would enter a query and it would answer back, in some ways they were more advanced then they are now.

No.17873
lO"$",8

90's kids... Psht.

No.17875
I think it speaks to how good this looks that I can't wait for this despite not liking the first movie.

No.17888
>>17875
And yet, we haven't heard a single daft punk track.

No.17892
>>17888
Well, you've seen the trailers. What, did you think they got the music for them from stock?

No.17905
It felt pretty generic to be honest. It didn't sound like them at all.
