Challenge time! Draw something that is NOT in your usual style.

Let's stretch those artistic muscles. Try using a different brush or tool, or a different art program to the one you usually use. Alternatively, try drawing in a completely different art style (eg Byzantine icon, Futurism, Art Nouveau). Or try both together if you're feeling reckless.

Tell us about it. What did you use and why?

It doesn't have to be good, it doesn't necessarily have to work well, all you need to do... is TRY.

>Superman, in Photoshop, using a "Rough Round Bristle" brush, because it has an interesting texture.

Here's one I prepared earlier:

Photoshop, chalk-type brush.
There are a load of brushes in Photoshop that I haven't ever used, so occasionally I experiment with different ones.

Again, an experiment with a different kind of lighting. I can't remember what brush I used for this one.

And another one.
I think this was "Airbrush Pen Opacity Flow".

For reference, the brush I usually use for colour work is a Soft brush with Wet Edges at 75% opacity. It's a quick-and-easy way for me to put in a colour and shading.

Right, over to you.

I've actually been struggling with something like this for Coleasquid's "Barbarians for Frank" thing, and its been taking awhile.

I'll slap it here when I'm done.
