Yeah, see, that's your problem right there. In the SNES release, there really was only one reference to it, because the translator scythed out everything else. The translation in the GBA release restores most of it.

The Kefka most people refer to is the one presented in Woolsey's translation, who is quite different than the original. Woolsey Kefka is more of a clown that does what he does for the fun of it, while the original/GBA Kefka was all about MORE POWER MORE POWER.

Both are usually uninteresting (though Woolsey Kefka gets some okay one-liners).
