Epic Yarn, Kirby
>>90947I didn't think Super Star could be bested, but then Super Star Ultra happened.64's a pretty close second.
You know, I never understood why folks cared too awful much for Kirby 64.As far as level design, 'physics' (lol kirby game) and powers go, it was kind of clunky. About the only thing I REALLY liked about it was the super-end boss. That was pretty awesome. The rest.. mmmeh. But I loves me some Kirby, even if I don't have the cash to play the new ones!
>>91054Replaying it recently, it is a VERY slow moving game. There is a lot to cover, but Kirby can't seem to get the lead out of his adorable little feets.
>>91067Luckily, the level design is fairly compact. But kirby is rarely about the speed anyway. At least, as far as I'm concerned. Besides, my favorite part about the game was the power combination.
>>91069Oh, I'm aware it's not about speed, but still, KSS Kirby moved faster than that. The power combinations were the highlight of the game, and I still liked the game, just a complaint I have is all.
>>91074Completely understandable.
One of my favorite parts about Kirby 64 was the influence it took from Kirby's Dreamland 3 in its art, music, and level design. And I nearly shit a brick when I found out you can hold enemies above your head to abuse their power. IT'S CHICKEN GLIDING ALL OVER AGAIN!I ship Ribbon/Kirby
I can still spend hours playing Kirby's Dream Land.
>>91081Me too
>>91081Shipping Kirby baffles me even more than regular shipping.
There needs to be a Kirby game collection.I would buy that thrice.
>>91090Your bafflement baffles me.
Super Star's my favorite.
>>91090It's not all that strange. He's had at least one girlfriend in the past: Chuchu the... Sea jelly? Blob Fish? Mushroom? Whatever, it had a mouth and was female. And they were cute together. No idea
>>91109>No idea...I didn't type that.
>>91111Perhaps you should go to sleep.
Super Star all the way. My brother and I must have wasted three hundred hours playing through the game four or five times. We always argued over who would be Kirby and who would be the Helper (Helper > Kirby). I seem to remember playing Kirby most of the time.Good times.
>>91138Playing as Plasma Wisp was GOD-TIER. FLOATING MOTHERFUCKER.
I was always a Mirror kinda guy.It was like having all the power of the waddle-doo and none of the drawbacks. In addition, you reflected shit like some sort of esoteric Pyro with an airblast.
>>91178YO-YO WAS HERE. ALL OTHER ABILITIES ARE LOSERS.
>>91180Fighter was here. YoYo is a chump.
>>91180>>91181I'M SORRYI CAN'T HEAR YOU ALL OVER THE SOUND OF THE VVRRRRRMMMMM!!!
>>91182Naw, man. Suplex was baws. Baring that, Mirror was pretty awesome.Lamest power: Jet. :|
>>91183I think you're forgetting Sleep.
>>91184Well at some point, I think it was in Squeak Squad, Sleep actually re-cooped health.
>>91183Jet was the worst thing. I'd take Wing over fucking JET.
>>91193Damn if it didn't look cool though.Well...cool for Kirby...
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=tvgP72KZL6k&New trailer!Soooo goooood!
This looks amazing. I take it there will be no DS version?
Guys Kirby is like awesome and and and I want this game right now.My favorite Kirby game is Kirby Super Star.
>>91918Oh my godSomeone's literally behind the scenes pulling Dedede's stringsI can't stop smiling this fucking game
>>91918>MY FACE WHEN POYO
Every time he uses the yarn like a whip in combat, I get some serious Indiana Jones vibes, and then I imagine Kirby wearing Indy's hat while using the yarn. It's a good thought.
>>91973I used to draw Kirby crossover comics and one of them was Indiana Kirby.
>>91918Great, hand me the insulin, the trailer gave me diabetes.
>>91981
>>91918Goddamn this looks awesome.
!
more like Kirby's epic yawnnah I'm kidding it looks great
Took 4 years but it looks like Nintendo finally found how to make Shit Kicking Side Scrolling for the Wii. NOW GIMME MY SMRPG2!!!! They reveal that and people will go ape!
>>92104There are TWO current Mario RPG series and both of them are awesome.
>>92104I don't know how to tell you this buddy, but Mario/Luigi and Paper Mario both exist.
>>92109>>92108Noted and while I do enjoy both, they still aren't..it
>>92113That's because they take a lot more influence from the Mario source. They're Mario RPG's, while SMRPG was more of an RPG with Mario in it. I do miss the general feel of RPG's of that era, but I'm not going to say that SMRPG2 is a very good way to bring it back when Mario's already gone through two series that meshed with the franchise much more seamlessly.
>>92114Yea maybe its just me being overly nostalgic seeing Kirby and DKC back after such a long time.

>>93388>Kirby sewing the crying teddy bear's foot
>>93388 >>93394 ffffffffffffffffffffffKinda do want.
Everything about this game is wonderful. It's like visual heroin.
>>93463Nintendo has once again hit its stride at what it does best.
