One of Double Fine's four new games have been announced:

No.89809
Fragile Dreams: Farewell Ruins of the Moon is the dumbest JRPG I’ve played and likely the reason why there are so little RPGs being made for the system. I mean this was a huge departure from most of them as the world has already ended with some apocalypse of unknown origin that occurred long ago and the world is filled with sad and wrathful ghosts giving a reason as to why it’s just you against waves of respawning enemies in decaying buildings, one good idea that deserved a game. AND YET WHAT STARTED OUT SO WELL COULD NOT help but fall into every cliché it could to maintain a stale anime image instead of a game. Shameless gay kiss cut scenes used only to bait shippers , by-the-numbers cute characters that quickly burned off their interesting coating into dull archetypes and the last part of the thankfully short experience becoming a race to stop some cry baby mad scientist from destroying the world again. You had such potential and yet you squandered it for nothing.

>BioShock Infinite is a first-person shooter currently in development at Irrational Games, the studio behind the original BioShock (which sold over 4 million units worldwide). Set in 1912, BioShock Infinite introduces an entirely new narrative and gameplay experience that lifts players out of the familiar confines of Rapture and rockets them to Columbia, an immense city in the sky.

>Former Pinkerton agent Booker DeWitt has been sent to rescue Elizabeth, a young woman imprisoned in Columbia since childhood. Booker develops a relationship with Elizabeth, augmenting his abilities with hers so the pair may escape from a city that is literally falling from the sky. DeWitt must learn to fight foes in high-speed Sky-Line battles, engage in combat both indoors and amongst the clouds, and harness the power of dozens of new weapons and abilities.

>Sonic Colors' lead designer, Takashi Iizuka, has said that anybody who liked Sonic back in the Genesis days should stop looking forward to the upcoming Wii game, reiterating the previous message that Colors is for children in no uncertain terms.
>"We know there are sometimes opinions about control from core gamers, but we're intending Sonic Colors to be played by children of probably between six and twelve years-old," he explains. "So, with Sonic Colors we have aimed to make a game that everyone can control and have fun in. So, it's not really a game for the core gamers. If you take the rail grind, it's something that's fast, not difficult but is fun to do and looks great. It's about making a game that's right for the core audience of the game."

Fox is hammering Medal of Honor by taking their GTTV interview way out of context, as always.

Too bad they're just boosting preorders.

Also too bad that it looks horrible from what I've seen in the previews and multiplayer beta.

Seriously. The weapons are unresponsive and not graded for distance. The maps are 100% linear - there is one and only one way to hit an objective and there is no way defenders can do anything once the bomb is planted. The scorechains (Geoff laughed when he was corrected on this) are no different than killstreaks other than they're useless. It's got worse emitter effects and texture detail than either BC2 or MW2. No, the multiplayer goes through it's own system. And unless it comes with a steam install (my videocard gave me a digital copy of DiRT 2... for whatever reason) you won't have a steam installed version. But it's not a big deal since, as I said, WfC runs on it's own network thing where you have to register/login/etc. My steam username is ToxicRevenger, my WfC username is ToxieFTW.

But you can add it to your steam games list as a non-steam game and people will know when you are playing. By the way, I have it on PC as well, we should play together sometime, I still haven't beaten the campaign lolol.

This is how you fucking do video game creepypasta. I'm sick of the bullshit standard "Oh I got a bootleg game and all the characters were covered in blood and the music was this Latin chanting and the game was talking to ME DIRECTLY AND IT KNEW MY NAME AND THEN A SKELETON POPPED OUT."

This is great because it has ambiance. Shit doesn't pop out at you, the game is just off. It's almost believable in a way. For instance, Link's character model being bent 90 degrees, that's almost something that you could see happening as a glitch. There's nothing extra he added in, it's all done using and manipulating stuff that's already in the game.

And it's TERRIFYING.
