I just discovered that Homm IV, despite its terribleness, had awesome music. To celebrate, lets have a thread for awesome video game soundtracks.
The first couple minutes riding in Mexico are made so pleasant thanks to this music. And then you arrive at town and half the population wants you dead.
>>85110HoMM IV would've been awesome if they'd limit heroes to one per army.On note, most of my friends despised the opera soundtrack. I loved it.
>>85124Growing up with Homm II taught you to appreciate it.
>>85126Heroes II is a major nostalgia rush for me but I don't really recall the Opera from it, must be my subconscious Bloodlines has an amazing soundtrack
DK Rap aside, this game had a great soundtrack.
It doesn't get any more sexyfine than this.
>>85129May have something to do with that only one of the three audio settings had opera. Here's some Trine. I love the fairytailish tone of that game.
I like the whole soundtrack, but this is my favorite.
Enjoy it before the Sheegoth babies attack.
>>85143Hell yes, Phendrana drifts! Actually playing through that game for the first time now (slowpoke.jpg), the music really adds to the atmosphere
Music is my favorite part of games, half the time.
Hurray for made up languages that actually can be translated.
ARRRRRRGH
Vodka Drunken... I mean Soda Popinski got the best theme in the new Punch-Out.
>>85160Now, if this were slightly longer, like five minutes, then this would be perfect.
I always feel a little sad when I hear this one.
Tut tut, it looks like rain.
Shit is about to hit the fan and blood is about to splatter everywhere else.
>>85140 Or this.
I can't think of anything to say, but I can't post this without text.
Do I need to remind everyone that I fucking love most Sonic soundtracks?
You are now crying manly tears.
>>85299>You are now crying tears of easy-listeningfix'd
Oh my god I could just listen to it forever.
I like John William's music, but it's nice to get an original score instead of constantly reusing the music from the films.
>>85325 Hell, just get a bunch of people chanting in Mandalorian and it can work wonders.
I'm not sure if this song is actually good or not, all I know is I love it.
Can't let you... oh, you know the rest, Fox.
>>85332 Faster, and with more feeling!
So, you like to play Castlevania?
>>85333The sax or whatever it is in the Assault version that makes it for me.
I suddenly felt like listening to this. I think it got something to do with the vidya brokama thread.
Running through the rain with a half-dead imp on my back.
>>85413Also Brawling on a bridge at sunset.
OHMYGODOHMYGODOHMYGODhttp://www.zreomusic.com/index.php
>>85513Speaking of which.
You are now crying manually.
>>85517On doomsday, have faith. In Their names, forever and ever.Amen.
Make way for the emperor!
Hey Water Dragon, I know whatever vague thing you're going to say now is important, but can it wait while I enjoy this music?
>>85541>>85543Regardless of their gameplay, you can bet that a Bioware game will have amazing music.
I love the sheer scale of this battle.
>>85571 You can say that again.
I play this every time I feel slightly depressed or religious. Or when I take a nap.
>>85771Shame its completely impossible to find a good quality version of that song
>>85844It's easy.Download dvdvideosoft so you can download the audio straight out of the Youtube video.
Have some more Trine.
It's not the Imperial March, but it'll do just fine.
What's up with the thread dying?
I've never played a single Ys game and I get the feeling nobody in Japan has either; they're too busy making a million different versions of all the kickass music.
The greatest sim-type game ever.
TenNapel used to be funny
>>86721It really shouldn't. So many awesome tracks left to post.
I seriously don't remember the Billy Hatcher soundtrack being this amazing. Granted, it's been many a year.
Also, everything else in the OST.
This NEEDS a cover, badly.
There's a lot of awesomely epic music in this thread, it's about time we had a song for those who prefer it more... pleasantly understated.
Haters may hate.
this song just hits all my nostalgia buttons
>>89951The fact that I don't remember this song makes me realize I've never gotten far in this game.
Capcom had some fantastic 8-bit composers.
I almost forgot how good this soundtrack is. This here is my favorite.
What are you afraid of, little bat?
>>89999I nostalgia'd, hard.
It's like they asked Daft Punk to do something for a few minutes.
>>90005Holy shit
>>90005SAKURAI REMIX
Persona's got some great and catchy battle music.
Best Donkey Kong Country track, reporting in!
RUN FOR YOUR LIVES
I just realised what this thread was missing.
>>90095Smooth beats?
I think the new songs are where the soundtrack really gets to shine this time around.
Dance with an angel!
This shit makes me wanna wear aviators at the PC.
