Remember (I don't think you do) like a year or two ago when I said I was going to work on /co/mrade bears? Well here's the bears that will be turned into /co/mrade 's. Should I start work on them? Would anyone want them?
YES DAMMIT, I'VE BEEN WAITING FOR FUCKING EVER.I will want one. Do continue.
Though, I thought it was agreed that it would be smarter to find a bear that's already light blue and focus on the clothes the most? Also, anyone have the original /co/mrade bear pic. It said "hugz time" or something.
Cool wallpaper(?), Misery.
>>29150I couldn't find blue bears or color white bears blue without them looking like a tie dye mess, then I gave up on the project and got busy with life. Now I'm going to work on it since I found thrift stores that sell toys. Brown is what I'm gonna work with unless I'm super lucky and find a blue bear that isn't a Care Bear. >>29151It's the photo shoot background, I got a bunch of old comics for a dollar at the flea market, glad you like.
>>29157AH, that's the pic. Thanks. So what, it's just going to be a brown bear in a blue suit & red mask (and red gloves?) or will you attempt to dye the brown to light blue?Because, the light blue is what sells it, mang. I want a /co/mrade bear, not a The Spirit bear. Why not go a wholesale route with light blue bears or attempt a stronger dye job?
>>29164Okay fine, which one of these do you like better?this one
>>29182or these
>>29182The eyes on this one are cuter. :3
>>29189The eyes will be covered by the domino mask Bea
>>29182>>29183Hmm. The former looks nice, but the blue is a bit too dark and mixed with white. Eyes are bigger, so we can probably see it through the mask. Not digging the white snout...The latter...I'm thrown off by how the arms & legs look. But, I figure they can be covered up by the clothing. Nice shade of blue. Beady eyes, so their might be a problem with the mask; it'd have to be pretty small & compact. How big are both & are the bows removable? Also, dumping all the "/co/mrade" pics I have for reference. Forgive me if I don't name their makers, as I don't know them.
I think that's all I have...
>>29200The bows and stuff can be removedIt's going to look like the "Hugz Time" bear, clothes and mask wise.>>29182 is 18cm tall>>29183 are 15" tallI like and want to use this one, It's 12" tall
>>29211We should update this.
>>29215This is nice. I like this one.So, how are these getting made, quantity wise? You take orders now and then make them or make them & then see who wants one? I figure you want to keep the initial costs down.
>>29240I was going to make two, but you seem like the only one who wants one, so I'm making one. If someone else wants one I'll make another.
I think you're on to something with these bears, Misery. The problem you have now would be filling demand. :)
>>29266>The problem you have now would be filling demandIt seems like only Venkman wants one and long time ago Dr. Gradamit wanted one also. I haven't seen Dr. Gradamit around here in so long.....
>>29215I just bought this bear, I hope that it get's here by next week.
>>29274So, to get this out of the way...how much will this cost me? Rough estimate since it's still in the early stages.
>>29303Does $35 sound fair?
>>29305Considering the size of the bear...perhaps. Let's see the final product.
It arrived, will post progress updates soon.
Domino mask and tie are completeNext is the blazer and shirt
>>29479So far, so good.
>>29479and then you never finish it because nothing ever gets finished on /coc/NOTHING.
>>29553It'll get done, I've got to find a book or something on how to make teddy bear clothes. It's been so long since I made teddy bear clothes I kinda forgot how to do it.
>>29216
>>29570I imagine the right one's head is upside down.
