How about a new Project?

I just read into Valerian and Laurelie, and it looks extremely interesting.

It has 40 episodes, all of which are available in a batch torrent on Isohunt.

Is any French-anon willing to work on this show for us ignorant Englishfags?

Looks interesting.
Can't shake off an "Orihime Inoue" vibe from the gal's looks, though.

Is this the same show that someone suggested a while back? I wonder if that thread is still up. I remember thinking about volunteering but I am bad with internet commitments.

The comics is so much better than the cartoon...

What the fuck. I grew up reading these comics but I had no idea that there's a cartoon.

Doesn't look very faithful to the original shit, though. I mean, if they had managed to nail the art style and overall color schemes etc. from the drawings, it would have been really unique and pleasing.

While I never got to read them myself, I heard that they were most likely a large influence for Star Wars, and I've been curious about them since. I should probably get around to finding translations of it all, though I know it's not as easy to find as just finding a translation of a manga or such. Still, I barely passed 3 years of French, maybe I can manage to get the basic idea.

They're pretty nice, it's been ages since I read them though so I have no idea how they hold up to my current standards. But most importantly the art fucking owns

Ok I am willing to help try and get this project off the ground.

Sadly all I can do is timing so you would still need translators, someone to encode it, and probably an editor.

Why the hell not. You have a translator then (who will need some proof readers though).

So.... is project happening,or what?

No replies? I guess that means this project is dead.Too bad,so sad :(

No.29158
Wouldn't call it dead when it was never alive.

Oh I remember this. Back then I had actually begun to translate some Petit Spirou stories. Might as well finish it indeed.

>Petit Spirou

But I want my delicious Melusine...

Also, stuff by Gotlib just NEEDS to be translated. I got super awesome resolution scans of Rubrique-a-brac awhile ago, I really need to upload them.

"Talking" works of Gotlib are near impossible to translate : witty and/or stupid puns everywhere, references to 60's and 70's politics... I grew up reading Gotlib, and there are some stuff I still can't decipher.
