Who the fuck locked the last Wakfu thread. Everything was running so smooth.
>over 500 postsLet's just get back to business.
Who gives a fuck, last one had over a thousand. But agreed, back to business. Also Armand dies.
I think we're going to find out another member of the party is actually dragon.Stroudrueljagran.
I want to do my part, as nobody important, to help with subbing and timing. But before I start, what programs do I need? Like Adobe Premiere? And do I need extra codecs and misc plugins to export into MKV?
Again extending an offer to help with timings or anything else I can. Have large audio experience, I assume I can translate that to pinning voices to frequencies and timing.
>>26682You could adjust the gain, most of the recent rips are so soft one would have to max out all volume sliders to hear things normally.
Why is it that even though Adamai is a dragon(ette) he doesn't get a cool name like Grougaloragran or whatever his name is?
>>26681>>26682Well you could start by trying your hand with subbing some of the older eps your way.The scripts are in the old wakfu threads if you're wondering, So yeah, let us see what you can do with a raw, a script and a mixing program. >>26691 Skip to the later half for the Goultard special. It has storytelling, voiceacting, and a lot of extended scenes - they turned it into a proper episode.Sometimes it feels like a mish-mash, the new scenes don't fit with the old ones. Especially the swordfighting at the end (the chain disappears and reappears). But it's as bloody as it originally was - especially the Sacrieur. The only thing I noticed to be omitted was Goultard marrying the witch triplets, it's only one witch now. But I'm not 100% sure they were supposed to be triplets to begin with, someone who first described Goultards story said they were triplets who were constantly trying to steal from the town, with Goultard stopping them, and they eventually started liking each other. If that's his official story, it is much simplified here.

Does anyone in the old thread(especially Caedo and Frenchy Anon)knows that we moved here?
>>26696OOOOOK ?
I will work on the script tonight, have a lot to do today once again (why is it always the day there's a sub to do that I have a lot of side-stuff to do too ? :( )Though the episode is quite short, this may take a bit of time since I'd like to try keeping the rhymes the narrator speaks in. No promises though.

actually... i'd prefer to see Nox special BEFORE the grand finale , you know why.
>>26692>It has storytelling, voiceacting, and a lot of extended scenes - they turned it into a proper episode. They added no new animation or anything like that. It had all those things already, the complete version was merely never shown outside of conventions. Most people simply mistook the net trailer for the actual thing.
>Most people simply mistook the net trailer for the actual thing.Well that`s an embarrassing thing.(And yes, i did mistook it for the real thingy as well(^.^`) )
They added quite a bit of new animation. The old trailer was 3min long. The new one is ~15, and there is only so much you can do to pad the story.I liked it, but it felt like an unnecessary jump to the predictable BAD END, when the guy was supposed to live kicking so much ass his feet permamently smell of shit. What's the rest of the series gonna be about, goultard the immortal omni-rape god of carnage?
So, that's it? Some cheesy poof channeling Hunter Thompson's left nut, going around the studio for 20 mins and a brief somethingsomething about Goultard? That's quite the downer.
>goultard the immortal omni-rape god of carnage?Yeah, I'd watch that. And no, this wasn't a series, just a short movie that predates Wakfu by years. Ankama released the full version because the TV channel screwed over their fans by not airing the last Wakfu episodes till june.
>>26717I know the "why". I also heard it's the pilot. IE, there is more.
>>26714>They added quite a bit of new animation. The old trailer was 3min long. The new one is ~15, and there is only so much you can do to pad the story. No, reread the other message. The three minutes trailer that could be found on the net all these years WAS NOT the original Goultard short. It was a *trailer*.The original short was never shown on the net, only in conventions, and the 11 minutes one they showed on this saturday is the convention version animation-wise, they only redid the soundtrack. There *isn't* even one more sequence compard to the original.and>>26717Actually they've wanted to release Goultard for about a year already, but they also wanted to reanimate it, but it turns out they simply didn't have time and would never get around to doing it so in the end they went for a compromise and chose to only redo the soundtrack and touch up a few frames.
>>26718You misunderstood. Despite being a Dofus story it was a pilot for the Wakfu project. There's only more in the sense that the Wakfu series is more.
>>26689>Well you could start by trying your hand with subbing some of the older eps your way.>The scripts are in the old wakfu threads if you're wondering,>So yeah, let us see what you can do with a raw, a script and a mixing program. THAT SOUNDS SOMEWHAT LIKE A CHALEEEEEEEEEEEEENGE?!Mind, it'll take me a while to figure out if I get higher quality taking in the raw .flv with Premiere or if converting it with Super and doing the subs in Vegas is acceptable. And then there's figuring out what to convert it to. But I'll have you yet, buddy.

I found the ankama offices bit more compelling than the actual short, tbh. The way they'd put graphics in amongst everything made me concentrate far more than on plain animation. I wasn't expecting great things of the goultard short though, this was done ages before episode three and five, and we know what Ankama thinks of those episodes.

Strike of bad luck here :(My internet connection went down yesterday (posting from parent's home, yay for Mothers' day)What I'm gonna do :I'll make a raw script for the Goultard short so that people understand what they say (might not be as polished as previous wakfu scripts but hopefully there's not much dialogues anyway)This will be a good occasion for those who want to help to give a try at subbing (also, if someone can isolate the 11' short from the rest of the video...)Then, when I get my internet back, I'll have a second pass at the script, and will also translate the interviews. Also, about the narrator's rhymes, I will translate the basic meaning first and see if some of you might find good rhymes in english while keeping a close meaning. I'll include them in the second pass.See you soon (crossfingers)

Ah, France.
Finally got the Goultard bit isolated in Vegas, playing with output formats. Also regarding >.mpg in .avi? "Creating .mp4s?" What the flying fuck are you on about? I didn't say .mpg, I was referring to MPEG-4 encoded video in a .AVI container (very bad, due to the limited B-frame support in standard AVI). He stated he was having issues creating an .mp4, I was pointing out that you don't actually create an .mp4 file per se, you create the audio/video streams and mux them into the .mp4 container. >And I'm sure you're really a pro multimedia man...[] I never claimed to be a pro of any sort. in fact I'm still in my apprenticeship as part of a 4 year degree program. Just little note about about the Goultard short, isn`t that Rubilax in the sacrieur`s hands?Yes,I know,it's not the same design(exept for the eye)but things change between pilots and their series. There's a few hints in the series that Goultard was the previous owner(mostly in 22),and an early preview of Wakfu(which mixed goultard scenes with episode 5 scenes)showed Sadlygrove holding a rubilax with its blade open like a jaw, similar to what the sacrieur's sword did....
Small correction, just saw the clip again, the scene is a pupiless Sadlygrove with Rubilax resting on his shoulder with a jaw design(just not open though).
>>26846It'd make sense considering he's Pinpin's mentor and all and Rubilax is obviously frightened of him, but I don't know any of Dofus' canon.
>>26846>There's a few hints in the series that Goultard was the previous owner(mostly in 22)You mean that he knows all the ShuShus considering he trained their keepers and probably aided in their original capture, or is at least the most recent head of whatever World of 12 initiative was responsible for doing so.
>>26862 We don't know that he knows ALL the shushus, and that he instructed all the guardians(do you know whether he has even met with Ombrage's current guardian?)If you have reliable source that proves your point, please do share it with us.Any good info is welcomed.(And I'll apologize if my comments are hurtful in any ways)True,Rubilax's recognition of Goultard is not evidence of ownership. It helps but it wasn't what I was pointing to.If you'll notice I did say MOSTLY 22.Eps 2 and 6(vampyro) ,comments made in those episodes seem to suggest(and I'm using the word suggest and not the word confirm here)that the then unnamed instructor and ex owner may be one and the same.22 confirms who the instructor is.And then, there is Rubilax's early design to consider(how many swords with that snapping jaw design do you know?).I realize this just speculation on my part.I thought it would be fun to just throw this here, and see what people make of this.I'm not taking this as a fact.We should not snap at each other(least of all when the counter argument is speculative as well).

Dunno, can't remember at all, but it said something in the likes of "The Shushu dungeon, lead by Rubilax, the ancient Shushu master/boss/chef/-."...Something like that - id est, if Rubilax was the ancient Shushu, he probably knows each of the younger ones. >>26925This guy is Rushu, the arch-demon who created all Shushus
Rubilax is "just" a powerful Shushu. Compare him to the Map Shushu (forgot name, I'll call him just MS) and you will know what's going on. MS wanted to have owner so badly, while Rubilax is quite picky when it comes to his owner. My bet is:1. Rubilax was defeated and caged by Goultard. Then it was given to Grovy.2. Rubilax is ancient Shushu and, even if it is "only" level 4 demon, it's also somehow well known in the world of Shushus. We can safely assume that Shushus are like the orcs in W40k - they respect stronger and more cunning, but they laugh at weaker ones. However, Ruby seems to be on good terms with Ormage - a level 5 Shushu. So it seems that Shushus aren't about their level only - achievments are important too. And Rubilax has done something significant, which gained him a respect of the other Shushus (hint: its plan to free Shushus or hatred toward dragons (it can be "genetical" though)).
>>26947>However, Ruby seems to be on good terms with Ormage - a level 5 Shushu. So it seems that Shushus aren't about their level only - achievments are important too.Or it's just the fact that all Shushus beyond a point are classified as "major", and the majors all seem to have a bit of respect for each other. How many elements/levels/whatever a Shushu has seems to only indicate how strong a Shushu is, but not anything else.I mean, Rubilax made it sound like he had the authority and capacity to control an army of other Shushus if he freed them, including Ombrage. So obviously either the elements/levels mean little outside of when they're in weapon form (I mean, that's how I took the explanation in Vampyro- that Rubilax had four abilities he could grant in weapon form, whereas Ombrage had a fifth) or pretty much anything classified as "major" is on par with or close to everyone else in that category.
>>26943Don't worry, you were supposed to. He's in the background, kinda fuzzy, and there's a LOT going on in the foreground. This was very much set up to prevent our noticing him.
Rubilax isn't "just" a 4-element Shushu; IIRC 4-element demons are supposed to be very powerful. Ombrage was MORE powerful, but only when she was in possession of Wagnar. For the record, "Map Shushu" is named Grufon.

Since Frenchy seems to have serious technical issues, and since I had some time to spare today, here's a script for Goultard episode.http://www.megaupload.com/?d=1YJ9XCY0My apologies: my English is kinda rusty, so my translation may sound somewhat 'monkey' from time to time. But it should be understandable all the same. ^_^So, until Frenchy is back among us, enjoy!
>>27025you wanna see off model you should check out Igol in the nox special.
>>27040Is it anything like D'AWWWWW Igol?
>>27040 You can't talk about staying on-model if the whole episode uses a completely different art style.
can we please drop the on-model stuff?
>>27048
by the way, inside ankama 15 is outhttp://www.ankama.com/fr/203-video-inside-ankama/5574-inside-ankama-15some new frames on the finale, like a very derp Pinpin
>>27060I made those. Wanted to know more about N.
>>27063Looks like N. will travel from Wakfu : the Guardians to Dofus , and that this time/space travel will have a link with the very end of the series
>>27036I've taken the liberty of converting the narrated parts of your translation into proper rhymes. Whoever subs the episode is free to use them if they want to. I'd be glad about any feedback as well.http://www.megaupload.com/?d=XAQ1335WAlso, Goultard looks like the goddamn Lich King there.
So I saw a thread on /tg/ discussing episode 25 saying its out. yet I dont see any links here.
>>27068It's not. /tg/ is full of shit.
>>27069k
>>27060I AM THE NIGHT!
>>27067Sounds good to me, and keeps the meaning of the whole thing.Nice job! ^_^
>>27067Argh.Good job keeping the flow with the original. I tried coming up with a way to make the monster/fighting line stick with the original, but I couldn't get any closer than path/combat. That's a fucking hard one to do in english.>>27036It's good enough for me. Just one misunderstanding- is Kritur's son supposed to talk like the Hulk/a moron, or not? I assumed by the use of "ouch" as a verb that he was.
>>27081>is Kritur's son supposed to talk like the Hulk/a moronYes, he does talk like a moron and doesn't make proper sentences.> I assumed by the use of "ouch" as a verb that he was.He says 'Toi bobo moi'. 'Bobo' is a very childish way to say 'it hurts'. I felt that 'ouch' was a proper translation.
>>27083Okay. I just got confused by him saying "devour" after talking like that. It just felt off, like HULK MAD! HULK AM FRAGMENTATE AUTOMOBILES!
>>27084> I just got confused by him saying "devour" after talking like thatActually he says 'bouffer' which is slang for 'eat'. And here it implies something more violent than just 'to eat'. That's why I came up with 'devour'.But you're right, it's definitely too high class for his Hulk level!
>>27083If he's making a childish expression of pain, why not use "Owwie" or "Ouchie"? Lots of adults use 'ouch'.
>>27086Snap, should've used "chomp" or "munch" then.Alas, I am already uploading and busy playing Minecraft.
>>27087>>27089Well, I'm afraid I'm lacking English slang since it's something you don't learn at school...So, let's make a V2 script together. Any revision from native speakers to my awkward English is welcomed. Feel free to ask me if you don't get the meaning of something.
>>27090It's cool. That was the only thing "off", and it wasn't really. Just a trivial tone thing.Hell, if ole' Frenchy doesn't ever come back, I'd be grateful if you did the translation on the final.
Righto. Goultard Special softsub, .mp4 and an .ass.http://www.megaupload.com/?d=UFADINZBAs far as I know it works fine in WMP, Mplayer, and VLC.Frenchy said he intended on doing the whole special IIRC, and I'd just as soon wait to make it hard until then, but if anybody has a fit over it I'll make the hardsub tomorrow.
>>27096Thanks a lot!
OOOK !Back on business at last ! Here's my version of the script : http://www.mediafire.com/?41yzmnnxni2>>27036Nice job, I like your style. To anyone making the subs : feel free to pick from both versions, they are both correct and complement each other (Mine is more litteral and close to the french version, while Kennymc's is more fluid in the phrasing).By the way Kennymc, would you consider making scripts for future contents ? It's always nice to have two different and complementary approaches on a translation.>>27067I must say, I'm really impressed. I wasn't expecting to have all rhymes at once, so fast, ans so fitting.Maybe the only one I would try to improve, while the v.2 is not out yet, is this one :>One thought the fury was asleep forever,>Unless, maybe, one strike him right in the heart.Which turned into>Forever sleeping was the wrath he bore,>unless he should be… shaken to the core.I'd like to find one which keeps the "heart" rhyme (or any variation on "love" or "beloved") for it is really the punch line of this narration sequence. But hey, that's just me nitpicking ^^ , the "core" verion will do if we can't find a "heart" one.
>>27100Thanks for the kind words. I'm glad you guys seem to like them.As for the change you suggested, I can try, but I couldn't come up with a rhyme to heart. I figured "part" - referring to the wrath as part of him, would work, but I couldn't fit that into a proper sentence. The second line of that verse would work as"Unless he were struck right into the heart."The problem is the first.
>>27100>unless he should be… shaken to the core. YYYEAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAHSorry, I could not resist
Goultard special doesn't have subs no matter what media player I play it inWhat do I do?
>>27105a barrel roll(sorry, couldn't resist)
Wait... What is that Goultard special everyone is talking about?O.oAlso, yeah! Episodes 25-27 are going to be tomorrow on France 3... And I have a satellite receiver + Full HD Plasma display :D
>>27108that's very crafty my friend.>>27065oh, plot thickens!tyvm. i didnt understood a word from this video.
>>27105Most media players have the option to load subs from a file manually. That said, as long as the .ass is in the same folder and has the same name as the file, they should load automatically.
damnit i have a free-to-air sattelite uplink but it's knocked out. I can't believe i could be watching wakfu on a 60" screen...
>>27100>By the way Kennymc, would you consider making scripts for future contents ?I'll try to contribute as much as I can. ;-)If you want, maybe we can share the work with what's coming up this saturday.
>>27115just a suggestion, don't mean to sound bossy, but why don't one of you work on 25 and the other on 26?i am sure we can all agree the finale is more important than the nox special. we know how the nox thing ends :(
>>27117Nox special should be aired 2 years ago befiore the Wakfu cartoon started. :P
You guys better do the highest possible quality capture of the last episodes. Is that channel HD by any chance?
>>27100What do you guys think of this one?"His wrath lay dormant, no need on his part, unless he were struck right into the heart."
Let's also agree not to spoil anything. I would really like to watch it subbed right off the bat. I'm missing it anyway due to work all weekend and don't want to wait for nothing. For those who don't know, (spoiler) and (/spoiler) with the square brackets will hide textin return, awesome reaction face Eva
That guy Goultard was fighting.... was he a Sacrier?
Considering the masochism and blood manipulation - yeah.
My apologies for not being around for this, I saw Frenchie was out of commission, and wasn't checking back near as often as I probably should have. Many thanks to all those who stepped forward to get this done!As a very small contribution, I've taken the liberty of muxing the subs into the more highly compressed version of the cut that was posted, and also encoding a quick hardsub.*I take NO credit for ANY of the work done on this special, and have made no modifications beyond what was required to produce the hardsub*Filesizes are about 120MB.Muxed Softsub:http://www.megaupload.com/?d=ZOICJYXHHardsub MP4:http://www.megaupload.com/?d=C8UXM17W
>>27123Ooh, I like.
>>27129Rock on Caedo!>>27124Oh gosh, this. I was actually just thinking about making this same request. If people really feel the urge to have a discussion on the episodes before subs come out they should take it to /co/. I'M SO FUCKING PUMPED. SHITS ABOUT TO GET REAL TOMORROW.
I watched the special! Nice work with the rhyming!...uploading, encoding, translating and timing...It brings me joy to see this great thread.Even though every preview fills me with dread ;_;
FFFFFFFFFFUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUU !!!!!!!!! I KNEW something would go wrong. /ultrafacepalmI just read the wakfu forums and France 3 is fucking things up at the last minute once again. They will air the 3 episodes as scheduled, but they used their exclusivity contract one last time to force Ankama to upload the episodes one week after another. That means ep.24 (again) this week, ep.25 next week, ep.26 in two weeks and Nox special in three weeks.I can dust off an old VCR and record ep 25 and 26 this morning to start working on the translation, but I won't be able to do the same for the Nox special (can't get France 4 at home). I sincerely hope someone with a HD recorder can get all 3 episodes + the Nox special today and upload them.Caedo, if you read this in time, can you check if the person that gives you your HD sources has access to France 4 ?
>>27136> can you check if the person that gives you your HD sources has access to France 4 ?Yes, he does... No stress, there will be raws!
>>27137ILU <3will you marry me ?OOOK !
>>27136then the whole hype was for nothing.goddamit france!
>>27136maybe I'm just being optimistic but the haven't changed their new regarding releasing on the internet on their website.
>>27141so do i , but i found suspicious why there was no previews of episodes on the site...

>>27143Well, it's obvious it isn't turning up on the site now.God speed getting the Raws uploaded as quickly as possible.Christ, what madness.
>>27143Aw dammit. I knew I should have stayed away from here. I need to go to bed. I'm supposed to go to a baby shower this afternoon anyway.
>>27147you better delete that spoiler. not for me, but for everyone else.
also i thought some people are rich enought o have such recorder... for this kind of stuff.
>>27147>>27148Agreed.Teasing is one thing, but real spoilers should wait for the episodes to actually be released. Please stay vague meanwhile.
>>27149I suspect many didn't know the web episodes would only be uploaded later and thus didn't bother to record it because they thought they could just get it online
>>27152and it was realized in the last minute... ...it's almost a dick move.
>>27153almost ?
>>27154okay , IT IS A DICK MOVE.
Argh... Okay. Was THAT the last episode of season 1?Because something lame came after that and I just did not want to watch that stupidity.
>>27156Yes, it was the end of season 1
>>27156Wait, you mean mini wakfu?
>>27158France 3 messed up again. They cut the small credit animations like they did in ep. 23, and they put the mini-wakfu linked with episode 11 instead of 26.

>>27160Creatively awesome people that don't internets too well.
>>27161i'd call them trolls... ultimate trolls.
So, are you guys recording the episodes, right?
>>27158No!It was a lame biceps or something.Mini Wakfu was fun - I mean, maybe they messed up, but I haven't seen those anyways, so who cares.
>>27165That was a totally different series. 1st season of Wakfu pretty much ends with what you've seen today

>>27180as long as watchable i'm in.

So, try these if you just can't wait, but we will still need Kennymc's encodes for the subs.
DB updated with raws.Someone please post the links to softsubs of episodes 1 to 15, they are missing.
well there are no softsubs
You guys are generally pretty niceSo please don't spoil these episodes for me before I can watch them with subsI want to get the full experience and not see it in a language I can't understand a word of
One word:IRONY
Frenchies, hows the Nox special?
goddamit. must not spoil but...dammit! kinda wish i hadnt been so impatient and had waited for the subs...
>>27198I'm gonna do that. For what it's worth, please don't spoil
>>27198heh, get over it. fucking OGREST man he is the ultimate being , i can't bieleve they added him.
semi spoiler:must find a way to go adequetly express my pain and sorrow...like smashing things. or writing bad fanfiction.
Everything I`m going to say is a spoiler:Well i kinda hoped that Nox wins, because if he won Tristepin wouldn`t have died, nor Grougaloragran(i don`t think they are going to revive him any time soon),poor guy just wanted his family back, and if he succeed he would have repaired all his mistakes. But yet Tristepin,Evangeline,Amalia and Yugo wouldn`t have ever met.(Grougaloragran and Adamai would have come back to Yugo right?).Semi spoiler coming up next:And who the hell is N!? Probably the next villain,or the next good guy(but I really doubt that)
>>27202Apparently, N is connected to the new Dofus expansion. I saw a short video that showed N, then a time rift appeared and Nox was seen, it flashed through a few scenes of the final episode and the Dofus expansion teaser, and N jumped down a cliff and into the rift. He doesn't seem evil though.
>>27200 I kinda expected Nox to go up against him as well.
Dammit! I forgot.Oh well. At least I will get to see it subbed. RIGHT?!
Hi guyz !My apologies : felt so tired after lunch, I took a nap and overslept mor than I planned.Working on the script right now, see you in a few hours.
By the way, how long was it?Also, random note for those who want France 3 on satellite: It is free (not encrypted) on Atlantic Bird 3, 5.0° W.
>>27202N is apparently just a videogame tie-in. On the other hand when Yugo grabs the cube there's a vision of another more evil-looking eliatrope that's probably gonna be one of the second season big bads, plus the first Wakfu series trailer displayed Ogrest as a villain above Nox, so I guess we're headed this path
Holy crap... I have no words.
Here is the Nox Special Sorry if already posted http://www.megaupload.com/?d=GJSTJO9S
From the french Catsuka forum, turns out the (cut) ending credits for episode 26 tell what happened to Nox after he got away. Curse you, France 3!
>>27210 Thanks, updated the DB.Whoah, that Goultard thing is seriously violent. Sacrieurs blood control ftw. Also - that is going to be another series, right?
>>27212Nope, Goultard basically served as a proof of concept for the Wakfu animated series project. There were at some point mentions of a possible Dofus series of web shorts named Dofus Tournament Championship but that's unrelated to Goultard, not to mention stuck in development hell.
THERE IS A THREAD ON /CO/ FOR DISCUSSING THE EPISODES. https://plus4chan.org/boards/co/res/61361.html Please use that instead of this thread.
Well, well... It's been a hella busy of a day....Here are my encodes of Wakfu 25, 26, and Nox special raws. I'm not sure anybody's expecting 'em anymore; but since it took me 5 hours to upload 'em, I think I'll post 'em all the same! ;-P'Vive la France' and its sluggish prehistoric ADSL!So!Wakfu 25:http://www.megaupload.com/?d=8XTIANOPWakfu 26:http://www.megaupload.com/?d=NJ1WSSHONox Episode:http://www.megaupload.com/?d=7YHFL325These are DVB-T rips @ 576iI do hope the quality is at least a little better than what's been posted so far...@ Caedo:Expect the raw .ts soon. I've tried something different this time; if it worked expect a better quality than usual.
Arrrgh. This has to come out just as I start working! So what's the game plan for subbing the finale and Nox special? Is Frenchie doing both episodes, or is Ken helping? Is Caedo going to do all the timing, or is someone else (I guess me since I did Goultard while he was gone) helping?I mean, I'm content just watching the raws and waiting until I see scripts before just going at it, but I'd feel better if there was some variety of plan in place.
aah, thanks for the HQ raws.I'd like to politely ask you guys to start subbing with the nox special, and not the finale. It's the most awesome animation I've seen in forever, and the bad guy backstory is extremely interesting. The finale also gets the "point across" much better even if you don't understand the language, unlike the Nox special.
Funtip: The Nox special was animated by the team behind Kaiba.
>>27215You're kidding right , HD raws compared to the low-quality raws we had sooner are by no means a waste of time ;). Good job !Here's the script for episode 25 : http://www.mediafire.com/?nxwvmognmh1A little question though about the wording "I'm entering the legend". I know it bothered some people, who thought it sounded wierd in english. This is, I think the way it was phrased in previous episodes, making it a running motto for Grovy. However, do you think it should be changed (any suggestion), or is it quite understandable as is ?
>>27219It shouldn't be changed, reason being it's the catch phrase of the entire damned show, it has it on the english website, even.
>>27220It's fine in english too. A nonissue. Leave 'er be.>>27219>Here's the script for episode 25And I was just about to play Minecraft with the remainder of my night.Ah, well.
>>27219Is there any way someone can contact you, Frenchy? I'm a wee bit, uh...confused. Particularly about Yugo suddenly using rhyming slang.Did he really say that, or were you trying to use it as an analogous phrase?
>>27223well, I can join any livestream if you want to talk about this, just give me the name of the channel

Godamnit Ankama! I cried manly tears after seeing episode 25...
behold wakfu's secrete session two boss.
watch out for the horns!
he will take your money.
Oh noes, a jew!
wtf people, get me the script to 26 and the nox special. what the fuck are you frenchies doing?
>>27236Don't be like that.
>>27236Wow, ungrateful much? They were released less than 24 hours ago. If you think they should be out already learn french and translate it yourself.
>>27234Freshly squeezed orange jews?
I just can't believe how things have ended in these last episode...I mean...this is too sad for meWhy did Grovy have to die? Will he ever come back? I miss him already.
>>27242I feel the same way. Though probably not as sad as I am concerned. The show just won't be the same without him.
Hi there!Since I guess Frenchy's already working on episode 26's script, on my side I've done Nox's script.Enjoy!http://www.megaupload.com/?d=3ZFXX0Q6>>27219Well, yesterday I was just pretty angry I couldn't release my raws sooner. After having taken a little nap, everything's better! ;-)
But one thing still bothers meThem showing Ogrest and Nox escaping after the battle is giving me this uncertain feeling. Something else may come up or this story is far from over
Guys, there's a discussion thread on +/co/. Discuss it there.
>>27245Gratuitious ceremonial buttsex ensues thereafter.
>>27246I'm trying.
DBupAgain, does anybody know when will Wakfu reprise from season 1?Also, >>27215, how do you record from sat receiver? Or did you?
Okay here's the script for ep 26. Sorry again for the delay, I had many things to do tonight. Enjoy !http://www.mediafire.com/?iemaamqwjd0Also, some little adjustments were made on ep25 script, but I think they were included in >>27241*now crawling to bed like a zombie*
>>27217HAHA!I named a screencap of Nox almost the exact same.
>>27255I love you so much.
>>27254I use a DVD recorder with integrated DVB-T tuner. Then I rip the DVD onto my computer. It's far to be the best way to do things; but when you have no other capture device, it does the trick.
>>27203In Wakfu Les Gardiens he doesn`t appear to control himself, and boy he has 2.5 times more power than nox ultimate(and you have to fight him with your normal power =( ),but they met Tristepin in the same way, so he might be in the new season as a guide for Yugo.Who knows we might see Emrub in the next season.
The DB has a fancy new look.Hope you like it. :D
>see the scripts>see the subtitles for ep. 25I love you guys
>>27257Yes. I agree!
Help guys.I'm trying to download all the wakfu episodes for a marathon with my and my mates next week.Obviously I thought I could use the one month in advance to get my living all settled up and stuff...and just hafta buy foods and party favors. In any case, tried downloading the eps from Megaupload, but the stupid thing won't let me since it kept saying I have reached my download limit...BUT I HAVEN'T DONE IT YET!!So yeah, hook up /co/mrade out with mediafire or *shudder*rapidshare links. It'll be much obliged~~~<3<3<3
I have blue stripes over the Nox special episode, is this canon?
25 hasn't been subbed yet, right?

>>27269Thank youWhat media player is the best for this?
>>27270http://www.cccp-project.net/Learn it. Live it. Love it.
>>27215May I ask, how to get screenshots from these files without them getting all squashed?Pic related is the result of my attempts so far.
>>27271Wait, i have both in the same folder, i enable subs and load the .ass and then the video. What now? The subs don't show.
>>27272Huh? Probably just use VLC. Or print screen.VLC will play it in original ratio and by snapshotting it keeps it in the same ratio (and size). Print screen needs just a little bit of cropping and you have the ratio OK.
>>27271So what exactly does this do?
>>27273You just play the video file without messing with the sub file, it should work.
>>27275For starters it eliminates all the problems people have been having with softsubs up until episode 24.
>>27276I did the same thing (put the .mkv and .ass in the same folder with nothing else in it) and when I play the .mkv, no subs. Not in Media Player Classic, nor in VLC. Loading the .ass file manually in VLC doesn't work eitherWhat am I doing wrong
>>27274Printscreen doesn't work, for some reason on Kenny's files. Shit is weird.
>>27276Looking at the sub file, they don't start until around 1:42, however there is a beginning part with Ruel, along with parts missing
>>27280Fast forwarded to about 2 minutes inSTILL NO SUBTITLESI MAD
you need to name the sub file the same as the vid
You can also mux the files together (merge all files into one)Download thishttp://www.videohelp.com/tools/MKVtoolnixSimply name the subtitles and movie the same 'add' and 'mux' them

>>27284Wait, wait, I found the problemThe episode i downloaded has the start titles cut-out so it messed up the timing. Thanks for the hard-work people
it only seemed to be dialogue from whats already happened and the intro, it really isn't needed.
so, we have scripts for 26 and nox special (ep 27?)How do i convert them to subs? One is in .rtf the other .docDo i need to convert them to .ass somehow and does this involve setting timings?
Use a subtitle editor so u can set the timing and itll save to a .ass/.sub/.srt from that program.
>>27272>>27279It's a matter of anamorphic stuff and aspect ratio. The files from France 3 basically play @ 720x576, and I have to cheat a little during encoding so that they finally play @ 1024x576 (that is "widescreen" aspect ratio).Dunno which soft you use, maybe look for anamorphic options to tweak.Printscreen should work too if you use your player in windowed mode (not full screen). Paste your capture into Paint; and use it to select only what you need -that is to say the picture of the video-.The picture attached to this post was taken using Windows Media player, Printscreen and Paint.
Out of curiosity has anyone actually started making the subs for ep 26 or Nox special?
This kinda leaves a lot of things open for a season 2, doesn't it? Will a new season happen, or is this it?
>>27285Advice to our subber friends : the little summary before the real intro should be removed from each episode. It was added by France 3 because it has been so long since the last time they aired an episode, and was itended to help people catch up.But it is irrelevant outside of the context of "when they aired such or such episode"
>>2729152 episodes have been planned from the beginning. Ankama says there may be more seasons if the ratings and sales are good.
what can i say? I love you guys so much...And i hate Ankama beyond belief. For the spoiler-tastic trailer. For building it up so obviously. For killing my favorite character and making Eva cry. For... such a disappointment. I wanted a happy ending you ASSHOLES!...but ultimately, art is judged by the amount of emotions it evokes. By the ability of making you experience something new. In this case, the finale was beautiful. Worth every second of the 2-something months of wait. I cried
I'm not gonna be all "OMG SUBS" But this is to say.Thank you for everyone working to translate this in any way or shape you can.I love the series but I'm one of those linguisticly retarded folks who can only manage one language (barely)Again, much thanks for letting people all over the world enjoy the series. =)
>>27293That's good to know, for one, just because I'm one for continuity, I want to see if Yugo will uphold his promise to be Grufon's guardian, and he's capable of besides telling where places are as a map.And Goultard has to come in somewhere, now that he has undied and would be a waste to let his character assets appear only once.
>Been wanting to watch 25 for a forever and a half>Finally, subtitles>They don't work>try fucking everything to get it to work>Nothing works>Can't watch 25 because no subsWords can not express my sorrow right now
>>27298Did you download >>27271 and the episode from >>27215?

I've been waiting for ep26 subs so that I can watch the whole thing in one magnificent splat (P.S. reminder SPOILER TAGS PLOX I've been refreshing this page all day). My eternal thanks to everyone who's been working hard on this, and I just wish I didn't have what amounts to a typewriter with internet access so that I could actually contribute in some technical sense. As far as I know, the .ass file for ep25 is timed for the splotchy low-res raw and not the HD one, which might not make a difference, but I just wanted to check to be sure. Do the subs match up perfectly with the HD, or are there any distracting timing missteps?
>>27301I wrote out the .ass to the raws Ken provided. I haven't touched the lower res raws. There's just a lot of superfluous bullshit skipped, like the "Last time, on Wakfu!" recaps, the song, etc. So the subtitles don't come in until over a minute and a half in. when the actual episode starts.
>>27302Excellent! Downloading now.
>>27299Yes and yesWhy won't it workWHYYYYI am almost in tears hereI NEED MY WAKFU
>>27302The quality is like milion times beter though, that's why I'd like to have these versions, with the sumary removed. Also, it just occured t me that Episode 5 never got subbed with the proper VA. The only subbed one has the old horrible VAs.When everything is done with the end of the series (including ep.24 with better quality) , I'll upload a raw of ep.5 with proper VAs for our subbers ;)

Hows them subs coming lads?
So, just to check, is ep25 the only thing that has subs so far?
The .ass file doesn't sync properly with the episode so it doesn't turn out right after I mux it. Can someone just post a correctly muxed version?
Spoilers here, don't read if you haven't seen 25 for lack of subs.I don't think Grovy is down, Goultard came back from the dead because he was bored, and I think Grovy could possibly do it too. That and he's fucking awesome and Ankama wouldn't just kill him off for nothing
>>27318you're just in denial Goultard is the son of a God, Grovy isn't.And Ankama did not kill him for nothing, they killed him for crowning moment of awsome and heartbreaking Finale

Any idea how the subs are coming for 26? I was hoping to watch it before 12
>>27329Hey, just use the .rtf script. It's worth it>>27255Frenchy provided it here, Love you Frenchy.
I'm still confusedAre 25 and 26 available to watch with subs, or not?
>>27331I think 25 is, only if you have the capability to mix the .ass and .mkv files on your computer. I haven't seen one that's already subtitled as an .mkv, unless I missed something.
>>27329Well, I don't see anyone else doing it yet. I just got done working, so I'm going to start on 26 and Nox now.>>27332You should be able to just open the .ass in VLC or Mplayer as the raw is playing and it'll all work out. Nobody has to mux anything. My priorities are getting the subs timed for 26 and Nox. After that, I'll see what I can do for muxing or trimming or hardsubbing or whatever.
If a kind anon can create a softsubbed .mkv of 25 (with the subs and the video in one file) I would be eternally gratefulI cannot into computer
>>27333I have a semi-nonstandard OS. (Friggin' Ubuntu. It was free.) I'm not sure if my onboard media player will work like VLC. Any idea?
Um, VLC can be installed for just about any OS. That includes Ubuntu. Personally, I hate VLC. When I used Windows I used CCCP with Media Player Classic. But, I'm also a Ubuntu and if Totem-gstreamer ever gives me trouble (with *.ass files for example) I use SMPlayer.
HEY GUYS.>>26985>20 http://www.megaupload.com/?d=BBTDU4RN>21 http://www.megaupload.com/?d=8LJS5Q01 I can't get these two to play on megavideo. A little help, please?
>>27335mplayer can play them fine. Just name the .ass the same name as the .mkv (without the extension.... e.g. wakfu_25.ass and wakfu_25.mkv) or install and use mkvmerge (from the 'mkvtoolnix' package)don't know what the ubuntu package may pull out of mplayer, though... the mplayer from http://debian-multimedia.org/ may be more likely to work if the ubuntu-provided one doesn't. or just compile mplayer yourself.
well, despite reading all of the fucking spoilers you idiots posted here, i still cried. Why, Ankama? Why would you do such a thing?
>>27335Okay.Not to sound like a prick (hell, I was getting Linux-l33t flack myself before), but I've installed VLC on Ubuntu machines via nothing but command line and one of those system-settings menus. So I'm pretty damn certain you can get it to run on your compy. Here, read this:http://www.videolan.org/vlc/download-ubuntu.html
>>27340 Ep25 is already subbed, I don't see why it should still get spoilered. Should we still spoiler that Grovys master is Goultard, just in case you haven't seen it?
>>27338but... these are MP4 files??
Some people are still waiting for the 25 hardsub, and this is where they'd come looking for it. It's like checkout clerk giving you spoilers as he rings up a movie. I'm already spoiled just because I'm keeping an eye out for the 25 hardsub.
>>27342No. That's not a huge revelation. Something crucial about the fate of a character IS.
>>27344>hardsubsWhat year are we in? 2003? Hardsubs are a relic of the past. There is absolutely no reason to use them.
>>27346yep, there issome older DVD players have hard time playing "exotic" sub formats (.ass for example)some of them have fucked up fonts that cannot be changed
As someone waiting for the encoded sub, I agree that these spoilers are annoying because I too have been spoiled simply because of my waiting around here. I thought it would be safe because this is not the thread for episode discussion.>>27346Hardsubs are convenient for playing on hardware.
So...let me just get this straight. There's no hardsub of 25,26,Nox Special and Goultard Special, right??Just softsub(with adding the .ass in them...)
>>27343So replace everywhere I said .mkv with .mp4. But the guy I was responding to I thought was talking about ep 25... the 25 raw is a .mkv (at least, the one I have is)>>27347could use prerendered VOB-ish subs instead of hardsubs, can't you? Not that I've ever tried generating them.
>>27349I think that's right, except that I don't think there's any softsub for 26 or Nox yet, either. Just the transcript for now.
Hardsubs don't require any non-out-of-tbe-box software. I'm lazy, sue me.
is there a .ass for 26 yet?
See>>27129For Goultard Hardsub
>>27351you don't get it, do you?my hardware is all ok and fine, but, let's say I'll go visit my parents (they live in a diffrent state). They have that old DVD player, supporting mp4s, xvids and many other formats. I just burn those files on DVD with hardsubbed episodes and guess what? I can watch it on the TV. No problems with creating vDVD, nor thinking "did the names of the subtitle and movie files match?". Also - hardsubs are extremely useful when it comes to the people who "aren't familiar with movie players" such as those people wondering how they can use .ass format (for god's sake, google it, it's not that hard).
>>27359That's why I said VOB subs.... they work "everywhere", and are not hardsubs. I'm talking about the sub format that is on regular store-bought DVDs; if the player can't display subs from DVDs you buy, I would envision nontechnical people blaming the player.
I'm confused, is there a script for the 26th episode? If so can someone link me to it.
>>27360And what if I don't want vDVD? What if I want to use the same disc on the other computer? Then I should rip it off?

Just finished watching 25 and 26... ;_____________;
This .ass and .mhvkwhatever thing is a little too complicated for my simple brain. Is this something I'm going to have to overcome in order to watch the last two damn episodes or will it be made into an .mp4 format if I just have a little patience?I can find a way to use the other two if I have to
Good ending, but fuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuck, now I have to go back to the real world...
>>27399it will be made into a .mkv soon. I might just upload it before I go to bed.
why am i not having any trouble?
>>27399No. Step 1. Download and install KMP Player. It's free. Google it. (Alternately, VLC Player or Media Player Classic even. KMP handles MKVs beautifully though, better than VLC or MPC.)Step 2. Download raws from >>27215 and .ass files from >>27241 and >>27381.Step 3. Open the Episode 25 raw file with KMP Player, right click to get the menu and load the .ass file for Episode 25. I can use ass. files just fine, but I'm picky and prefer hardsubs on black bars. Easy on the eyes.
I finished nox special subs just watching to check all the timing its a .sub so anyone whos like to style it or change to .ass feel free too
I watched a bit and all seems ok, my first sub D: so timing may be milliseconds off :P but its watchablehttp://www.mediafire.com/download.php?zzqmzm2gdmo
The problem is the program :/ lol it was all timed and when i reload the file its all .000 in milliseconds.. :( still works though
>>27413Aww, ya beat me!Anyway, this is my .ass of the Nox special. Props to Frenchie for helping revise the script. And Ken for providing it in the first place, natch.http://www.mediafire.com/?w4lgxwgzt53http://www.megaupload.com/?d=UN9UFLLQ

At least, for me. Truthfully, I used to be a hardsub man, but the large difference in quality between the softsubs we've gotten at the end here and the hardsubbed AVIs for the beginning converted me.>>27399If you don't mind the quality being funky, I can look into muxing 'em together for you or hardsubbing it. I wanted to wait until I was done with the .ass's on the finale and Nox to try.

Frenchie just informed me of a typo that snuck it's way into my .ass of 25. So, old ones deleted, and reupload:http://www.mediafire.com/?kjxdmk2gmzdhttp://www.megaupload.com/?d=RZMFTF3E
Do we have an ETA on episode 26 softsubs?
Since most links are spread out on the thread, her's a little recap :Episode 25 HQ Raw : http://www.megaupload.com/?d=8XTIANOP.ass sub file : http://www.mediafire.com/?kjxdmk2gmzd / http://www.megaupload.com/?d=RZMFTF3EEpisode 26:HQ Raw : http://www.megaupload.com/?d=NJ1WSSHO.ass sub file : http://www.mediafire.com/?w5xoyjmzziw / http://www.megaupload.com/?d=4ODMOVNW Nox EpisodeHQ Raw : http://www.megaupload.com/?d=7YHFL325 .ass sub file : http://www.mediafire.com/?w4lgxwgzt53 / http://www.megaupload.com/?d=UN9UFLLQTo read the subs, name the .ass file the same as the corresponding .mkv file (minus the extension of course) and put them in the same folder. Most readers should play them. Also, take note that for episodes 25 and 26 , the subs only start after the opening credits. The "previously on wakfu" sequences should be ignored (and ideally deleted from the final versions, if possible)Have fun everyone while waiting for single-file subs and hardsubs.
what are the chances of someone going back and doing the entire series with uniform subs?or is that something we'd hav to wait for DVD's for?
Goultard: http://www.megaupload.com/?d=4NSI1DO725: http://www.megaupload.com/?d=ZN1L99Y9 (description is wrong, but episode is right)Here are the avi hardsubs for the Goultard Special and ep 25 (both with checksum). Subs are on black bars. Enjoy.
>>27431That would be so lovely. I have a feeling English subbed DVDs are still a long ways off.
>>27431I've thought about it for a while. On the translating side, I have to finish the Kabrok comic first. Then, redoing all the subs for consistency might be doable (+ fixing one or two little mistakes, or oddities, but overall, the existing ones are pretty good anyway).Consistency would be mostly about file format and subtitle formatting / fonts. Also, as I said earlier, Ep. 5 need to be subbed in its new version with proper VAs.
>>27435The main hope, for me, would be seeing consistent spelling/translating of pronouns. One episode uses Sadlygrove/Grovy, the next switches to the original Tristepin/Pinpin. I've seen at least 4 different spellings of Nox's pet. Numerous other inconsistencies are abound.I realize this is due to each translator having their own interpretation. Believe me, I'm not being ungrateful. But if we are talking about months before we see official English Wakfu DVDs, it would be great to have consistent subs. Less confusion when I show this off to my friends. :)
>>27359 There are about a billion apps that can convert mkvs/mp4s to regular DVDs. Use one of those if you have a crap old player. Convertxtodvd comes to mind.
>>27430Thanks very much for that consolidation, makes things much easier. To those that did the timing, many thanks indeed, as that tends to be the most time consuming part, and without having to do it I can release these much faster.I've just received the HD (yes, real HD) raws.Encoding has started, I intend to release a 720p as well as a 1080p Hardsub/Softsub version of the final three episodes.I'm told that the Nox Special is being uploaded at this time as well, and will be given the same treatment.Expect the file sizes to be slightly larger than normal (but I assure you, well worth it)
Well, because of all problems some of you seem to have playing subs, I've tried to make an ol' good DivX/MP3 .AVI hardsubbed encode. The quality is a little lesser than my h264 raws, but at a least it should play even on 10 years old computers. So, here's episode 26 english hardsubbed:http://www.megaupload.com/?d=1MA429RWNotes:- I've used >>27381 subs- I've removed the "previously in Wakfu" at the beginning- The subs are NOT on black bars.Tell me if you want such hardsubs for episode 25 and Nox.
>>27438The Nox Special will be usual TNT SD stream though.Unfortunately, France 4 doesn't broadcast any HD stream yet.
>>27432something is wrong with that link, I think its broken.
>>27442The link doesn't take me to megaupload.com, it just tries to download it and fails.
>>27447>>27448Huh? Strange... I'm giving it a try at the moment, and it seems to work well.Maybe try to flush your browser's cache and reload Plus4chan's page. Or type the link directly in your URL bar.Anybody else has problems?
>>27452Works fine for me.
>>27442Thanks for the hardsub.I think a lot of people will be very happy if you do such hardsubs for ep 25 and Nox.
>>27442one thing i'm wondering : is it possible to add a sequence at the end of such a file, but with a different quality setting. I'm thinking about adding the end credits with the hint at what happens to Nox that we will have in two weeks from the online stream. Sure, we won't have any improvement of quality on that sequence, but is it just possible to merge all that in one file without altering the quality of the episode too much ?
>>27442A hardsub with a file size larger than the raw? What sick joke is this?
>>27456Actually, it's not really a matter of "quality", but of matching encoding. You can easily append a video to another if they have been encoded the same way: same codec, frame rate, resolution, etc. And when I say "video", let's not forget the soundtrack which also has its own settings. That is to say: if you want to append the end credits you're talking about to my encode, you will have to:- either reencode both videos, mine and yours, the same way. It's somewhat easier, but long, and you may alter the quality of the whole thing.- or encode your video using settings that will match mine. And this can be really tricky, all the more if you're a casual encoder like me. I did have a hella hard time finding Caedo's setting when I did episode 23 V2 with end credits. That said, if you want to use one of my vids, I'll help as much as I can.So, to answer your question: yes you can, but it may not be especially easy...
>>27306What are these from? And can we have a link to it?
>>27457Well, h264 is somewhat more efficient at encoding than DivX . Also, I'm a casual encoder who doesn't know all the tricks to get a super encode in a mini-sized file. I'm just contributing the way I can.Whoever can do better may feel free to do so. It would spare me and my computer a lot of time of encode and upload...
>>27438Caedo; I don't know if you've started on ep. 26 already, but if it's not too late, there are 2 little modifications I would make :- At 6'29" maybe I would split "ouch !" from the rest of the sentence and print it one second sooner, when Yugo actually screams (up to you)- Typo fix at 7'37'' in Ruel's line, replace Now by Nox (those were my big monkey fingers on my tiny keyboard)>>27458you might consider yourself a casual, but I'm miles behind you anyway. I just asked if it was feasable, hoping that if the answer is "yes", maybe an encode wizard was among us and would do it.

Can anyone encode that to std size? Also, who muxed Goultard? I am looking for raw and softsubs to update DB. Or at least raw.
>>27486Thanks a lot! I just watched this EP 25, but I couldn't help but wonder if the script is gonna be redone before the HD version is uploaded? Some translations sound pretty weird. Also, is there a specific reason Razortime's "Destroy!" is never translated? I get the feeling most English watchers won't even know he said anything resembling an actual word without it getting subbed.
>>27492what line(s) bothers you ?
>>27492I thought he was just making a random electrical buzzing noise...
Wow now I kinda feel sorry for Nox that he found the Eliacube...nuts
>>26936that blurry thing there is Adamai.Fucker was there in the opening credits since the first episode.I remember noticing him when I first saw episode 1 & 2 on their site (which was higher resolution than this) I didn't know who that was or why was he laughing and since then, I forgot about him being there.Don't you guys like him better in his humanoid hat-wearing form? He looks like a negro kid in his dragon whelp form, also in his crackler form when he was fighting Nox.
>>27492he's not saying "detruire" he's just making an annoying buzzing noise way too many times. And even if he was saying destroy, its too intelligible to translate. Unless he's saying it backwards.. or warped
>>27493I can post all the ones that sound weird after I finish the other two episodes, is that okay?>>27498See for yourself if you don't believe me o_Ohttp://serie.wakfu.com/fr/adversaires/razortemps
>>27497I liked his The Thing impersonation
>>27499"Encore plus écervelé qu'un Iop, le Razortemps n'a qu'un mot à la bouche : « détruiiiiire »."I see ... but this is not supposed to be taken literally. "N'avoir qu'un mot à la bouche" (litt. "having only one word in your mouth") is not necessary 1st degree, but is also used in a figurative way, in french, to say that something is one's obsession, the only thing he is capable of thinking about. Considering his buzzing sound is everything but articulated speech, I'd go for the figurative interpretation. And no problem, watch the episodes, I'm still here for a few hours. You can also contact me on MSN >>27229
>>27501 Or in other words, it says "he only thing he knows is ... destruction".Could you guys post a screenshot of the delicious HD file you are working on?
>>27502
>>27503geez !What's the size of the files ?
I'm sure Ankama thought it was the right thing to do, but I pretty mad they killed off Sadlygrove, he was my favorite character. I wanted a happy ending, dammit! I love happy endings. It's not going to be the same without ol' Grovy :'(Well, we'll see how things evolve.
>>27504The transport streams weigh about 800-850 Megs each.Dunno how big will be Caedo's encode though...
The Eliacube seems a lot like The One Ring to me... promises power, hard to resist using, and you go mad using it.
>>27501just because it sounds like detruire doesn't mean its actual dialogue in the episode. It's a sound effect, translating it would be like subtitling Darth Vader every time he breathes "Huuu huuu huuuuuuuuu He will join us or die Huuuuuu master."(translate it once. in the top black bar like: "Did you know: Razortime says "detruiiiire" which means destroy in french".)If you translate every noise me makes it'll be twice as annoying... although I wonder what the fuck he's saying after 13:37 in Entre dans la legende, it sound like he's cursing!
>>27501Although on one occasion, Eva even says "Destroy THAT!" Such a rebuttal makes the most sense when he's been saying "Destroy, destroy..." all the time. Also, the noise he makes is always the exact same, and you can definitely hear it.
>>27508Actually, I wouldn't want it translated every single time either. I guess the first few time she says it when Nox activates him should suffice, and maybe the one before Eva shoots at him.
>>27509"Tien detruis moi ca!"I just saw that part.
MAN, does ankama have plans on airing a next season? It was such an ending...
>>27510I wouldn't translate it at all. Even when I'm expecting a specific word and I "want" to hear it, there is no way he is saying anything articulated, let alone "détruire".Now, one could take his web-character sheet literally, arguing that he's saying "détruire" in robotic language. However, this information is not given to someone simply watching the show in its native language. The objective of subs is to take what's said to the audience in the native language and make it understandable to another audience in an other language. It has never been to educate the audience about trivia that was gathered from external sources. It's like you make some subtitles for Star Wars and on everything that appears on the screen, you add some articles from the extended universe.About the "destroy that" from Eva, it can be understood in two ways. 1) She's talking to her arrow, as a way to hype herself in believing she will destroy the robot. 2) she's talking to the robot, echoing the fact that her previous (but weaker) shot at it was nullified and did no damages. Both of these work without putting a meaning in the buzzing sounds from the dreadnought
>>27512They do. A 26 episodes second season is on schedule; but no ETA so far...
I don't care howI don't care if it's total Deus Ex MachinaBut this would be me if Sadlygrove came back
Great job on getting these last episodes subbed, but one thing that kinda got on my nerves was excessive use of the term "owned" in the subs. When you see phrases like "They just got owned." repeatedly it makes it seem more like "unprofessional" internet slang and kinda ruins the immersion a bit. Other than that, it was awesome!
>>27516Trust me, me and the dude that made the .ass files spent two nights on MSN discussing such tiny semantic details. You may also notice the overabundance of "it's impossible" or variants. But even after looking through different approaches, different wordings/rephrasing, looking at the intended meaning rather than direct word to word translations, sometimes there's no better fitting translation.Sometimes languages don't have matching words on a 1:1 ratio. What can feel fluid in one language might end up redundat in another. Doesn't mean the translation is wrong though. There are lots of things we weren't satisfied with, but had to deal with it anyway for lack of a better alternative.By no mean Am I saying my verison cannot be improved, I know it can. That was just to say that what bothers you is not due to negligence or lazy translating.
So did the Eliatropes make the Eliacube for a reason....?Enlighten me

Hey guys. Late to the party, sorry.I downloaded the hardsubbed files for now, looking good ^^There ARE a few stylistic mishaps though. If Frenchy wants, I can help him polish the script a bit.
>>27522I'm still open to suggestions while Caedo hasn't released the finals subs. Keep in mind though that lots of the texts have already been heavily discussed.( MSN : frenchyanon@gmail.com )

Why is episode 26 temporarily unavailable :(
>>27530Anakama prolly had it taken down
>>27531just Megaupload dicking around. Just retry every couple of minutes, it wil work eventually
>>27516>When you see phrases like "They just got owned." repeatedly it makes it seem more like "unprofessional" internet slang and kinda ruins the immersion a bit.Unfortunately, that's not just internet slang anymore. You can say that to the average person and they'll know what you mean, and it sees non-ironic and iron use in fiction fairly regularly. This is a show based on an MMO. It's fitting.
Did you notice that always when Nox used his "Stop" spell, someone broke it in an amok and then Nox ALWAYS said "That is impossible!" ^^
>>27532Yeah it's working for me now. Actually started working right after I posted that, lol.
>>27533 This is a show based on an MMO. It's fitting. The thing is, even if this show is based on a MMO, it's so well done as a fantasy show by itself that a person wouldn't know that it's based on a MMO unless they were told it is. So, using "owned" in such a way in a fantasy world setting including this one looks lame.
>>27538Than why didn't you just say so? I'm fine with it if it's by the company since it is based on a MMORPG that they themselves made giving me no right to object.
>>27538That's just crap, really. There are at least five words that describe "owned" in the context it happened in the episode. I REALLY doubt they'd use an obvious slang expression that cannot be translated to "defeated" in EVERY case.Using owned is just a really lazy translation.
>>27538Seriously, defeated works every time they say "owned", and it works a lot better and doesn't even look half as stupid.
Why is the .avi for episode 26 400MB??? I'm only 2/3 done downloading it and it's already twice the size of all of the other hardsubs.
Anybody gonna post a download link for the opening single? I'd kill to have that song in all of it's longness.

>>27516>>27539>>27540>>27541One think you should learn (thought it was obvious) is that the main idea of translating something is keeping the same meaning. Yeah, you found 5 synonyms for a word, you're super hardcore. Problem is : if they use an expression in the original, you're supposed to use the equivalent in the translated version, and not "varying because it's fun and pretty". Wether what they say pleases you or not is moot. Seeing slangs in a sub makes you uncomfortable? Deal with it! Slangs and rude words exist in other languages too, and when they use them in the original, I see no reason to use a politically correct equivalent just because you're a tight assed puritan. Also, you think you can do better? By all means, DO IT! Stop "saying" everyone is a moron and "prove it" by doing a better job. That will also spare some efforts to lots of people, win-win scenario.
On an unrelated note.@Caedo. I don't know if it's too late or not, but we had a final session of polish for the scripts from ep 25,26 and Nox. Either me or that anon that provided the .ass files will send you a modified version of these today (and that will be the last revision, don't worry ^^ )
>>27562People like you are why fansubs have gone to hell. You insist on keeping the "original meaning" intact instead of making it palatable for the audience. It's gotten to the point where fansub translators leave things half-translated because they feel translating it loses the original meaning. My favorite example is the One Piece subs that leave "Nakama" as-is.
>>27564You do realize there's a good reason for that, right? There's no translation for 'Nakama' into English. We simply don't have an equivalent word. And I fail to see how keeping the original wording through a translation is the same as leaving things untranslated. I don't see french words everywhere, do you? And in case you hadn't noticed, they've been using the official translations of names and animals. So either fuck off, stop complaining, or do better.
>>27565With your line of reasoning, talking with you would be like talking to a brick wall.
>>27566speaking of brick wall ...I mentioned 2 times today that I could be joined on MSN at any time. I mentioned that I was opened to suggestions and discussions. Some dudes came to see me and we argued for several hours on some parts of the subs, we explained our points of views and our choices, some lines remained as is, some of them got modified and polished. Then there was also a guy who raged for several posts, bragged he could do 5 times better while playing chess, watching TV and solving quantic equations all at once, but in the end, this genius never granted us with his infinite wisdom, be it on the board or via the door I left opened all night long. You see, of these two kind of people, one is utterly useless, have a wild guess.
>>27567I gave up on trying to correct fansub translators long ago because I learned that fansub translators are not people that can be reasoned with. They think their translation is correct and anyone that tries to tell them otherwise is wrong.
>>27568You did not put up a correction. You said you had five alternatives, but the remainder of your posts were the equivalent of "i can do better". Let's see those lines you wrote that are, ahem, better. Majority decides. You get proven wrong every single post. frenchy gave his MSN for a direct approach and still you think he is lording over everything. And what the fuck makes you a translation expert? Being able to point out flaws? Have you considered fucking off? Or doing your own shit? Serious question. You don't like it? Put up or shut up. The level of thickness makes me suspect a troll.
OH MY GOD THE WANK.My $0.02: If a fantasy show like Wakfu shouldn't have phrases like "owned" then how do you feel about "cool" that's strewn about in almost every episode? I don't remember Frodo ever calling something "cool". >_>
>>27568You're doing the exact same shit, except you're too much of a coward to try and do better.Step up or piss off, kid.
>>27568>lol generalization to avoid justifying the flaws in your reasoning.Assuming there is was decline in fansubs (I doubt it is the case), it could only be because of people like you. If it was caused by self-entitled stubborn subbers, then all you would have to do is find someone else, less full of himself, to do the job, then everyone would cater to him and forget the bad subbers. It would be like they never existed. The problem is (by your sayings) you can't find enough subbers in the first place, and that's not because few people can speak two languages. It's mostly because they give up (or don't even feel like starting) when people like you are vomiting their rage.Once again, either do better yourself / help in a constructive way / shut up. There's no 4th choice.
>>27570Yugo even says "Super Cool"
>>27569You're mistaking me for someone else. I am not that person. I have not made any attempts to correct because as I said, I gave up. As for what experience I have with translating, one of the roles I play as a fansubber is translation editor but nothing I've done so far is of French.
>>27573It appears you've been away from the fansubbing scene for awhile. Here is a fun series of videos on the current state of affairs on fansubs.http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=IUYlqLlbix0http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=yoJ_BWQ9Kowhttp://www.youtube.com/watch?v=PFu9lh37X34http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=E8oYz1dP0-khttp://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ED3HAEjKUl0
>>27562Wow, Mr. High and Mighty. Explain to me how owned is different from defeated? Is English your native language? Apparently not. So maybe you should shut up when someone tells you that there's a better alternative to "owned", which is exactly what the other anon said, DEFEATED. There is no goddamn French word for owned that does not mean defeated at the very same time, because owned means defeated. And if you want something else than defeated, try Humiliated, that fits the bill just as well.Fansubbing, hell translating in general isn't about translating shit literally, it's about conveying the meaning and making them understandable and fit a style. Cool is fine, because they say the exact thing. But owned? In a situation like THAT? Your world is crumbling to pieces, would YOU say "Oh shi I got owned!"? No you wouldn't. It's all about being reasonable and sensible to the language you're translating into. But I can tell you hate constructive criticism from the attitude you give the other guys.
>>27577So even if the characters used a slang word that meant owned in English, you'd rather have the more direct defeated, losing some of the whimsy/humor Ankama injected into the episode(s)?Alright wow. Go make your own translation if it's that important to you.
>>27577Also cause I forgot about the Nakama retardedness, Nakama has an official translation. Weird for an untranslatable word, huh?Nakama means colleague, compatriot or comrade. In One Piece's case, everytime Luffy says Nakama, he means his CREW.See how easy it is, to properly translate a word that has "lol no equivalent in english"? The main job of a translator is to make something he translates fit with his own language, mesh it in, if he has to change jokes to jokes that are easier to get for his audience? That's his job. Man, sure is kisamayatsu in this topic right now.
>>27577ALSO.>Your world is crumbling to pieces, would YOU say "Oh shi I got owned!"? No you wouldn't.And yet somehow Nox and Yugo found the time to discuss the contents of Eliatrope hats during the climactic battle.
>>27578See you're the reason why so many fansubbers look like arrogant fuckwits. Someone complains, and offers constructive criticism and you fire back with "loldoitbetturrr". If the word is such a slangy word that directly MEANS owned, why not back it up? Give me the word, give me a dictionary definition or an online translation, and THEN we'll talk.
>>27577u mad?
>>27582No, just not Takenoko there.
http://tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pmwiki.php/Main/ptitlecl8xukzuauw1?from=Main.LetsSeeYOUDoBetter
>>27581I'm not even a fansubber. My point though is that it's one thing to politely criticize and debate. It's entirely another to tell somebody who volunteered their free time to do something like this that they're lazy, arrogant and stupid. Frenchy offered to take the translation discussion to MSN multiple times if people really took issue with it). And yet apparently nobody here has done so. They'd rather bitch on +4chan about why they didn't like a free service. You clearly aren't interested in working collaboratively with people even though certain aspects of the translation bother you. In that case, your choice should be clear. Realize that somebody devoted their time to provide this when they weren't obligated to and accept that certain parts of the translation aren't quite what how you would have interpreted things, or take time to create your own script that meets your satisfaction. It's just rude to say somebody's doing a bad job and then refuse to help them improve. Insulting does not count as helping to improve a script.
>>27585Are you BLIND?People offered the guy their criticism and he shot each and everyone down with telling them "there is no other word to translate it to, owned is the only way", and that IS bullshit.Someone can only effectively offer constructive criticism, if the one receiving is is constructive and accepting as well. He hasn't shown to be.And don't even start with "it's free, they're doing it in their own free time", that's just so retarded, and almost as bad as "well you can't do better". And just so you know, I'm a subber too. On other shows you likely wouldn't care for, but if someone tells me I slang shit up too much, I'll look into it, and look into his alternatives.Someone still has to put forth proof that the word undoubtedly and definitely means owned, right now it's the same as Nakama.tl;dr: If he hadn't acted so arrogantly towards the people who had beef with the word, no names would ever have been called.
>Is English your native language? Apparently notAre you a wizard ? how did you figure that ? ... oh, right, it's not like it's written on my namefag and I've never hidden I was french since I started subbing 6 months ago ...> There is no goddamn French word for owned that does not mean defeated at the very same timeThis is where your point falls into pieces on several levels.First, it proves you poor knowledges of the French language.Second, You say it yourself "owned" and "defeated" are synonyms and boths have their respective french equivalent, so why wouldn't "owned" work if it means the same thing ?Third, Synonyms have their limits. If we have wo different words, it's because there is a stage where one fits a situation more than the other, and I must inform you that there IS in fact enough difference between the two so that uning one over the other IS relevant. Just because you can't tell the difference doesn't mean other people cant'. Also, to be honest, you wouldn't make such a fuss if it didn't make a difference to you too. I don't even need to prove you wrong, you're doing it yourself.Fourth, you also said it, you have to keep the message and meaning as intact as possible. Someone using a slang as "owned" rather than a more formal "defeated" has reasons to do so. This choice is also part of the meessage. And I must inform you that in the french version, they DO use the equivalent of "owned" and not the equivalent of "defeated", and it DOES make sense when used by people in their situation. In fact, using a synonim would be the translation mistake, with loss or deformation of the message, not the other way around. You fail, period.
>>27587In short, you insist on translating it as literally as possible no matter what. It looks like this discussion is over because Frenchy has shown himself to be nothing more than a brick wall.
>People offered the guy their criticismno, they raged right from the beginning>If he hadn't acted so arrogantly towards the people who had beef with the wordIf the people hadn't raged and been themselves arrogant in the first place, and instead took the offer I made to talk about it between civilized people, no name would ever have been called
>>27586>People offered the guy their criticism and he shot each and everyone downok i lol'd>And don't even start with "it's free, they're doing it in their own free time"Makes perfect sense to me. Someone does a service, you expect what you pay for. You pay zero dollars, YOU GET NOTHING>I'm a subber too. On other shows you likely wouldn't care for, but if someone tells me I slang shit up too much, I'll look into it, and look into his alternatives.ok i almost pissed myself laughing. High horse much?
I'm the one who posted >>27516 that started this nonsense. I don't know French myself, but I was a professional Chinese translator for years. Was the word itself really the equivalent of the internet slang "owned"? If so, no problem. I'm just a little personally biased against internet slang in translations, so sorry if they really used French internet slang in the show.Honestly it was just a minor issue with me and more of a pet peeve than anything, I don't agree with the anons that have pretty much attacked Frenchy for using the word.On "nakama", there is no reason to leave it untranslated because while there is no one "definitive" translation, there are many words that can be situational analogues like shipmate, comrade, buddy, true friends, etc.
>>27588Actually, the correct term is "stuffed shirt". Look it up in the dictionary if you don't know what it means.
>>27588In short, you refuse (or are not mentally able) to make a difference between straight litteral google translation, and a translation as close as possible from the original when the choice of the words among many possible synonyms is relevant to the meaning of the message
>>27590>Someone does a service, you expect what you pay for. You pay zero dollars, YOU GET NOTHING So, you're saying we have no right to complain when a sub is all but unreadable simply because it's free?
finally caught up to the finale god fucking damnit all i will wait till the end of time for season 2
>>27593That's not a fair argument. Calling a sub literal simply means that it's a literal translation. It doesn't have to be babelfish quality.
>>27591> Was the word itself really the equivalent of the internet slang "owned"?As I've said it several times, YES.The expression was "on s'est fait avoir". It is a colloquial version of "on s'est fait possèder" which is more formal, even a bit old french, but otherwise means exactly th same thing."Possèder" and "avoir" both carry the double notion of owning an object and owning (fooling/beating) someone ... just like the verb "to own" in english. The only difference is that French has a second word for formal speech, but this is irrelevant here. Regarding all other aspects, "avoir" and "own" both have the same initial meaning and the same derived colloquial use. They mean the same thingS in the same contextSSo when I say this is the direct translation, I'm not speaking of google translation, I'm speaking of meaning, context and underlined implications. Happy now ?.
Could someone load the Nox Special onto Mediafire or (urg) Rapidshare? Megaupload has some malware-spreading popups.
>>27594>So, you're saying we have no right to complain when a sub is all but unreadable simply because it's free?no he (we, in fact) is (are) saying that you should make the difference between constructive criticism and blatant raging. You have indeed no rights over the second.
>>27600Actually, i was in fact saying, he has no RIGHT to eitherhe(we, they) have a privilige, and there is a difference
>>27600I'll say what I want about what I like or dislike. Stronger feelings on the subject means stronger opinions be it positive or negative and variables will add to or subtract from my credibility.
>>27588Pretty much. Wow.To prefer the use of a slang word that's pretty much only used by fifth graders over defeated really shows that you lack professionality Frency. There are people native to the English language telling you that it looks stupid in English that way. Stop being a prick about it and accept that there may be better ways than the one you chose.
I kinda agree with the others on this. Even though the French word had the connotation of possession, using the term "owned" in English looks really immature and unprofessional in the eyes of a native English speaker.
>>27604Biting the hand that feeds you is not a good idea, kid.
>>27605In a show where characters are CONSTANTLY using colloquialisms that seem out of place in a fantasy setting, you're really that bothered that Ankama used a word that meant owned?I don't get it. Both French and English speakers understand what owned means in the context of what Amalia said. Why should the French get one meaning (clear slang) and the English get an entirely different one? This isn't a case of "oh, they made a really weird pun, do we localize it or not?" If you think it sounds immature to use a phrase like owned, then ultimately you need to take it up with Anakama. They wrote the script. I don't like the idea of encouraging fansubbers to change the meaning of phrases unless it's a matter of localization issues.I'm going to laugh my head off when the official English DVDs come out.
Look guys, I disagree with the whole ganging up on frenchy and accusing him, but I will give this much to the accusers:Owned is a very overused and obnoxious phrase in english. No offense to the translators. If anything, I blame the hipster gamerz shitkickers for making it so sickeningly mainstream.Contextual referrence. Imagine there was a line in the show "we won that epic battle". You would never translate that as "that was epic for the win"
>>27608And we are going to be the ones laughing when we see that "owned" isn't what's used.
Ep 26: http://www.megaupload.com/?d=I7FS0I84Nox: http://www.megaupload.com/?d=L6M5TFCYHere are the avi hardsubs for ep 26 and the Nox special (with checksum). Subs are on black bars. Enjoy.
>>27608actually, i would really like to see how they translate some of this stuff.Maybe Yugo will make me go sick to my stomach with "SUPER COOL" all the time
>>27608Yeah, laugh your ass off when you won't find owned there. Because professional translators have enough grip on the English language to see that it's inappropriate. If Ankama uses it in French, it likely isn't as overused and abused and CHILDISH as it is in English, just like Ginger described.Using owned in this only means he's a poor grip on English slang, and when use of it is appropriate.
>>27611I guess I never said it before, but I should - thank you for making these, it's my favourite release form.
At least it's not as disastrous as MASS NAKED CHILD EVENTS.Also, what happens to Rubi now?
>>27604 Um... Hello? These kids ARE 12 to 15 years old...Also, is everybody here serious (mainly the trolls)? Arguing over ONE stupid word? I really hate people like that. So, next time watch it either without the subs (cause you are such an awesome translator able to point out every mistake), or just hide the word "owned" with your finger and loudly say "NA NA NA IT SAYS DEFEATED" or "NA NA NA HUMILIATED"...
Wow, you're an idiot.
So basically Ruel was useless for the last couple of episodes. Missed opportunity, I say. Especially considering his GIGA DRILL
>>27616Just wait for the US version that won't have a hint of "owned" in the translation. I guess you can cover up the official subs and keep chanting owned like your 12 year old friends do.Jesus, the Internet turns full retard in summer.
>>27619What the hell, US version? That will SUCK... Just like any Japan Anime dubbed to english would. Also, I think you're the idiot here. By 12-15 year old kids I meant the heroes in Wakfu, not people around here... lol.
>>27598Uh, no real criticism here, but just wondering: Weren't you arguing that the French equivalent is equally slang-worthy? You've proven that the connection of avoir to own is there, but that doesn't change the fact that "owned" is more obnoxious and kiddy.Did you consider the translation as "we've been had"? That would work in both cases, have the same connection and imply the same thing.
It's amazing how many of you have e-degrees in English all of a sudden.>>27577>Is English your native language? Apparently not.Que impotent man in a brothel, eh?I've a trained morphological and syntactic view of language that'll make you wish you had an excuse for the mistakes you're already making. Step up or fuck off.Yes, that's appeal to authority. No, it doesn't make you any less of a chump. Step up or fuck off.>>27604>There are people native to the English language telling you that it looks stupid in English that way. There are also people better versed in English than any of you pseudointellectual pricks who happen to agree with him. However, we don't do it with a great show of eunuch fury, so you'll forgive us for appearing to be the minority here.
Are you fucks for serious? You have nothing better to do with you time than bitch at some one who is doing you a favor because they used the word 'owned'?That's like, /b/ level stupidity
>>27621So ... your point is "because we weren't able to find an absolutely perfect and flawless matching translation, in both meaning and tone, it is then okay to pick ANYTHING more or less related, just because it is pleasing to our ears" ?That's not how it work. If no perfect match can be found, the "closest" match prevails. Yes, "getting owned" might be a little bit more childish than "se faire avoir", yet, there is an even bigger difference in tone with anything that was suggested on this board up to now. Also, those who broght the "you'll see when they make the official version" are just implying that translating anything implies ther is just one and only correct version possible, and anything else is downright wrong. That's just not how translating works either. Everything is just in shades of gray with things that fits better than others, which also implies at least a part of subjectivity. Also, may I remind you a few things about these subs ?No one ever claimed legitimacy, nor exclusivity on this work. These are not THE one and only official subs ever. Anyone can make his own, including picking our version and changing a few words according to his preferences, because as you may have forgotten, there is no copyrights on our translation. (there are on Ankama's original script but that's another story). Hell, all it takes is opening a file in notepad and changing a few words. We never signed any contract or took any engagement with anyone regarding quality, accuracy, delays or whatever. We try to do our best, but we are at no point supposed to reach any arbitrary standard. So no one is in a position to claim any rights on the choices made in this work. Don't like it ? don't agree with some of the choices ? Well, just pass then, no big deal! That's just one amateur-quality version of the subs, with its qualities and flaws, among many possible versions . No one here ows anything to anyone, in boths ways.Anyone can think whatever he/she wants from these subs as long as he/she keeps it for him/her.Anyone can expose and discuss his opinion as long as he/she does it in a civilized and respectful manner, and accepts that some people may disagree with him/her.Anyone can suggest some modifications under the exact same conditions as the previous point. Some people here think that one choice of word could be better ? I'm fine with it. At the same time, me and an other buch of people think that my version, though admittedly not perfect, is closest to the original than anything that was suggested so far. Guess what ? I'll keep my version and do it for the people who think like me, while I invite people that think otherwise to do the same for those who think like them, and everyone will be happy with his own custom subs that match their preferences. (and I'm saying this without agressivity or irony, I really mean it)Overall, this conversation is getting ridiculous. Some people are getting butthurt over a slight semantic variation, while in the 24 previous episodes (yes that might include those done by me) there are blatant errors, or approximations, even sometimes some translation that mean the exact opposite of the original (in ep 17 for instance) and nobody ever complained about that. Just try to get consistent dudes, and complain about the bigger mistakes first.
Off-model=death : reloaded
The dramu here is reaching ED-worthy levels, despite +4c being a rather civil place in general. Oh well, proof that the Internet Hate Machine lives on, despite being defeated and falling apart at the end of ep 26.Holy shit you guys. I bet you are just as angry at the group that subs FMA:B for including "You mad?" and "Feels good, man." in their subs. If you don't like it, release your own subs or don't watch it, your delicious tears will do very little to actually change anything.Of course, most volunteer-based projects (both IRL and OL) end up having to face issues like this, and there are various ways this can turn out. Which will you choose? Tune in next time!
>>27626Except THAT was never intended to make people angry.
>>27627Anyone who puts chanspeak in a sub deserves to be shivved, no excepts. I count "Owned" as within tolerances. There's so much gaming shit in Wakfu as is I hardly consider it shattering immersion or anything. Debate has gone on waaaaaay too much.
When things get popular, the know-it-all teenagers and entitling preteens start coming in and ruining it for everyone else.
>>27630Almost everyone thought "dem buns" was a funny wink though it had no reason to be there whatsoever, from the original dub. Also Yugo saying "woah super! " all the time definitely helps the immersion in a serious medieval setting... /sarcasmThis show is supposed to have some form of intended anachronisms and codes that make the setting unique and fun. This is not serious business.
You all have filled up way too much of this thread with pointless bitching about the use of one fucking word. Stop this nonsense. (Polite sage for nothing to contribute.)
Gahhate DDL wish there was a torrent but beggers cant be choosersdownload keeps failing because my connections rubbish and sooner or later megavideo is going to stop me from downloading anymore because of limit -_-
So what will we do until Season 2 comes out?Just.... hang around?
>>27635 Just... hang around. And sub mini wakfu! :D
>>27611Is it just me, or are all wakfu related files "temporarily unavailable" through mega upload?
Okay there has to be a second season because Ogrest? also who/what is Jarvis? and what about Yugo finding out about what the Cube is for? gah also does it really end at grovys statue? there was no end credits or anything?
Make some fan art to fill the months!I did D: .....
Everyone seems to be a little edgy that the larger part series is over, for now (hopefully), and need something to blame.Thank you to everyone involved for bringing this to the light of myself and the Internet. Kudos. See you in a year or 2.Peace.
>>27632>Almost everyone thought "dem buns" was a funny wink though it had no reason to be there whatsoever, from the original dub.Yeah. It was funny and actually fit the mood possibly making it better than the original. It's no different than silly lines like Kefka's "You son of a submariner! You'll pay for this!"
What happened to those HD subs?
Well, until new episodes start coming out how about finding the Wakfu ost!
so the show is over and I feel badwhats next?
>>27647Waiting months upon months for the new season starts. And then, waiting months for those episodes to come out.Watching Wakfu is only half the battle, the other half is waiting.WaitingAlways waiting.

Really, I'm happy to understand what the hell happened in the last episodes, I don't care about the use of one word, damn. Thanks to Caedo, Ryuengoky (i wont scroll down to correct the spelling, but we all got know that is you), Frenchy Anon, and all the others who contributed, IN A NOT CHEAP CRITICAL WAY. You guys are the best.Now...i think Nox will make a comeback in the next season... at least as a neutral dude...or he will kill himself, i mean....he was crazy, now he is just...lost...and old. Okay guys, here are the last (hopefully) revisions of the .ass files, with minor tweakings.25 : http://www.mediafire.com/?ncnkdkzymim26 : http://www.mediafire.com/?mnyorttzk2r27 : http://www.mediafire.com/?2zx2j2mhtigAbout the "owned" drama, here's what I've done. After speaking about it with some dudes, we agreed that it fitted the King's line, mostly because he turns it into a sadida-esque slang expression (owned like begonias) that is supposed to look funny/out of place. We change Amalia's line, however, with "we were tricked". That's also why I didn't liked "were defeated" because it implied a notion of victory/defeat, whereas the true meaning is more on the line of "tricked/made to look like fools. The battle was aborted, there is no victory/defeat at this point. If however you still can't stand this, you can edit the .ass file, the timing of this line is :Dialogue: 0,0:06:43.22,0:06:45.63
...and here's the... amvIt's size is massive but the quality is beautiful. Enjoy. Spoiler is real. Don't click if you didn't watch 26. It's how the song makes me feel. I love it so much...http://www.mediafire.com/?kxteabdk2im
Can someone help me screenshot from the video? MPC keeps giving an error message:Get currentimage failed, HR = 80004001
>>27672thanks for the theme songsDoes any one have any ideas on where to find the noxs second themeim talking about the one that plays at the end of nox special and towards the end of episode 26 also
>>27678not in the slightest. This is the only soundtrack for sale. There are files of the wakfu-game soundtrack, from patch 0.1 but they are completely irrelevant to the show.
>>27678Now that the 1st season is over, we can hope for another soundtrack CD with more theme-songs from the episodes themeselves.I agree that Nox's second theme song should be on it, it's epic.

Season 1 is coming out on Blu-ray right? If I live in Sweden, can I buy it (via internet) in French with english subs?
>>27706right now we should be waiting for translated Black Raven , there's nothing else we can do.
okay, I think the ending to wakfu literally blew my mindI've had a killer fucking headache since I've seen it.
I wonder if the Season 2 opening credits will still have Grovy in them
Can someone get the untranslated Black Raven !?I will do the rest...
I'm guessing right now, if Yugo hadn't made hard boiled egg of him yet, Baby Ragran will be a key party member.
>>27015I also want to see a blu-ray release but foreign cartoons are rarely released on blu-ray.
>>27714Wasn't the Blu-Ray confirmed?
>>27715A collector edition including the whole serie is supposed to be released on DVD and BlueRay by the end of the year.
Technically, they didn't confirm the blueray, however Tot said the DVD format wasn't making the episodes justice in their production format. Therefore, he will do everything that's possible to get a blueray edition, even if it's restricted to a very limited edition.About the english subtitles, be it DVD or Blueray, they haven't said anything yet, but we can assume the series needs to be aired on an english channel first (marketing logic)Working on resubbing ep5 with the new VAs now. might finish the Black Raven afterwards.
>>27686you are awesome
>>27688This ;_;
Bitch betta have mah Wakfu
>About the english subtitles, be it DVD or Blueray, they haven't said anything yet, but we can assume the series needs to be aired on an english channel first (marketing logic)By the way, the first part of the serie that has been released on DVD this month contains only French subtitles.

>>27725Thanks. I'll include that link in the email to my sister.
>>27704Let me guess, some time in the fall?God damn, I can't wait that long.
So... do you guys think Sadlygrove is ever coming back?
>>27730In a sense.
>>27730Well, the way I figured... So the tissolving into light, that was him being collected by Iop, right? And what other gods collect strong warriors? The old Norse gods. And why did they do that? To have themselves a fuckhuege army of badasses for when shit gets real. For the norse gods, that would be ragnarök. For Iop? Well, what about...the season 2 finale?
>>27726I wish they'd release the full version of the beta song, the one that was later reworked for the Iop temple. That song was beautiful.
>>27686I can't download the song for some reason... clicking it just tries to open the file in-window, and right-clicking->save link as ends the download at 0 bytes. What the fuck? The instrumental version downloads just fine, too.
>>27686So wait, what exactly is the AMV? Does it contain more songs?
Resubbing of episode 5 is on the way.For those who don't need subs, here is a link to the raw, unsubbed version with the proper VAs. It also has a better polish and effects, a few frames more/less/swapped and minor dialogue changes.http://www.mediafire.com/?yb3ym1ijzq1Subs files should come soon.
is it can be Le Corbeau Noir tiem now?
>>27740Next on the list once Ep.05 is done
Am I missing something? Why is episode 5 being redone?
Because Ep. 3,4,5 were historically the first ones to be done, had different VAs and didn't have the same polish as the rest of the series, event by early episodes standrads.Ep 3 and 4 have been subbed in their new versions, but I realised that ep.5 only existed with subs in its old version. I'm fixing that.
Gosh I'm slow. Well, you're a hero to us all, man.
Je t'aime Frenchy Anon
>>27748j'adore Frenchy>>27737downloads fine for metry again in a moment. If not, give me your email and I will send it directlyAnd the video is just an AMV made by ankama. Zero new content. But it's very hi-def (hence 200mb for 4min) so i guess it's a good preview of what to expect from DVD's and blu-ray. Someone more tech savvy can tell you what the resolution there is.
>>27686I hate to be a bother, but I cannot seem to download the theme song. I have the clip and the Instrumental, but I would like the theme as well. Can someone put it on /rs/ or something?
>>27753...And the Clip I downloaded isn't working...
The AMV isn't working properly. When I try playing it in MPC there is video but no audio while when I load it in WMP there is audio but no video. MPC says it has no video while WMP says it has no video.
You guys just made it time out. Over 130 downloads after mentioned just on this board, wowhere, a temporary rapidshit. it WILL time out after 10 dl's, so try the mediafire first.Serious. >>27756the audio has a delay if you fast-forward. At least mine bugged as well when I paused it or skippedFucking quicktime format...
Ok, I loaded the AMV in MPC again and now it isn't working at all. It loads and then it simply doesn't play. When it attempt to play it immediately pauses.

A little question to those who have the single from the intro:Could you post the credits if ever they are written on the packaging (who's singing, who wrote the song, who are the musicians, etc ... ) ?Thanks
GuysGuys what ifIn season 2Grovy makes a DBZ style comeback, like Goku when Vegeta and Nappa were kicking ass and taking namesWould this be good or bad, in your opinion?
Hey does anyone know the song that plays on the credits of the Nox(imilien) special?
Hello? Thread? Are you alive?
>>27792Still breathing at least. ;-)
>>27789On one hand, I hate it when death is cheap. On the other hand, its Grovy we're talking about. Not sure if want, I guess.
>>27794well, he wanted to die. He is jealous of Amalia's "death" in veneneuse, of that guy in boufbowl, and even in Eva's dream he says he wants to die tragically... with her. I say his return would devalue the sacrifice. He may return briefly, like Kamina in 26 of TTGL. That makes sense to me.ahem. The credits are:Auteur/composeur: G HouzeInterpretes: S. Pintiaux, C. SzatapskiI hope that helps...
>>27795That still leaves Rubi's situation unanswered. Who's gonna wield him next? Why go through all the trouble of revealing of his form, get beaten, then rendered numero solo?
>>27799You know, Evangelyne has bursts of occasional anger. She might make a good guardian of Rubi. Maybe he even has a bow form...
>>27800I guess she won't "use her head" to tame Rubi though... lol

Rape? Nah!...On a second thought... Oh, well, France 3 would never agree anyway...
>>27804i like the equal treating of women and men in wakfu.

>>27799I thought that he died with Grovy. Grovy sustained that hit while he was in Rubi form, and his eye closes after Grovy dies.
Amalia at least stands on the 'right side' of the tentacles...
Why is it always "tentacle rape"? Why no tender lesbian tentacle love?
>>27814Yup! Tender lesbian love sounds better, even without tentacles...
This thread is pleasing me in more ways than one
Consensual tentacle sex is the best tentacle sex
>>27817Well, just keeping the thread alive... ;-P
So does Yugo and Amalia have a thing for each other or whatI kind of get that vibe sometimes
>>27820it's impliedsee>>26744
Have a wild guess
>>27807>>27808It's funny how bondage can be in a show and still be considered family friendly. Bonus points if it involves tentacles.
Another thing about Eva is that she gets kidnapped/captured more than any of the other girls. She really is popular.
>>27821That not an implicationThat's an outright statement if you ask meBut maybe I'm just wearing my Happyendinggoggles too tight
>>27823Don't forget the gore and implied rape
>>27826Gore? There wasn't a drop of blood in Wakfu. >>27825Well they seem to be a canon couple, but the show didn't spend so much time reminding us. Yugo definitely feels for Amalia, but what he feels (being 12) is open to interpretation.I would really like to see them hook up, in season two
>>27827I recall seeing some pretty violent stuff
>>27828Probably the Goultard special episode. It was some experimental thing they made before the series to prove their worth in font of fund raisers. It was also not meant to be aired on TV so they could do whatever they wanted with no restriction on the content.
>>27786Bit late, but you deserve it.
>>27802>>27804>>27807>>27808>>27809>>27810I like where this thread is headed...
>>27790I am also deeply interested in an answer to this question.
I think that grovy's comeback would be quite a cliche...they should do it in the 3 season, and it should be like Goultard..."let me open this... OMGROVY!". It's sad to have the iop-brain out of the series but...he was awesome, but not Jesus, do not ressurrect after some days... No religious discussion after what I said ok? Sorry about anything, I didn't intended to be abusive.
Are there .mkv's for all of the episodes somewhere, or a torrent with all the raws and softsubs or something? A whole bunch are missing from the net dot sk.
>>27837I downloaded all of it over the past week and could pick from hard or soft subs for all the the episode just by searching for Wakfu on /rs/.
>>27837I would like to get behind this idea. If we can get a torrent together, I will gladly seed it.Softsubs of 1-15 would be nice too.But in all honesty, I don't want to put any pressure on the sub team. You guys did nothing short of making my dream come true
>>27826Implied rape? When was this?
>>27850Well in the goultard special they mention that losing children is ok, as long as they don't lose their womenThat doesn't sound very consensual, if someone wants to keep you around just to make babies
Am I the only one ok with Grovy dying? When's the last time you saw any show where one of the main hero's actually dies for real? It shows that death is real and puts some value in staying alive and not blindly rushing in over your head.
>>27855It upset me. But I'm proud of him.
Truth be told, I was kinda expecting Nox to win, which he kinda did, but then he fucked it all up.
Honestly I didn't like Tristepin/Sadlygrove that much until episode 22. If he comes back it'll hurt the development he's had and as many has said...he wanted to die gloriously in battle saving EvangelyneI really want to see more of Nox in season 2 since he was my favorite character. It'll be interesting in how he has to cope with all the atrocities he committed (at least for now) being permanent. Is the Eliatrope "N" really responsible for the Eliacube being drained of power?
>>27860I hope it's a joke. A very bad joke. Can you imagine, killing 1000's of people, deforesting the world (all in the name of goodwill to your family, mind you, not malice) just to have some asshole make all your efforts for naught because he was bored?
http://www.megaupload.com/?d=R9MQPTIAThis is Wakfu - Les Gardiens music, EXTRACTED from the game, by me.(it's not a rip from youtube)It uses music from the show, except... it's kinda shitty quality, since Les Gardiens is a browser based flash game.Still, I hope some of you will like this.Peace.

>>27860This whole "eliatrope N made Nox's plan fail by draining all the wakfu" is pure /tg/ home-made speculations earlier this week. What you can tell from the different pieces of the puzzle scattered by Ankama : - Like other eliatropes (except Yugo) he is trapped in space and time on Emrub Island, but he is aware of it and wants to escape.- Nox's spel (which was dommed to fail whatsoever due to underestimating fuel consumption) causes rifts in space and time.- One of these appear in front of N and he uses it to get out of Emrub, ending up in the Dofus era.Period
>>27870then i have few question , how can he travel from dofus era to wakfu era?is is immortal like dragons?
>>27873no, it's a rift in space-time. Dofus is 1000 years before Wakfu. So it was a portal 1000 years in time.
>>27850Well what do you think those pirates were going to do with Eva, had they been able to capture her?

>>27904In complete agreement. It was once thing when the discussion thread was buried. Let's try to keep things separate, please.
SOOO....You think they'll add a new ally in the next season or stick with what they got?
>>27896 Maybe "Wrath of the Gods" and "return of Tristepin" tie together completely. The heroes go fuck with gods to see wtf happened with grovy, and eventually Iop himself will go "ok, fuck it, here's your iop-head".And considering the kind of shit that happened in the last few episodes, a war of the gods doesn't look so farfetched.
>>27886EVEN HIS FRIENDS DON'T FORCE THAT ISSUE
>>27910I do honestly wonder though. It will probably come up next season. The team will be split up and Yugo and Amalia will be together and she will ask "What's under the hat?"
>>27904Don't most people eat in the kitchen? I.E. where they cook?>>27911Two large, throbbing, veiny...pieces of hair.
Got .mkv's of 1-4, 6, 16-24, and Noximilien from /rs/. Had to discard 21, though, because for some reason the font is too small to read and I can't make it larger.I know 5 was being redone... anyone have .mkv's of 7-15, a legible 21, and/or 25-26?
>>27884Take the wiki with a HUGGE grain of salt. During the 3 days that have followed the airing of the finale, This page has been edited more than 70 times. I have seen a fex of these pages, plus some reports from other people from the french forums, and There have been at least 2 to 3 different and completely unrelated names for the so called 10 or so first episodes from seasons 2. These were huge wiki-trolls editing the page like wild faggots. Not that the current page can't be true, but fake names are very very likely.>>27886Eliatropes don't age on Emrub Island, it's part of the spell that locked them there. Yugo, however, has age normally up to now and I see no reason for it to stop.>>27873It's been 200 years between hm discovering the cube and the present action, which is very likely since Xelors and Enutrofs are the two races from this setting likely to age in the 3 digits (with several in the hundreds). Remember Nox discovered the cube a few months before Ogrest's Chaos, which mark the dofus ere to wakfu era transition
Why are there English VA names on Wakfu's Wikipedia page? Are they the placeholders from the dub?
Okay, the .ass for the new Ep 5!http://www.megaupload.com/?d=ID3I22XMhttp://www.mediafire.com/?jnrn2zmlgo5Using the new raw from here:>>27739So, uh, yeah.
>>27918Just as a reminder, this is ep.5 raw with the new voice acting (the regular ones from the rest of the series) and the softubs (.ass file) that match with it (there are a few minor changes from the initial dialogues). If Anyone feels like making it into softsubs + hardsubs ....also sorry for my spelling ( >>27915 ) it's 5:30 am here , I suck and I'm tired.
am i wrong or ankama will air ep 25 with credits today?
>>27926You're right.
>>27927watching it right now... quality seems to be better than the "ludo" version, and F3 's logo is less annoying than the one in the corner.
>>27935> quality seems to be better than the "ludo" versionNo, the resolution is lower than my raws or my latest hardsubs. But it's finally far better than Ankama's previous online episodes encodes. And at least there's no annoying big 'LuDo' logo.I'll make a 'v2' hardsubbed release from this raw.
How are those HD encodes coming along?
>>27937Caedo is probably working hard on them at the moment. Patience, my dear fellows...
So, here it is:Wakfu 25 English Hardsubbed v2:http://www.megaupload.com/?d=UNJHJES3- XviD/MP3 .AVI encode- Hardsubs. No black bars.- Using the latest subs released by our translation/subbing team.(>>27675)- End credits (even if there's not much to see anyway...)- Lower rez, but no damn annoying 'LuDo' logo.

>>27940kind of disturbing that they make a chibi story about the razortime especially after it kills a main characterbut yeah, theres some secret recipe again...
>>27905 There will be 4 monthly comics based on Wakfu characters starting sometime this summer. The four characters will be : Goultard (this one will also include the twelve gods),Kriss La Krass(Boufbowl action,I guess...),Remington(a shushu hunter who belongs to the same family tree as Smisse Mond) and Maskemane (a guy with three legendary masks that each give him special powers but also alters his personality). The last two will appear in season 2.Joris will get also get a montly title later on.The source for this is from an interview with Tot in Dofus mag # 15

>>27951>>27992Guys, I thought we got over this.Drama necromancy is really unneeded.
In Season 2I want to know more about the Eliatropes and their SUPER DUPER SCIENCE MAGIC like the EliacubeAlso, I want to know who the hell Joris isWhat do you want to see in Season 2, /co/?
I have a question:Frenchy, how is the translation for Le Corbeau Noir coming along? I have the time to put it together now.
>>28048Was just about to ask the same thing...
>>28027Joris is deus ex machina for getting rid of all of the enemies the heroes can't beat. He's also a complete asshole for showing up TWO MINUTES too late to save Tristepin and then has the gall to ask how's it goin'.Was anyone going to work on releasing the rest of the MKVs?
>>28027fecas , srams , mostly most of the classes which we barely see in the first season.
>>28027honestly?the original castadding some extra supplementary characters != switching characters for other classes to showcase more mmo garbagequasi-spoiler, wishful thinking
So, is the eliacube the BBEG of the whole series?
>>28123this is hilariously great pic!
>>28129Yet the question goes unanswered...Do we know what the eliacube even really is, aside from a middling explanation halfway through the season?
I wonder if this joke translates into French very well.
I lol'd out loud when I saw this part of the Goultard special. Overall, it was a lot more graphic and serious. I sorta wish the main series was more like that...Btw, if you say it doesn't make sense 'cuz it says "her", that's an English only thing. In French it could mean either "his" or "her".
>>28123This is ridiculously awesome.
>>28130definitely not. we know some of the things it can do, but presumably only yugo can determine what the actual purpose of the eliacube is.
>>28138notice where his hands are...:D
>>27915>Take the wiki with a HUGGE grain of salt.Oh trust me, we went through the same thing during the prolonged break between Avatar seasons 2 and 3. We had legions of kids swearing blind that Sokka was going to turn out to be an Earthbender in episode 1, and episode 8 was going to be called 'Prey of the Face Stealer'. "I KNOW CUZ WIKIPEDIA SED SO." God. Damn.Needless to say, do not trust anything until the episode actually airs.
>>28138>Btw, if you say it doesn't make sense 'cuz it says "her", that's an English only thing. In French it could mean either "his" or "her".In fact, it was neither initially, because it was an undefined plural "brooms" (and Yes, the phallic double entendre is definitely intended). The sentence was changed a little to make it rhyme.
>>28123have another i found on /co/by the way, it's pretty evident we're gonna be sitting around on our asses for several months before even the slightest hint of action from Ankama... how about trying our hand at some fandubbing? We can't be any worse than Dalek Nox and Canadian Grovy I would love to lend a hand.
>>28156Still nothing officially confirmed about season 2, but lots of speculations and "supposedly heard from someone working at the studio" pointing towards september. This would make sense since after the summer holidays is often when TV channels bring novelties on their programs.

On the link from the big list, the file is broken, and download stops at 4.4 Mb.Will work on the Black Raven comic today.

A shame what they did to Tristepin. I was hoping to see more Rubiform in action, ultimate meathead moments when planning and strategy fail.

>>28313>break inOH BOY OH BOY OH BOY>You tap on the glass, and the circular scratched-out part comes loose, tumbling to the carpeted floor below with a dulled thump. You reach in, being careful not to cut yourself on the sharp glass and unlock the latch, pulling the door open while keeping a careful eye on magnetic alarm sensors. You step in. To your left is a cafe, smell of cheese and baguettes permeating the darkness with a salivating aroma. To the right you see a company store. The empty eyes of plush toys stare at you, hauntingly. They don't look as cute when there are 100 of them in pitch darkness. You turn on a red flashlight, and look around. A stairway leads up towards the offices. You ascend, your footsteps producing barely audible creaks. You come upon a long hallway, decked on both sides with glass screens. Just beyond them are a multitude of computers atop messy desks, decorated with countless anime (i mean "dessin anime") pin-ups. A wheel of cheese beneath each monitor reminds you of your locale. Your ghostly footsteps bring you deeper, further in. A very imposing, steel spike-reinforced ornate door reads "Xavier Houssin". >You produce a set of lockpicks and gently insert one into the keyslot, like meeting an old lover. With a few pushes and slides, the mechanism gives with a metallic crack, and the door slowly opens out. You behold a polished ebony table and a spiked chair 10ft tall, fit for Sauron. A pool... with what looks like bull sharks occupies the far edge of the wall, and chairs on one edge of the table seem to sit precariously close to it. A shirt with a nametag is floating in the water. A whimper from behind makes you jump from your socks. You turn, cold sweat drenching your face and making your palms sticky, just like on a date. It came from a door, a utility closet that reads "fournitures artistiques". Holding the flashlight as a makeshift weapon you open the door with your other hand. A pair of green blood-shot eyes stare back. You behold a blond, freckled girl, tightly bound and gagged with rope. Her clothes are nowhere to be found. She trembles and begins to whimper, visible trails of tears on her face. Her soft freckled breasts jiggle from the movement, as she tries to get away in alarm, only to tumble over, exposing her supple backside, her hips hugging a patch of golden hair. She tries to kick away, but with her ankles tied up it is an effort in futility, just making her twist on the floor, her breasts swaying. Realising the futility of the situation she looks up, eyes wide with despair and terror. "Don't do it" they seem to say.>You come closer. Your hand reaches down and caresses her messy hair, her long ears poking through it. Your fingers descend across her slender neck. A red stripe marrs the perfect skin, where the rope held her tight. Your hand moves across her ribcage, as it moves with every breath. Tight cords secure her arms behind her back, leaving her with no possibility of fighting back, let alone escape. You put down the flashlight, stray light from the torches of the office being more than sufficient. Your skilled fingers reach hehind your back and with a series of clicks a balisong pops open in your hand. The girl shakes with fear, her eyes locked to the glittering steel blade. She tries to get away, squirming, but even one hand holds her close to you. "Sssh.." you say reassuringly, but she refuses to listen. She tries shaking her head, whimpering, begging for some mode of escape, salvation. Eyes wide, tears begin to stream as the knife gets closer, grip reverses and...
>>28314...slips between the rope and her ribs. A gentle tug sends the razor sharp edge through the synthetic fibre. Her arms become more loose. The blade liberates her knees and ankles, and you hold the girl up by the shoulders. A quick swipe of the knife frees her arms and she jolts them forward, to cover herself, tightly clutching her chest. Instinctively she begins to rub the bruised wrists, red stripes reminding you of her captivity. You gently grasp her chin and slip the knife between the rope and her soft cheek. A pop, and the rope falls off her mouth, eliciting a gasp. She's breathing fast, and is shaking. She looks up, puzzled but still very afraid. The red lips tremble and a soft "Pourquoi" is audible. You slip off your dark red pinstripe blazer and drop it over her shoulders, then adjust your tiePas de problème, ma petite chou-fleur.
