Who the fuck locked the last Wakfu thread. Everything was running so smooth.
>over 500 postsLet's just get back to business.
Who gives a fuck, last one had over a thousand. But agreed, back to business. Also Armand dies.
I think we're going to find out another member of the party is actually dragon.Stroudrueljagran.
I want to do my part, as nobody important, to help with subbing and timing. But before I start, what programs do I need? Like Adobe Premiere? And do I need extra codecs and misc plugins to export into MKV?
Again extending an offer to help with timings or anything else I can. Have large audio experience, I assume I can translate that to pinning voices to frequencies and timing.
>>26682You could adjust the gain, most of the recent rips are so soft one would have to max out all volume sliders to hear things normally.
Why is it that even though Adamai is a dragon(ette) he doesn't get a cool name like Grougaloragran or whatever his name is?
>>26681>>26682Well you could start by trying your hand with subbing some of the older eps your way.The scripts are in the old wakfu threads if you're wondering, So yeah, let us see what you can do with a raw, a script and a mixing program. Then we'll see what happens next...In any case, Tenggen Wakfu Ruel Lagann??
>>26688he is young, and i bet he is name is a pun on something.. read it backwards it says Iamada.... wonder what it could mean in french.
http://www.ankama.com/fr/60-video-ankama/3698-inside-ankama-hors-serie-goultardi see nothing interesting so far.its nice to pretend to be sitting next to Miranda
>>26691 Skip to the later half for the Goultard special. It has storytelling, voiceacting, and a lot of extended scenes - they turned it into a proper episode.Sometimes it feels like a mish-mash, the new scenes don't fit with the old ones. Especially the swordfighting at the end (the chain disappears and reappears). But it's as bloody as it originally was - especially the Sacrieur. The only thing I noticed to be omitted was Goultard marrying the witch triplets, it's only one witch now. But I'm not 100% sure they were supposed to be triplets to begin with, someone who first described Goultards story said they were triplets who were constantly trying to steal from the town, with Goultard stopping them, and they eventually started liking each other. If that's his official story, it is much simplified here.
I spy.... a MILF

Does anyone in the old thread(especially Caedo and Frenchy Anon)knows that we moved here?
>>26696OOOOOK ?
I will work on the script tonight, have a lot to do today once again (why is it always the day there's a sub to do that I have a lot of side-stuff to do too ? :( )Though the episode is quite short, this may take a bit of time since I'd like to try keeping the rhymes the narrator speaks in. No promises though.
Hello everyone. I`ve noticed there`s no link to new thread in the old thread. It`s made specially?Frenchy Anon - we believe in you! :)As I understand we won`t get HQ TV rip `till 5th June?
>>26698Thanks a lot (in advance) ^.^
>>26699A tactic to make Ankama lose us?
>>26701 It's insulting to think that anybody here is stupid enough to be unable to figure out how to navigate between threads.
I spy topless ecaflip boobies. You can see the nipple. about 23:50.
>>26703I think this part is more interesting.
>>26703Doze ecaflips.
>>26702I`m going to ask you something:"Are you going to search someone who you hope that he`s dead, or someone you hope that he`s alive?"Ankama hopes that this project is dead(so my hopes are that they won`t search us.)We hope that this project is alive(so anyone in the old thread will search)
>>26691Ankama prolly has much in the way of finances, and the poor black artist dude has to settle on a graphire4?
Lol... I just saw the old thread locked... Clicked on /coc/ and... Wakfu thread first :D
>>26692>The only thing I noticed to be omitted was Goultard marrying the witch triplets, it's only one witch nowAnimated version always only had one witch. Triplets were in the manga version
actually... i'd prefer to see Nox special BEFORE the grand finale , you know why.
>>26692>It has storytelling, voiceacting, and a lot of extended scenes - they turned it into a proper episode. They added no new animation or anything like that. It had all those things already, the complete version was merely never shown outside of conventions. Most people simply mistook the net trailer for the actual thing.
>Most people simply mistook the net trailer for the actual thing.Well that`s an embarrassing thing.(And yes, i did mistook it for the real thingy as well(^.^`) )
They added quite a bit of new animation. The old trailer was 3min long. The new one is ~15, and there is only so much you can do to pad the story.I liked it, but it felt like an unnecessary jump to the predictable BAD END, when the guy was supposed to live kicking so much ass his feet permamently smell of shit. What's the rest of the series gonna be about, goultard the immortal omni-rape god of carnage?
So, that's it? Some cheesy poof channeling Hunter Thompson's left nut, going around the studio for 20 mins and a brief somethingsomething about Goultard? That's quite the downer.
>goultard the immortal omni-rape god of carnage?Yeah, I'd watch that. And no, this wasn't a series, just a short movie that predates Wakfu by years. Ankama released the full version because the TV channel screwed over their fans by not airing the last Wakfu episodes till june.
>>26717I know the "why". I also heard it's the pilot. IE, there is more.
>>26714>They added quite a bit of new animation. The old trailer was 3min long. The new one is ~15, and there is only so much you can do to pad the story. No, reread the other message. The three minutes trailer that could be found on the net all these years WAS NOT the original Goultard short. It was a *trailer*.The original short was never shown on the net, only in conventions, and the 11 minutes one they showed on this saturday is the convention version animation-wise, they only redid the soundtrack. There *isn't* even one more sequence compard to the original.and>>26717Actually they've wanted to release Goultard for about a year already, but they also wanted to reanimate it, but it turns out they simply didn't have time and would never get around to doing it so in the end they went for a compromise and chose to only redo the soundtrack and touch up a few frames.
>>26718You misunderstood. Despite being a Dofus story it was a pilot for the Wakfu project. There's only more in the sense that the Wakfu series is more.
>>26689>Well you could start by trying your hand with subbing some of the older eps your way.>The scripts are in the old wakfu threads if you're wondering,>So yeah, let us see what you can do with a raw, a script and a mixing program. Then we'll see what happens next... THAT SOUNDS SOMEWHAT LIKE A CHALEEEEEEEEEEEEENGE?!Mind, it'll take me a while to figure out if I get higher quality taking in the raw .flv with Premiere or if converting it with Super and doing the subs in Vegas is acceptable. And then there's figuring out what to convert it to. But I'll have you yet, buddy.
>>26703That's... strangely arousing.
>>26722Congratulations, you're one step closer to being furry.
>>26723I've been on the border for years.
>>26702There are people who cry and whine when the postcount goes above 500 (see the creator of the last thread). This means they ignore buttons on the VERY thread they're accessing such as 'last 50'. It is definitely not a stretch to imagine that they've got no clue int the slightest that we've been moved again, and will flood the official fora with cries for their fansubs. I can hardly wait.CT: Disappointing special was disappointing.
>>26727Please note that the creator of the last two threads have been the same. The only reason I created the new thread last time was due to the persistent off topic jaunts (the load times were only partially true). The crapflood will be entertaining at least. Seconded on the disappointing special.
I found the ankama offices bit more compelling than the actual short, tbh. The way they'd put graphics in amongst everything made me concentrate far more than on plain animation. I wasn't expecting great things of the goultard short though, this was done ages before episode three and five, and we know what Ankama thinks of those episodes.
Little Goultard's voice actor is Evangelyne. Tristepin did the casting.Just felt like tossing that out there.
>>26730I caught a few moments where the voices seemed similar, but I couldn't place exactly who it was.
do we have unstyled softsubs for ep 24 ?
>>26733Unstyled meaning...what, exactly?
>>26734plain white font on black bar.
>>26736Ah. I figured that's what you meant.I'm not aware of one...and I'm not really equipped to rip theirs from the .mkv and just change it.But considering >>26689suggested resubbing an episode to prove to Frenchy and them that I could (and considering my attempt on Ep 8 turned into a whole lot of Amalia saying "ook" repeatedly because I couldn't find a script), I started doing so on 24.So if you're too lazy to rip 'em and redo 'em yourself, you can wait for an .ass from me at some point within...however long this takes me. Today, for sure, not sure how quickly though.Or maybe they'll swing by and give you one.
>>26737Righto. Raw if you didn't have it already:http://medias2.francetv.fr/videosread/france3/programmes/toowam/wakfu/wshAVFWEXOHh.mp4White und black softsub:http://www.megaupload.com/?d=HG4LL0UTorhttp://dl.dropbox.com/u/197460/Wakfu%20Ep%2024.assI think that's all in order...there's no black bar on this, but if you want me to add one to the raw for you I can.
>>26727 >This means they ignore buttons on the VERY thread they're accessing such as 'last 50'When using the "last 50" button, you cannot use the number quote or else it will loads the whole thread. This may be browser specific though.
Someone please hardsub.Library of 23 hardsubbed episodes does not accept a softsub NOW :D
>>26740Man, you suck.
Strike of bad luck here :(My internet connection went down yesterday (posting from parent's home, yay for Mothers' day)What I'm gonna do :I'll make a raw script for the Goultard short so that people understand what they say (might not be as polished as previous wakfu scripts but hopefully there's not much dialogues anyway)This will be a good occasion for those who want to help to give a try at subbing (also, if someone can isolate the 11' short from the rest of the video...)Then, when I get my internet back, I'll have a second pass at the script, and will also translate the interviews. Also, about the narrator's rhymes, I will translate the basic meaning first and see if some of you might find good rhymes in english while keeping a close meaning. I'll include them in the second pass.See you soon (crossfingers)
>>26722Since when are boobies "strangely" arousing? Figured we'd all pretty much gotten used to being aroused by tits.>>26739Happens to me too. Defeats some of the point of having a "last 50" button.
To the guy who said Amalia would die in the last thread:No.
>>26743Boobies = HotEcaflip Boobies = Strange
>>26739>When using the "last 50" button, you cannot use the number quote or else it will loads the whole thread. My solution is just to quote someone in a new tab, and then close it out and refresh my last-50-post tab when I'm done. Tabbed browsing is amazing that way.
Ecaflip Boobies = FURRY.
>>26748but why deal with the hassle...
>>26747>>26749I didn't figure Wakfu fans would be the kind of people who that mattered to.
Doesn't really matter to me, especially considering my favorite classes are the Ecaflip and Osamodas. I hardly notice anymore.
>>26740Hardsub what?I mean, there are hardsubs of episodes 1-24 already.>>26742>This will be a good occasion for those who want to help to give a try at subbing (also, if someone can isolate the 11' short from the rest of the video...)Aww, I thought I just did try subbing. :cBut yeah in the mean time I'll try nabbing it with Orbit or something later and split it up.
>>26759Huh? Where?I can only see softsubs and raws...
>>26750What hassle? Read post, right-click, left-click, read the rest of the thread as new tab loads, type post, exit tab, F5 on thread. The real hassle is read post, left-click, have nothing to do while it loads, type post, wait to be redirected to /coc/, re-enter thread, scroll back down to whoever you quoted, continue reading where you left off, F5.
Can someone repost all the links to the episodes on megaupload again?

>>26783Google translate, heed my call!Probably more listening to the VAs and figuring out what they said, I guess. Otherwise, if it was all laid out already, it wouldn't be too difficult to formulate a translation.
Any news on Le Corbeau Noir
Ah, France.
Finally got the Goultard bit isolated in Vegas, playing with output formats. Seems I can't do an mp4 without a lot of shrinkage. .mpg's the same size as the majority of the episodes have been, though, and I think I can get an .avi at 1500xwhatever.Anyway, ready to sub tomorrow or whenever Frenchie manages to pop in.

>>26832It is when he talking about not being able to 'create' an mp4 (you don't create them, you put stuff into them) and using mpg in avi (disgusting) at 1500(wtf is that, not even close to mod). Before assuming that your opinion is valid, do some research. In this case, very distinctly, commercial = useless garbage.I won't argue that for producing a finalized item Vegas would be better than a gnu equivalent (as far as non-linear editing, minor compositing, and consumer-tastic transitions) but most definitely is not the best for manipulating them for the purposes which would be contributory to this project. The intent of my list was to point him in the direction he should be looking for fansubbing, not a statement for the total superiority of open-source. I use Flame, Flint, and Inferno almost daily in a live production environment; I'm aware of the value of commercial systems.>>26827Hey, it's old, but seriously for trimming an already created file based purely on frame references quickly, cleanly and simply and passing to neroAAC, it work's just fine.

>>26837Well, apparently you do not understand a single thing about containers or codecs. So, why do you even post that stupid message?...some people just want to look like idiots for all costs...
>>26837 Done, now it just needs some subtitles.http://www.mediafire.com/?m21m1qzglli I think in total it took all of 15 minutes, 2 of which were spent encoding, and another 6 of which were spent uploading (mediafire apparently caps upstream for non-account holders). Also regarding >.mpg in .avi? "Creating .mp4s?" What the flying fuck are you on about? I didn't say .mpg, I was referring to MPEG-4 encoded video in a .AVI container (very bad, due to the limited B-frame support in standard AVI). He stated he was having issues creating an .mp4, I was pointing out that you don't actually create an .mp4 file per se, you create the audio/video streams and mux them into the .mp4 container. >And I'm sure you're really a pro multimedia man...[] I never claimed to be a pro of any sort. in fact I'm still in my apprenticeship as part of a 4 year degree program. Quite a worm's eye view of the media production universe to be honest, but you do become very well acquainted with the basics.
Just little note about about the Goultard short, isn`t that Rubilax in the sacrieur`s hands?Yes,I know,it's not the same design(exept for the eye)but things change between pilots and their series. There's a few hints in the series that Goultard was the previous owner(mostly in 22),and an early preview of Wakfu(which mixed goultard scenes with episode 5 scenes)showed Sadlygrove holding a rubilax with its blade open like a jaw, similar to what the sacrieur's sword did....
Small correction, just saw the clip again, the scene is a pupiless Sadlygrove with Rubilax resting on his shoulder with a jaw design(just not open though).
