Hey, let's have a thread about comics (or cartoons, I guess...) that we're working on.It's about a guy and a girl (their relationship is like a knight and his squire?) going around killing demons and interacting with anything I thought was cool when I was twelve. He wears armor with this symbol on the chest.
I'll post some stuff to get the party started.
And then it's pretty much in the pencils and flats stages up to page fifteen.
And then more pencils and flats until the last two pages.
Well there goes the competition.
>>22558No, man. Come on, post. I wanna see other peoples' stuff, it's always awesome.
>>22559Well, you know, by saying "Hey, let's have a thread about comics (or cartoons, I guess...) that we're working on" you pretty much described the meaning of the whole /coc/ board. Why would we want to compete for attention with you in this thread if we can just go and create the new one?Did i mentioned that these pages look fucking awesome? I should have mentioned that.
>>22588Hey, thanks.Sorry, I quickly looked around the front page, and all I saw were threads for soundtracks, camwhoran, and outrageous duos, but no comics.
>>22559 But I don’t have anything drawn! And even if I did I’m horrible with scanners. Do more of your stuff.
>>22606see https://plus4chan.org/boards/coc/res/19568.htmlbut yeah the quality of /coc/ has gone down a bit
>>22610Eh, it's never really been about the "quality", rather it's that a lot of "projects" never really go beyond a simple burst of ideas and input before puttering out and fading away. As such, /coc/ doesn't house "projects" so much as it houses ideas that get dropped off for others to elaborate on for a while before moving on. Not that there's anything wrong with that, but it should go without saying
>>22620 Nothing wrong with putting effort into keeping something going, then again I probably shouldn't be typing this if I want that to happen...
>>22628It's cool. Some days shit can't get done.I wish I could write magic and draw sex at the drop of a hat, but I cannot.
>>22620I think as long as we're all having fun, it's a good board.
>>22673Totally, man.
It is about this homeless kid in the near future getting kidnapped by the government. Army gets him into this program where they're piloting giant sentient bio mechanical robots (like in the image, except it talks. And hates the homeless kid).Together they go around fighting terrorists, other giant sentient biomechanical robots, and eventually go insane. It borrows (read: rips) from NGE a bit, but not that much.
>>22682Cool, do you have any pages yet?
>>22692It's mostly scripts and descriptions, I'm mostly a writefag. Not to mention the concept got "rolled back" a bit so I had to start over at some parts.
I'm still in the planning stages, and my artist is in the process of moving, so we're going slow, but we're working on an /m/-related comic. The general idea is that, something like 20-30 years after the events of a ridiculous 70s Super robot show, where all of the pilots are having their mid-life crises and stuff. Comedy gold. Heavy homages to Mazinger and Getter. Hoping to spin it off into an entire universe of Giant Robot stuff, and use it to explore all the shades of Mecha, kinda like Discworld did for Fantasy.
I’m really scared about talking about this one as I always think someone’s going to take my ideas and ruin them. But if I had to keep it vague but clear think of it as a reverse Island of Doctor Moreau where someone thinks there profit to be made in “turning men into the beasts they wish to become” then making some penniless sub-human.
>>22708furry wonderland, also no one wants to steal your ideas, we don't even do anything with our own ideas so quit being a pussy
>>22712 Well that's what I'm intending it to make fun of. Stuff like Las Lindas or whatever it’s called where there are suddenly furries and shit is supposed to instantaneously work for some reason. Along with genetic horror stories of what happens in the process of all this, but mostly guy wants to become human again but suffers from opportunistic mad science and other freaky test subjects.
Got a new page, why not upload it?
>>22811Goddamn, you draw so fucking well.
