Submitted for your approval is this.

A young boy named Clark. Grows up in a small place called Small Town. He is a young and idealistic man. Living with his parents. Then one day something happens. A meteor crash lands in the fields outside his parent's home. He goes to investigate and finds a strange red and blue goo in a large smoking crater. As he observes it slowly transforms into something. Clark watches as the blue and red goop becomes the head of a Pokemon.

Slowly it begins to grow over time and becomes a completely new and strange Pokemon the people of Small Town have never seen. Since it only seems to respond to Clark the young boy looks out and decides that he wishes to use his new found Pokemon to help the world and become a Pokemon master in the process. Then he will found a new Pokemon league. It won't be easy however. He'll need to win over the Gym leaders across the world and convince them to join his Pokemon league.

The Gym leaders are as follows.

Bruce - The gym leader of Gotham City. Rich, hard and intelligent. Bruce proves to be a formidable opponent to Clark as he specializes in Dark, Ghost and the occasional flying type. Finding that Deoxys is weak against dark attacks as well as Bruce's almost complete knowledge of tactics and strategy makes him dangerous and powerful. His signature pokemon are a Cubone, a Golbat and a Natu that he calls Robin. He also apparently has a Houndoom on hand but he rarely uses it in battle.

Diana - Daughter of the actual Gym leader of Themyscira Island. Diana specializes in ground, fighting and some defensive types. She has trained her Pokemon to be expert fighters as such while they lack special moves they are devastating in hand-to-hand physical combat. Her signature pokemon are her Kangaskhan, Blaziken and a Wobbuffet.

Hal, Guy, John and Kyle - The gym leaders of Coast City. Four leaders of the famous Team Green. Hal has the highest level of the team as his pokemon is the most experienced. He has a Skarmory that he occasionally rides. John is the "power house" of the team in that his Metagross is probably the heaviest hitter of the team. Kyle has a Smeargul and while it isn't the most powerful he makes good use of it's Sketch ability and is by far the most creative of the team. Guy is essentially the "Cheap Shot" of the team. He has a whole lot of Pokemon at his disposal, isn't too keen on any of them and is perfectly willing to use a multitude of cheap attacks to see you go down.

Barry - The Gym Leader of Central City. Prof Barry is famous for his top of the line pokemon center and his experiments with Electric and bug type Pokemon. His protege Wally is hoping to become a Gym leader himself. They're both known for having various pokemon on hand like Ninjask, Pikachu, Jolteon, and various others. Mysteriously Prof Barry seems to only select and breed Pokemon with an incredibly high speed.

Arthur - The leader of the gym for an experimental under-sea city. Arthur trains various water pokemon and has an energetic and go-to attitude toward life and adventure. His Pokemon include Kingler, Seaking, Wailord and Kingdra.

John - The gym leader of Apex city. John is an astronomer who studies the origins of Pokemon and theorizes they come from outerspace. His main (and only) Pokemon is a Ditto. One who he has trained to such phenomenal effect that he can copy almost any Pokemon in the world.

Lex - The final Gym Leader of Metropolis City. Lex is a ruthless and powerful Gym leader with unlimited genetics research at his disposal. His Pokemon are all indestructible powerhouses with some of them reaching almost legendary levels and beyond. Lex is a paranoid madman who fears and despises all that he cannot control. The power of Clark's Deoxys frightens him. And he is almost 100% positive that the pokemon Clark claims to be good is most certainly a menace that he will not be happy with unless it is destroyed or put under proper restraints.

First off, that's a kickin' picture. Did you draw it? If so, MOAR!

- The first thing that comes to mind: why isn't Lex the leader of this world's Team Rocket equivalent? Maybe he is, but only in secret, and he used his shadow organization to rise to power in the first place. If so, the Elite Four should all be villains.
- Does Clark have a rival like Gary? No one springs to mind.
- Perhaps more characters should be wandering trainers instead of Gym Leaders.
- Louis and Jimmy should definitely appear as "NPCs." They'd be just doing their everyday jobs, and maybe they play a key role in uncovering Lex's evil plot while Clark and his friends are busy battling.
- Should Clark expand his team, or is Deoxys powerful enough on its own?

>First off, that's a kickin' picture. Did you draw it? If so, MOAR!

Sorry. I think Tim drew it. Ask him.

>- The first thing that comes to mind: why isn't Lex the leader of this world's Team Rocket equivalent? Maybe he is, but only in secret, and he used his shadow organization to rise to power in the first place. If so, the Elite Four should all be villains.

That is pretty much what I had in mind yes.

>- Does Clark have a rival like Gary? No one springs to mind.

That seemed kinda clich'e to me. I think his "rivalry" with Bruce should be sufficient enough as they already play off each other pretty well.

>- Perhaps more characters should be wandering trainers instead of Gym Leaders.

Sounds good. Hell we could scrap the whole "Hal, Kyle, John and Guy" idea and just have Alan Scott be the Gym Leader for Coast City...

>- Louis and Jimmy should definitely appear as "NPCs." They'd be just doing their everyday jobs, and maybe they play a key role in uncovering Lex's evil plot while Clark and his friends are busy battling.

My idea there would be that Lois is an "NPC" to Clark. Basically she's a normal girl with a paper delivery route (cause she wants to be a journalist surprise surprise) and Clark meets her in Metropolis city. He steals her bike after there's an explosion.

>- Should Clark expand his team, or is Deoxys powerful enough on its own?

Hmm... unsure. I chose Deoxys because he's the most powerful "alien" type Pokemon I could think of and matches his persona pretty well.

Awesome idea!

Questions and Suggestions:
-Who are the Elite 4? Other Superman rogues? Bizarro, Braniac, Darkseid, and... uh... Metallo? Perhaps Doomsday for either the E4 champion, or an after-E4 event.
-As for other pokemon, Since Clark is the "Ash" I think that beyond Deoxys, He should get a very diverse set of types and stuff. Of course, something with Ice breath and heat vision.

I think the Elite 4 work good as something that could handle on all scales. Maybe have the Anti-Moniror for the E4 champion.

> -As for other pokemon, Since Clark is the "Ash" I think that beyond Deoxys, He should get a very diverse set of types and stuff. Of course, something with Ice breath and heat vision.

Yes. Clark probably will get a fairly diverse set. However I plan on him basically having 1-6 Pokemon and training them to exponential heights.

Actually if you do want to put in a rival for Clark, then why go with an over-confident jackass who thinks he can do the same job, but better:

Booster Gold.

He can constantly go off about how he's going to be the champion, and how his merchandise will just fly of the shelves then. He'll also brag about "His name will ring out throughout the future!"

His main pokemon: A Heracross named Ted and a series of gold coloured pokemon.

Joe Kerr- A trainer with obsession for defeating Bruce for some past slight that changes every time someone ask him. Battles with him are often skewed in his favor and people mistake his constant smiling face and his choice of pokemon as a sign of a weak player. His unorthodox tactics in battle are often "just part of his plan" and would do in any trainer who takes him lightly. His favorite used to a Mr. Mime until he found a insane little Rotom.

When Clark first encounters Deoxys, it's in Normal Forme. Battling against trainers who specialize in different stats helps unlock its potential. Battling Diana unlocks Defense Forme, battling Barry unlocks Speed Forme, and he finally gets Attack Forme during the fight with Lex.

Clark stood at the edge of what looked like the most intimidating view to his childlike sensibilities. Metropolis City was perhaps the most amazing sight he'd ever seen. Small Town had buildings true. But the highest building he could hope to see in Small Town was the five story apartment that Mr. Berkensin's owned. Compared to the literal skyscrapers and metropolitan buildings, Clark felt like he would be walking out of one wilderness and into a completely different one. Clark turned his young, nubile head toward his tall standing compatriot. Deoxys stood, or more accurately floated, next to the ten year old and simply observed Metropolis City with it's cold, analytical eyes. Clark wasn't sure what to do just yet...
Small Town had been pretty afraid of Deoxys when it had fully formed and started flying about town. The people were fully prepared to fight it. It was only after it had saved him and Lana that the town started to trust the strange Pokemon. Clark rested his hand on Deoxy's leg and the considerably larger figure instantly looked down at the boy.
“Deoxys,” Clark said, “I want you to stay here.”
Deoxys simply looked at Clark. He had some difficulty reading the Pokemon at times, but Clark had a sort of empathy that was seldom seen. He had the feeling Deoxys was a bit disappointed that it couldn't take to the air and start flying about the massive concrete and steel structures that rose before it.
“Deoxys...” Clark started “you saw how Small Town reacted to you. And Small Town doesn't have a lot of people. Metropolis does. And they'll all come after you if you're so much as spotted. Please Deoxys just stay out of sight. I'll be back with Professor Emil.”
The red and blue Pokemon simply looked at Clark and nodded. It backed away and Clark watched as it receded into the darkness of the forest. Clark sighed, he felt sorry for the thing. Most Pokemon were cute and could walk alongside you or hop up on your shoulder. There were definitely larger, meaner and more aggressive looking Pokemon than Deoxys. But they never went near cities and Clark was almost 100% sure that Deoxys would cause up a storm of attention by the sheer fact that he was probably the only one of his kind on earth. Clark's Poke'dex had simply said “No Such Pokemon Exists”. The mere fact such a rare and possibly dangerous Pokemon would be in the middle of a city would invariably cause panic.
Clark sighed and wished Deoxys would get inside a Pokeball. Then again he should probably feel grateful Deoxys was willing to listen to him at all... he wondered why it liked him so much.

Walking into the center of Metropolis City was more like walking into a mountain range than a forest. The reason Clark thought that was he was a Small Town farm boy who'd never seen a city like this before. He'd been out in the fields in the forest and occasionally to the mountains. And when he thought about it. Buildings were a lot like mountains weren't they? Just real thin and you could go inside them. All he had to do was find the one mountain that said STARlabs and he'd be fine.
Clark looked about. There were plenty of people, plenty of talking, plenty of food vendors and restaurants... fact there was a good lot of everything. Clark had barely any idea where to begin. Maybe he should ask for directio-

WHAM. The impact that struck the back of his head almost knocked the breath out of him. He'd lifted hay barrels and carried miltank milk jugs before so getting the wind knocked out of him wasn't such a bad thing. But this just felt so... sudden! It was like getting punched in the gut for no reason. Clark nearly fell flat on his face and only just managed to compose his step enough to not fall over.
“Hey you!” he heard in a forceful voice, “watch where you're going!”
Clark wanted to turn around and shout. But as he rubbed the back of his head he decided to withhold anything rash. His pa told him being considerate came fist. Clark twisted about and his angered eyes fell upon a young girl standing next to a bicycle. She looked about his own age but stood in a manner that seemed to dignify herself as being greater than others. Her patronizing eyes, for what they were worth, matched her pretty face and the pink ribbons tying up her black hair did well to contrast her mostly dark gray dress, as well as go with her similarly colored stockings. It felt as though her mother and herself seemed to have a disagreement on what they wanted her to look like. One opting for a refined yet drab look while the other wanted a more feminine appearance. So they settled on an odd yet fashionable compromise.
She walked up to Clark, dragging her bike along, and picked up what looked like a roll of newspapers in her hand. As Clark observed closer he noticed an entire bag of Sunday edition newspapers in a basket on the back wheel of her bike.
“Oh. And I'm sorry I guess,” she said offhandedly as though courtesy was only a secondary thought to her.
“That's fine...” Clark said as he rubbed his head more and tried his hardest to not scold the girl for being more considerate of nearly knocking him flat on his face.
“Not from here huh?” she asked as she started walking past him.
“Yea,” Clark said as he began following her. Following would be a misstatement however as it seemed more like they were heading the same direction.
“I can tell. You got the look of someone who's never seen Metropolis City before,” she said.
“Yea I'm from Small Town. It's just a little bit south of here ya know?” Clark said.
“I heard of it,” the girl said as though she would rather be talking about something else “sounds like a pretty boring place though.”
“Yea boring,” Clark tried to laugh it off. If she'd been there for the past few weeks she wouldn't have thought so. “Hey miss do you know where STARlabs is?”
“Lois,” came her voice.
“Lois?” Clark replied. Unsure what she was saying.
“Lois Lane,” she repeated “it's my name. Don't forget it.”
“Uhhh... Clark, Clark Kent,” Clark responded. He held out his hand and waited for her response. He couldn't help but shake the feeling that her last line, “Don't forget it”, was a threat of some sort. Lois shook it and then looked at him with her typical glazed expression.
“If you're looking for STARlabs,” she said, pointing her finger out and looked over in the direction she was pointing. Clark followed. “Just go down tha-”

BOOM! Lois's calm and collected face instantly shattered under a shocked and horrified look as the place where she had been pointing had suddenly gone up in a massive burst of fire. Her eyes widened, her mouth hung open and her scream dribbled off into a gurgling mesh of disbelief. The sheer coincidence, coupled with the incredibly force and sound of the explosion that had sent practically all other adults in the area running, had completely destroyed the seemingly unshakable girl's nerves.
Clark on the other hand instantly realized the situation and thought out what had to be done. The boy's eyes narrowed and he looked around for something that'd increase his speed. Lucky for him there was a bike right on hand.
“H-HEY MY BIKE!” Lois shouted as Clark grabbed the steel contraption and instantly peddled off with it.
“I'LL BRING IT BACK!” he shouted from behind as he instantly disappeared among the assembling police cars.

“If reports are correct, sir, then the three legendary birds are in the Archipelago,” the man on the screen said. He was a nameless flunky, at least to him anyway. Just another pawn in a much larger game called life.
“And your status on actually capturing them...?” the individual asked. He tapped the arm of his chair in annoyance. One of the first signs that you're treading of thin ice. The nameless flunky gulped down the bile in his throat and saluted as hard as he could.
“Sir we've already prepared a team of excavators. If they fly out into the open, we will be ready for them,” he stated with as much certainty as he could. The man's tapping finger stopped and his hand rested.
“Good. If anything goes wrong... please don't be afraid to call me up,” he said darkly. It was obvious that there'd be a price for failure.
“Yes sir Mr. Luthor,” he stated as the screen turned off and the blackened room suddenly raised it's blinds to reveal the sunlight sky of Metropolis City. Lex stood up from his chair and stretched his legs. Things were going just as he had hoped. He looked out to the city below and smiled. This whole city was in the palm of his hand. A few words here or there and he could take anything he wanted. Anything that came into this city would go through his hands first. Anything that this city claimed to own was most likely his first. His organization's funding had made some of the greatest breakthroughs in technology, research and most importantly genet-

BOOM! The scene of the small peninsula out in the middle of the artificial lake instantly caught his attention. Lex's eyes widened as he looked over to the huge ball of flame. His mouth almost wanted to drop to the floor but he managed to hold onto it. Then came his cellphone. He grabbed the black rectangular block and opened it up to see his driver on the other side.
“MR LUTHOR!” The woman shouted “STARLABS! It's-”
“I noticed,” Lex said. Doing his best to hold in the boiling rage that was threatening to end him over the edge. He instantly moved to the door of his personal office and headed out toward the elevator. “Get me there ASAP!” he shouted as he entered into the elevator, closed his phone and watched as the twin doors closed in front of him.
____________________________________________

Clark had rode the bike all the way out to a flaming base in the center of an artificial lake. It seemed like a solid idea, having a dangerous test facility and laboratory be in the middle of an artificial lake. But Clark found it only a hindrance as he peddled as hard as he could toward the pillar of dark gray smoke that covered the sky in front of him.
The closer he got the more he could make sense of what was going on. STARlabs had exploded and now the entire second floor was billowing full of fire. Clark could see that the open door of the first floor was leading out various scientists, workers and other people. Police cars and firetrucks were gathered around the building and attempting to put out the fire with their hoses and a crack team of Squirtles on hand.
“ATTENTION EVERYONE!” the megaphone broadcasted the voice of the petite Asian woman who was giving clear instruction with her arm motions. “PLEASE EXIT THE BUILDING IN A CALM AND ORDERLY FASION. DO NOT GO BACK IN FOR PERSONAL BELONGINGS. I REPEAT. DO NOT-”
As Clark approached he noticed the green and blue uniform she was wearing. Clark thought back to his dad and recalled that he said police officers were one of the few people in the city he could trust. Clark rode up to her and skidded to a halt once he was close enough. She instantly seemed to draw her attention away from the burning building toward Clark. Before she could ask any questions Clark asked his own.
“Miss! Did Professor Emil come out of there!?” Clark shouted. The woman seemed taken back by his forceful question. Clark had never been one to raise his voice but this was an emergency. He had to know if Professor Emil was alright. She looked out into the crowd of people who were escaping form the burning building. Her eyes squinted and her teeth started gnawing.
“I can't see him...” she said. That was all Clark needed to hear. He instantly rode off in between two police cars and started peddling toward the burning laboratory.
“H-hey wait! You can't go in there!” the police officer shouted. Trying her hardest to both quell the boy without intimidating him. It was too late of course. Clark had already bicycled his way up the parking lot second story balcony and peddled his way inside. The laboratory was doused in a burning wallpaper. The roof was a burning skylight and the broken windows seemed more like ports for smoke than refreshing views of the outside. The reddened room had heat emanating from every aspect. Just looking at it from the outside, Clark could already feel the intensity beat down upon him. Still he abandoned the bicycle and entered. His eyes visually scanned the room from right to left. There were things Clark would expect from a science lab. Test tubes, desks and papers... but what caught Clark off guard were the larger glass tubes and the pool of liquid chemicals at their base, indication that they had broken not too long ago.
Clark's vision eventually settled on a downed roof beam and he suddenly caught a perfect vision of a downed figure underneath it.
“PROFESSOR EMIL!” Clark shouted as he moved to the unconscious form.

Lois Lane was sitting with her arms folded in front of her and her legs crossed over one another. She was angry, that was apparent enough. But it wasn't the typical kind of angry you saw with Lois. Lois usually kept her negative feelings inside. The girl wasn't easily flustered unless things went really wrong. In this case things must've been going really wrong as she not only lost her pragmatism but she actually looked like a child.
“Kid you shouldn't be here,” Mathew Perry commented. Driving down the small stretch of land toward STARlabs. He was a reporter. A simple investigative journalist and all miss Lois was to him was a right pain in the neck. It didn't help that this girl had a mouth on her and acted around a pretense of maturity but also that she wanted to be JUST LIKE HIM when she grew up. No wait that was a lie. She didn't want to be just like him. She just wanted his job. And every day he was reminded of that he considered going into real estate.
“Mister Perry, all I want is my bike back. Once we find Mr. “Clark” you won't have to worry about any of this...” Lois said, keeping her voice as modest as possible. Perry huffed. “Mr. Perry”, “Mr. Clark”? Some people might've found that cute. But the way she said it made it sound like she was her boss even though he was a grown man and she was a random girl with a paper route.
Perry drove up to the police barricade and stopped in front of a familiar face.
“Officer Kate,” he said, poking his face out the window, “What the heck happened here?”
The Asian woman turned to regard Perry and looked at him with what was probably the most worried expression she'd ever given him.
“We got an emergency call from STARlabs!” Officer Kate said “there was an explosion and firefighters and doing the best they can. But we don't know what caused it or how.”
“Ya sound worried there,” Perry said, he'd known the officer for a while and she never sounded this nervous before.
“There's a boy in there!” Officer Kate said “he went in there on a bicycle and I didn't see him come out!”.
Perry nodded. He was an investigative journalist. It'd be an insult to his intelligence to not put two and two together at this point. He moved back inside the car and spoke to his backseat passenger.
“Looks like we found your-” Click, click, BANG!
Perry instantly twisted his head around and saw that the back of his car only had three unfastened seatbelts.
“... bike,” Perry said as he once again poked his head out of the window and Kate proceeded to follow his line of sight to a little girl, running toward the burning building like she was challenging the fire.
“HEY YOU CAN'T GO IN THERE!” Officer Kate shouted into her megaphone again. She looked exasperated and defeated. Not only had she let one child slip through her fingers but she'd let TWO.

No.12899
Lois avoided the entrance altogether, made her way up the parkway path to the second floor balcony and noticed a familiar steelwork vehicle laying right by the smoking door. Lois instantly ran over to her bike and inspected it. She twisted her head inside and found the familiar boy standing amidst the flames, trying to move a toppled over roof beam. Her eyes widened. She wasn't sure what was going on but upon seeing the flames and the collapsed ceiling. Her senses instantly told her just how dangerous this was. She tried to think of something to do.
Get bike, get out... that was her first though. But as she watched the boy in the blaze she instead found herself running inside. Sense and reason began losing themselves to the adrenalin pumping in her body.
“CLARK!” she shouted. The boy instantly turned his head toward her. He didn't question why she was here. Didn't bother demanding she explain herself. All he could think about right now was helping the trapped professor Emil.
“LOIS! GIMME A HAND!” He cried as he tried to lift the beam with his hands. Lois saw what he was trying to do and she instantly complied. She gripped the large wooden beam and they both began to try and lift it.
“PROFESSOR EMIL! PLEASE WAKE UP!” Clark shouted. The form underneath the beam began to cough and sputter. He slowly began to pull himself up and out from under the beam. Lois and Clark were both holding on for dear life at this point. Their fingers and hands both growing painful and numb. Clark's eyes remained shut as he gritted his teeth. This wouldn't be the end. This couldn't be it. He'd see himself, Lois and Professor Emil out safely if it was the last thing he'd do...
Clark let out a primal cry as best he could. Mustering what strength he had left to lift the heavy beam up from under Professor Emil.
______________________________________________

In Metropolis City. If you weren't looking out your window in the direction of the ball of fire or the pillar of smoke. You were looking at something else. Sometime's it would just be a tiny object flying overhead. Maybe a Fearow or other bird type Pokemon. Other times it'd fly by the window of a big office building. Distracting everyone there with the sudden red and blue colored streak. Maybe it was just an experimental plane? But if you were one of the lucky ones you'd look up while on top of a roof and you would see something heading your way. You'd give your eyes time to adjust to the speed of which it's moving and as you watch it go by you know that what you just saw...
Was something completely out of this world.
______________________________________________

Emil pulled himself out from under the tremendous weight. The scientist looked up to see that two children were standing above him. A boy in a blue and red hoodie who looked worn out by the way he held his palms to his knees and panted heavily. And a girl who wore a black dress with pink stockings who looked more concerned with the condition of her hands than his or the boy's own condition.
“Who... are you...” Emil panted out. Trying to regain the strength he had lost.
“I'm Clark,” Clark panted.
“I'm Lois Lane,” the girl said.
“Oh!” Emil said. Clark... he'd heard of that name before. “You're that boy from Small Town? The one who found that weird Pokemon you wanted me to look at?”
“Professor we have to leave!” Clark shouted .
“Ah yes... well then. Let's-” Emil tried to stand but the middle aged man instantly collapsed to his knees and griped his leg in pain. Clark and Lois instantly moved to him and grabbed his shoulders.
“Professor Emil!” Clark shouted.
“I'm sorry...” he wheezed, “but it looks like my leg is injured...”
The three were plotting to lift the professor up and drag him to the door. When suddenly they were all stopped by the sound of collapsing framework. They all looked to see that the roof right above the doorway collapsed, leaving an entire pile of rubble in front of the door.
“We're trapped...” Lois whispered as her legs began to tremble. She began to collapse to the ground herself. She was going to die. She was going to die in a burning building without having ever fulfill her dream. Her status as a reporter. Winning awards. Marrying a rich businessman and retiring on a desert island. It was all going up in flames. She turned her panicked face to Emil and Clark.
Professor Emil seemed to be praying his last prayers while Clark continued to stand and look for a way out. Lois's eyes examined the boy. Before he looked like a random country bumpkin but... standing here, in the fire, with that defiant look on his face. He actually looked... respectable. When she saw him on the street he'd looked pretty meek and submissive but right now he seemed almost... heroic!
“Uh... Clark...” Lois said, her voice just barely raising above the flames.
“WHAT!?” Clark shouted. Hoping that she'd found a way to escape.
“... I'm sorry that I threw that paper at you...” she said.
Clark looked at her confused for a second. Did she just apologize? It was a bit late now but... no. That was wrong. It was never to late to say you're sorry. His dad told him that. Clark thought of the best thing to say. He could say “don't give up” or tell her to not worry. Then again that might've seemed pretty hollow now. As the Fire grew more intense and Clark saw Lois's crumbling confidence in their survival he responded the best way he could think of.
“... you're welcome,” he said.
It was at that point the floor gave weigh.
_______________________________________________________

“Let me through!” Lex shouted as he moved past a couple of officers and reached the yellow tape that was installed shortly after Lois had sneaked by the barricade.
“STOP!” he heard behind him. Lex turned to see Officer Kate behind him. Holding out her hand defiantly.
“You can't go in there!” she shouted. Her determination was starting to faultier. She had let two children go past her but she sure as hell wasn't going to let someone else risk their life needlessly. Officer Kate grabbed the bald man's arm and he immediately responded by shaking her off.
“CAN'T GO IN THERE!?” Lex said mockingly “Listen you rudimentary social worker! 75% of this companies funding comes from MY company. Half of what's IN there belongs to me so you had better-”
Lex's intimidation and Kate's reply were instantly cut short by a red and blue bolt launching right past them and flying into the burning building via the front entryway. Lex and Kate both froze as the back wind from whatever past them receded. Lex had felt the biggest chill go down his spine as he turned his head about. Kate simply watched with wide and confused eyes.
“You...can't go in there...” she gasped. It was doubtful whatever did heard her or even cared for that matter. But it made her feel better.
The roof of the complex seemed to shudder as something blew out through the roof. Lex, Kate, Perry and the remaining firefighters and police officers watched as something began to fly overhead. They were completely oblivious as the laboratory started collapsing in on itself.
______________________________________________________

It had happened so fast that the three of them could barely register. The floor had given weigh but no sooner had it than they were all being lifted up into the arms of some... creature that had started levitating them above ground. Soon the sky and the roof had gone flying past and now they were hundreds of feet in the air. Professor Emil looking up, Clark looking up and Lois looking about in confusion as Deoxys floated in the center of the three of them.
“Deoxys!” Clark shouted. Relieved that his friend had come to save them. His shouting caught the attention of Lois who turned her head and screamed slightly at the sight of the alien looking Pokemon.
“Extraordinary...” Professor Emil gasped.
“W-what is that!?” Lois shouted. Not sure if the red and blue human sized Pokemon that was lifting them hundreds of feet up was friendly or not.
“It's Deoxys,” Clark said “he's kinda my Pokemon.”
Lois looked at Deoxys and it in return began staring at her. The creature's eyes had an unusual cold and blank stare to them. As though it was trying to make sense of her underneath all of that. The creature looked like it might hold out it's... “hand” to greet itself any moment or drop her and fly off to look at something more interesting. She couldn't help but feel more than just a bit intimidated by the thing. Whatever it was.
“... couldn't you have just got a Charmander?” she asked.
Clark wasn't sure how to respond. He decided hundreds of feet in the air wasn't the best place.
“Take us down Deoxys!” he commanded and it seemed to comply.

When Deoxys landed the firefighters, policemen and personnel on hand all seemed to have an expression of shock, confusion and fear. The Pokemon relinquished it's hold on Clark, Lois and Professor Emil. Letting all three fall from the relatively low height of a few inches. Deoxys turned it's head about and surveyed the stunned onlookers with it's cold calculating eyes. Some of the police officers had already begun reaching for their guns when Clark moved in front of it.
“WAIT! HOLD UP!” Clark shouted, “this is Deoxys, he won't hurt anyone!”
“Deoxys...?” Lex gasped. The man had lived his entire life based on certainty and leaving nothing to chance. This place, Metropolis City, was his playground and his well oiled machine. As far as he was concerned he was looking at the biggest, most menacing looking monkey wrench he'd ever seen.
“He saved us,” Clark said. Officer Kate looked to Clark then to Deoxys and slowly opened her mouth.
“Is that true?” she asked, aiming her question at Lois and Emil but unable to tear her face away from Deoxy's eyes.
“Yes...” Lois and Professor Emil said in unison. Kate looked down at the little girl and the professor. The children had some scrapes and looked worse for wear but otherwise unharmed. Emil looked injured and his small limp indicated his leg needed attention but nothing permanent. She turned her gaze back to Deoxys and mustered a smile.
“Well then” she said, extending her hand to Deoxys “on behalf of the Metropolis City police department I'd like to thank you Deoxys. For saving this scientist and these children's lives!”
Deoxys examined her outstretched hand. It seemed to do nothing for the longest time then started to outstretch it's tentacles toward her hand. Slowly it made a circular shape and was about to grab hold when Lex suddenly swatted Officer Kate's hand away.
“DON'T TOUCH IT!” he shouted to her, “we have no clue what this... THING is!”
“Deoxy's isn't a thing!” Clark shouted.
“Really boy?” Lex turned his gaze to Clark. Lois's patronizing stare seemed absolutely complementary in comparison to Lex. Who very well might have thought the boy to be scum under his boot, “then where did this thing come from!?”
“... I found him,” Clark said “in an asteroid that fell in my parent's backyard.”
“He's an ALIEN!?” Lex shouted as his eyes shot up to Deoxys and he found to his utter disturbance that it was staring right at him. Lex tried his best to keep his cool. But had he thought he could win and had not just seen it go flying into a building then proceed to lift to children and a grown man with it's mind he might've struck out against it right then.
“Lex please,” Professor Emil said. Now finding he could at least stand on two legs. “I agreed to observe this Pokemon that Clark found. I believe it-”
“Believe nothing,” Lex said with finality. Just looking into that thing's eyes alone would give him nightmares for the next couple of years. “This thing should not even be here. It belongs in a laboratory or a museum at best.”
Deoxy's cold eyes didn't respond to Lex. Clark, on the other hand, had grown fed up with his demeaning behavior.
“Deoxy's wouldn't hurt anyone! He saved me, Emil and Lois and he hasn't hurt anyone since coming here!” Clark responded.
“And I hope it stays that way,” Lex said. Turning around but not before shooting it one last glance to see if it was still watching. The way in which he said it indicated he would be just as happy to see it blasted off into space than given a proper chance. “Emil! Let's go. We have something to discuss.”
Emil watched Lex head for his car. He looked to Deoxys and then to Lex then Clark. Slowly he lowered himself to Clark's level and rested his hand on Clark's shoulder. He was obviously worried about something.
“Clark I'm sorry but I have to go with Lex,” Emil said.
“But what about-” Clark was about to object but Emil stopped him.
“You can wait for me at my house. I'll write you my address,” Emil took out a notepad and paper and proceeded to scribble on it as best he could with a pen from his pocket.
“But... I-” Clark tried to respond but before he could Emil had already apologized one last time, left him with his address and had already walked into Lex's limousine.

“URRGH!” Officer Kate shouted “the NERVE of that man!” she looked from Lex's retreating limousine and back to Deoxys. Then she soon decided to look back to Clark. “Hey don't worry,” she said, “I'm not gonna arrest your Pokemon,” she wasn't sure she could believe that herself. But there were some things you just didn't say to kids.
Clark looked at the address in his hands and sighed. He'd come all this way and what? Professor Emil just gets up and leaves him? What about the appointment he made or all that he'd done in Small Town to get them to earn Deoxy's respect. To convince his mom and dad that he was good and that the fact he had saved him and Lana proved that. Even when it saved him, Lois and Emil right in front of all them there were still people who didn't trust Deoxys. Clark looked up at his Pokemon and wondered... maybe if it could talk and actually communicate...
“Tell ya what!” Officer Kate said “how about I take you to the Pokemon center. You can spend the night there!”
“Huh?” Clark asked. He obviously hadn't heard her. Too wrapped up in his own thoughts.
“Come on!” she grabbed his hand and started pulling him toward one of the police cars. Deoxys slowly levitated behind them.

The lab had completely burned down now. The building collapsed, the smoke and the fire had burnt itself out. And now all that was left were a couple firefighters in the center of it all, trying to uncover what the cause of the explosion was. And at the far end there was a girl who was looking at a blackened and charred bike handle. She grabbed it and tried to pull it up. Soon she realized that the bike in question had been so utterly destroyed by the flames and the collapsing building parts that had fallen under it that it was pretty much unsalvageable.
“Hey,” Perry said as he walked up to the girl who still examined her bike with wide and horrified eyes. Finally, something good had happened today. Was the only thing Perry could think of at this time. “Sorry to tell ya this but the editor ain't looking for a papergirl who can't get across town without mommy and daddy driving her...”
Lois instantly picked up on what he was saying. Speed was the key here and no bike meant no more paper route job for her. Lois's eyes grew enraged and her brow furrowed. She could blame this on her stupidity for going into a burning building and not trying to get her bike out of danger's path. But then she had to remind herself who started this. Who was the boy who HAD to get here as fast as possible and use somebody else's transportation without her excuse? The answer became obvious.
“That... MORON!” she cried up into the setting sun.

And in the future...

Team Green - Team Green is the first "team" that Clark, Bruce and Diana encounter. They're a team that's dedicated to protecting Pokemon and human relationships across the world. Choosing Children with extraordinary Willpower and training. They each have a different member who patrols a different land (kinda like Hoen or Johto and such). Their leaders are a group of men called The Guardians. A group of stuffy businessmen who ultimately don't care for personal feelings.

Team Yellow - A group of terrorists who were lead by a former member of team Green (and a rival to Hal). They wish to also preserve pokemon and human relations. But while Team Green does this through law enforcement and non-lethal practice. Team yellow uses scare tactics and intimidation. Their pokemon are almost always terrifying and powerful but rumor has it they seek a legendary Pokemon called Parallax.

Team Red - The next team to appear. Team Red is a terrorist group in that they seem to be nothing more than a cause for complete destruction. Their leader Trey is a mad scientist who invents collars that cause all of his Pokemon to become enraged (increasing their Physical attack and HP while decreasing their Special Defense and causes some of their attacks to become random) and his Pokemon are unleashed on unsuspecting populaces to cause supreme damage.

Team Blue- Team blue are lead by two former Guardians. Garret and Sal. Who specialize in Pokemon who are adept at Tag-Team battles by giving their partners superb boosts in energy and health. They've been known to assist Team Green on occasion but still seem to have some animosity with them.

Team Orange - Lead by a single man. Lars is a man obsessed with catching every single Pokemon ever and hoarding them all to himself. His special Orange Balls can be used on Pokemon already captured and those that are become his slaves.

Team Violet - Team Violet seems to be compromised of fangirls for team Green. Routinely they challenge them and other teams (with suspicious female-only Pokemon) all while making outrageous bets against them. Ranging from "go out with me if I win this match" to " marry me". Much to the Chagrin of Hal, his female friends tend to be off again, on again, members.

No.13042
The way I see it, Team Green started out with a bunch of corporate suits looking for a way to regulate and prevent Pokemon terrorist activities more because Police just weren't doing the job. So at first they decided to have a group of robot Pokemon catchers called the Ball-Hunters. Unfortunately these malfunctioned and caused the near (or complete) extinction of several Pokemon species. After great public outcry they cut their losses and decided they would simply recruit ordinary people as worthy Pokemon trainers. Choosing those who showed great discipline and willpower. They would give them each a special "Will Ball" that helped stimulate Pokemon kept inside. Unfortunately this gave a rather strange weakness. Most of those Pokemon were suddenly disadvantaged against yellow colored Pokemon.

The greatest of these was a boy known as Sinclair from the land called Kougar. A powerful Pokemon trainer who was known among team Green as their "Greatest". When his close friend Abdul was grievously wounded by Trey and his rage induced Pokemon. He left his only remaining will-ball in the hands of the boy who happened to find him. Hal Jordan.

Hal himself had recently lost his father and was begging to grow distant with his brothers and his mother. The boy wished to join the military but since he was too young and Team Green assured him they could get him a position he decided to accept. Hal was trained by several of Team Green's trainers (including Kilian Wagg, their tough as nails hardcore trainer) and proceeded to recruit several more of his friends into Team Green. This included John and Guy. When Hal met with Sinclair the two had a somewhat understanding of each other. But as Hal began to observe Sinclair's home country he found that Sinclair was using his power and access to terrorist organizations to kill and torment dissonance as much as stop actual criminals. Hal wound up fighting Sinclair and Sinclair wound up being imprisoned within the central holding cell of Team Green's base.

Eventually Sinclair learned of a legendary Pokemon of fear called Parallax and he began to utilize a plan of escape. Using Ghost Pokemon, Sinclair wound up possessing Hal and attempting to have him destroy Team Green. Hal was freed by a combination of Garret (who was still one of the guardians at the time) and a new member of Team Green named Kyle Rayner who's Smeargul helped to bring Hal back. Eventually it was discovered that Sinclair was behind the events and he had perfected a brand new "fear-ball" that increased special attack to a great extent.

Sinclair escaped but he would later go off to form Team Yellow. And a mysterious prophecy surrounding the "Black Night" still remained.

Wesley: Dwozee, Hypno,Snorlax Lunatone.
Jim: Haunter, Spiritomb, Dusclops, Mismagius, Gengar
Carter: Pidgot, Noctowl, Swellow, Staraptor.

As for the villains, why not have each city/gym troubled by a particular member of a shadowy group of villains. For instance, Sinestro can be troubling Team Green with his fearful pokemon, Barry's laboratories can be attacked by a master of ice pokemon, and so on. Clark has to help the each gym leader save their gym before he can challenge them to a match for his badges.

Just before Clark faces off against Lex, it would be revealed that he was the secret leader of the Legion of Doom, and he was trying to dismantle the current league so he could rebuild it in his image.

Al is the original Atom. All his pokemon are small normal types. Wesley is the original Sandman. All his pokemon cause sleep or are notorious sleepers. Jim is the first Specter. He uses Ghost types. And Carter is Hawkman. He uses a flock of flying types.

I would have included Jay and Alan, but they didn't last long in the original JSA. Also, we already have the silver+ age versions represented, and it would be lame for Clark to have to fight two leaders who are virtually identical in style.

Team Violet has been around almost as long as Team Green. The leaders of Team Violet are a group of women who once worked with the official guardians. After glimpsing their amoral (and often uncaring) views to their children agents and their Pokemon. They sought to rectify this by pairing up the little members of Team Green with childhood sweethearts. It was nothing more than arranging some fun play dates at first but as the organization grew more disapproving of the guardians and less rational, Team Violet has developed into one of the more disturbing (or just bizzare depending on your point of view) organizations out there.

Team Violet's recruitment process is typically a selective process set out by operatives. They typically steak out suitable candidates and proceed to invite one (or possibly a group of them) into one of their patented beauty parlors. Claiming that they wish to make young girls "Feel like real Princesses". The young girl(s) are then given a routine hair job and some traditional makeover methods. However at the end they are given one last therapy. They're put in front of a hypno and mesmerized into believing they're really princesses and fully fledged members of Team Violet.

Soon after they are given an assortment of love balls and are told to go out and find their prince charmings. Due to the reasons they were chosen, 9/10 these tend to be members of Team Green and while some attempt to win their "princes" over with words, charm and diplomacy the majority of them, under the freeing spell of hypnotism, tend to act like rabid fangirls. Often times challenging their princes to battle and making outlandish bets in the process.

It isn't uncommon for a team violet member to bet that if the boy she's battling against loses to her he will have to marry her. This leads to many awkward moments between members of Team Violet and Team Green. Especially when the member of Team Violet is snapped out of it but find the hypnosis difficult to shake and sometimes falls into re-lapse.
__________________________________________

I tried to find a good mix of both childish fun with this (which is what Pokemon is about) along with what was basically the premise of the Star Sapphires. I chose to make them think they were princesses because that's kinda what the original Star Sapphire's were about and also because it adds to that image of being a self important whiny bitch that matches their motif well.

Keep in mind that majority if not all Team Violet (and Team Green for that matter) members are children so the primary reason the Team Green boys typically don't wanna go with the Team Violet girls isn't cause they're hypnotized or acting crazy or anything. It's cause they're FREAKING GIRLS MAN. They're icky and they won't leave me along goddamn! I just wanna read my comics!

And the pic is related. I was imagining their uniform would be a violet colored version of Mars (from Team Galaxy) uniform. And this was surprisingly fitting for that image.

So since each town typically has somewhat of a plot associated with it. This is what I figure.

Gotham City - A bunch of special TM's were stolen. They're in the guard of several of Gotham City's worst criminals. These include Joe Kerr (who uses various Ghost and Smiling Pokemon), Pamela who uses mainly poison and plant types, Oswald who uses bird types and finally Harvey who uses two Pokemon at once (luckily, Bruce will show up and assist you in a tag-team match). When you finish you can finally challenge Bruce to a battle and you also get to select one of the special TM's you recovered. Bruce gives you the Bat-Badge.

Themyscira - Themyscira is home to a natural safari and the town itself has many Pokemon trainers looking for a battle. As you're on the island. A dangerous war monger who calls himself Ares is sending wave of his own men in. In order to win you'll have to fight him off and you'll eventually meet with Diana as you do. When you finally defeat Ares however, the Gym leader refuses to battle you as all of her greatest warriors (herself included) are without any recovered Pokemon. All save one as Diana proposes you battle her. Diana gives you the Amazon Badge.

Coast City - Coast City has quite a few problems up it's sleeve. First of all each member of Team Green is in the middle of something and can't be bothered to fight. In order to get them all to agree to battle you. You'll have to assist them. For Kyle, you have to help him find his missing Girlfriend Alex. If you go up to the refrigerator and open it she'll come out and reveal herself as a member of Team Violet. She'll be angry that you're not Kyle and wish to battle you. Guy is currently watching the two famed singers Fire and Ice up on stage. In order to get him to agree to battle you all you gotta do is manage to get him and you backstage (avoiding guards and such) and then participate in a Tag-team battle against Fire and Ice's Flareon and Glaceon. John is currently dealing with a construction site but as you enter the two of you will find it under attack by a couple members of Team Red. You'll have to fight them off. Finally to get Hal you'll have to assist him in a battle against Team Yellow at the Airforce base. Leading to an eventful fight against Sinclair. You then get to battle Team Green. If you win they give you the Lantern Badge.

Central City - All the roads leading to Professor Barry's place are cut off. The only way to get through is to take down an elite team of Pokemon poachers there who have been looking to steal Professor Barry's various Pokemon. These include Evan (who has a Wabafett), Jeremy (has a Scizor and gives you the CUT HM), Joey (who has a Muk), Alex (who owns a Rapidash), Owen (who owns a Marowak) and finally Len who owns a barrage of Ice Pokemon. Then you get to fight Barry. If you win he gives you the Speed Badge.

Atlantis City - Getting to the undersea city will be a hassle enough. When the tunnel that's suppose to take you there gets shut down. Your only option is to find the surf HM and proceed to travel around the islands until you can find the Dive HM. At which point you will have to fight several scuba divers and proceed to get into a battle against Black and his powerful Mantine. Only then will you actually get to enter Atlantis city, find the gym and fight with Arthur. If you win he will give you the (I'm very tempted to call it the OUTRAGEOUS Badge...)

Apex City - The observatory in John's study is unique. Once you enter into the Gym a flash of light surrounds you and you'll wind up on a strange new planet. This new planet is full of Alien Pokemon and (Depending on what version of the game you have) you'll have the opportunity to catch the legendary Parallax/Ion. Once you manage to defeat/catch Parallax/Ion. John will appear and take you back to Earth. Warning you about the dangers of teleporting to Alien world's. At which point you will be able to fight him and his souped up Ditto. If you win he gives you the Martian Badge.

Metropolis City - Lex will be waiting for you with his entire Legion of Doom here. Every single bad guy you faced before (Bat Rouges, Flash Rogues, Ares, Sinclair, Team Violet Alex, Etc) will be here ready to fight you in Lex's multi-level. State of the art Gym. If you managed to beat Lex the Police will show up and uncover his operations. By default you'll gain the Superman Badge and the officer will comment "Metropolis City could use a Gym Leader like you."

That's why I put the option for a Mt. Silver kinda deal. Maybe when you beat the game and try to go to Mars again (since you fight John there), you could find some alternate path or whatever and fight him.

I was just writefagging for the thread on /co/ running now.

Pokemon Researcher Alec Holland resides in a house beside the entrance to the Old Swamp. The Old Swamp hold many Grass, Water, and Poison pokemon that you can catch but don't go near the graveyard by the lake. It's been said to be haunted by a undead Burglar named Grundy. Only a skilled trainer can defeat him.

OK so here are the TM's I thought of for the DC universe Gym Leaders.

Bruce - TM 35: Preptime. When given to a Pokemon, this attack allows it to withhold a turn in battle to study it's opponent. At which point it's allowed to dodge the opponent's next attack and deal critical damage to it on its next attack.

Diana - TM 22: Truth Binding. This attack is effective against dark type Pokemon most (as this attack has an 80% chance to work on a Dark Pokemon while only a 40% chance to work on a regular) it causes the Pokemon to be paralyzed and give out it's next attack beforehand.

Hal, Guy, John and Kyle - TM 45: Recite Oath. This special maneuver dramatically increases your Pokemon's Special Defense and Special attack.

Barry - TM 53: Vibrate. This maneuver lets your Pokemon dodge any attack for two turns.

Arthur - TM 65: Command. This attack causes Water Pokemon to damage themselves in battle.

John - TM 76: Mind Scan. You learn all of your opponent's attacks and abilities.

Lex - TM 12: Solar Charge. This powerful attack causes your Pokemon to significantly increase all of it's statistics. Especially devastating if used in conjunction with Solar Beam. However it can only be used during daytime.

I found this link and thought it might be useful if someone was looking to make this playable. I'd do it myself if I had some free time.

You know what would be appropriate for a secret boss?
An older trainer that looks like Clark. In fact, his pokemon roster consists of older/more evolved versions of Clark's Pokemon. And once Clark defeats him, he says something along the lines of "Your adventure doesn't end here. It never ends, not for us..."
Yep, a veritable Supermanfrom Earth-Blue.

No.13144
Hello, Clark. My name is Professor Quintum. I am a pokemon researcher.

I know it was not your intention to become a pokemon trainer, but the alien Super Pokemon has made a special bond with you, and it is your duty to use these Super Pokemon Powers for the betterment of the world. In your journeys across this wide world, you will encounter many kinds of wild pokemon. Some of these may be very rare. It is my goal as a pokemon researcher to collect and preserve samples of Em All.

To this end we can help each other. Take my special Q-balls and use them to capture wild pokemon. They will instantly be transported to a special zoo in a Fortress of Peace where they will be well cared for. Now prepare to enter the fabulous world of pokemon!

I think Sunkern would be a better starting Pokemon than Deoxys. It fits his origins of being raised by humble farmers and it shares the sun motif.

Clark didn't just become Superman out of the blue, he spent years traveling the world helping people and learning how to use his powers first.

Him starting out with a legendary doesn't feel quite right to me. Does anyone else feel the same way?

Hi. OP here.

While I'll admit Sunkern kinda fits. Clark's shtick is that he was born special and had special powers that both alienated him from humanity but also gave him the opportunity to do something good for it. He became Superman because he knew he had the power to help others. In this world it seems kinda weird how he'd just wake up one morning, decide to go out and save people with just some ordinary backwater Pokemon and go from there.

Don't get me wrong, that's a valid back story for many characters but it doesn't fit Superman's motif well.

No.13152
On that matter. Would Clark actually be Johnathan and Martha Kent's biological son? Or would he still be adopted?

No.13154
Biological son.

It would make Jonathan's death that much more tragic

No.13163
To the OP.

Why not make Riolu Clark's starter? He's quasi-legendary, powerful if raised right, and it's evolved form fits the Superman theme...Man of Steel/Pokemon of Steel

> Clark didn't just become Superman out of the blue

Yeah, he did. It was a while before he put on the costume, but he was lifitng cars above his head as a baby and doing what he could to help people.

Dyoxis works for his pokemon.

Hippolyta - Mayor of Themyscira Island and one of founders and the current leader of the Themyscira Gym.

Phillipus - Chief of Police, she taught Diana and many others how to battle with their pokemon. She sometimes takes over as gym leader when Hippolyta (or "Polly" as she calls her) is away on important mayoral business.

Circe - One of Diana's most hated rivals, Circe has a long-standing feud with Diana for reasons only known. She mainly uses Psychic and Ghost types given to her by her mother. She lives in her family's house a few miles outside of town.

Artemis - A friend of Diana's who is one of the top students of Phillipus, she is known for her aggressive battle style and her "never say die" attitude. Many of her pokemon has a similar attitude and have scars because of it.

Io - Local blacksmith and metalworker who makes the badges and various training equipment for the gym. She has a huge crush on Diana and she often makes gifts for her.

Etta - A spirited, adventurous girl, Etta Candy often follows her on wild journeys around the island. Her father, "Hard" Candy, and her mother "Sugar" Candy, own a ranch on the island and the PokeMart.

Victor - A mysterious trainer. Supposedly holds the one and only Missingno. He is often characterized by his trenchcoat, fedora, orange socks. And the fact he doesn't have a face.

Because his hands go through a lot of dirt (literally) he is often the one to go to when information or a rare item is needed.

No.13238
Maybe in the gyms they're could be Youngster-type trainers. Like in Bruce's gym there is a Youngster who uses Taillow and it's line. And in Diana's there's a Lass who uses Claydol

Well, Arceus would work, but I'm not sure Billy would have one. Or he could, given that Clark has a Deoxys. But if not, next highest that starts with A is Azumarill.

This or he just gets one from Small Town's Pokemon Researcher, Professor Phineas Potter who is Lana Lang's uncle(in the Silver Age stories). He could also be the one who sends him to Metropolis with Deoxys in the first place.

BTW, what kind of pokemon would Lex Luthor have?

The perfect pokemon for Clark could be Dragonite, big, strong, friendly. Can fly and has few weaknesses.

No.14238

Lex would basically have a slue of Pokemon hopped up on super powered augmentation.

Imagine him having Mewtwo in his armor. Now imagine Mewtwo and Deoxys in one huge epic psychic duel.

That's what the battle between him should be like.

No.14328
I personally think that Deoxys is a perfect starter for Clark. It's legendary, exceptionally powerful, and fits his blue and red color scheme of course, which is all in line with the Superman indentity.

But, something we're overlooking is the way the world saw Superman when he first arrived. It was a mixture of fear and awe that just wouldn't be possible for any other Pokemon. And it gives Lex a believable motive for hating Clark, because the cold, calculating eyes of Deoxys are beyond the fear and total control that Lex can subjegate anyone and anything else to. Hell, he doesn't even KNOW what this Pokemon IS. Giving him a Sunkern or Dragonite would just not work at all, because everyone knows what those Pokemon are, and they know how to beat them. When Clark first arrived as Superman he was basically Deoxys to Metropolis. It fits so well, there's nothing that could take it's place to me.
