It's weird, Homestuck is one of the few, maybe the only, form of written media where I've ended up giving a 'voice' to each character I can distinctly hear in my head. Mostly brought on by the typing quirks and A-class character interactions.Terezi always had a... not a lisp, Sollux has that. More like some weird stuffy-mouthed hiss spoken one octave too loud for comfort. Probably why I can't stand to hear any voice acting done for it, it just clashes way too hard with what my mind created.
I'm not going to lie pretty much every character sounds exactly like me with some vague quirk. I always imagined Terezi as being a little croak-ey, to exaggerate the jaggedness of her constant laughter, giving her a broken, mocking tone during speech. Like she's making fun of a kid whose voice was breaking, or imitating someone choking up on the verge of tears.I put too much thought into this.
I don't really imagine voices, just...bizarre Banjo-Kazooie-esque grunts in certain timbres for each character. Strange, since I usually read with actual voices in mind. I can describe what they sound like in my head, but I can't put an actual voice to any of them, if that makes any sense. Eridan, for example, speaks with a faltering vaguely East European accent, weaving in and out of it as he chooses, part of his need to create a facade to conceal his feelings. Feferi is bubbly, permanently excited sounding, and she kind of gurgles, her voice squeaking and drawn in the back of her throat (like Flapjack) when especially excited. Gamzee's the only person I have an actual voice to, and that's Tommy Chong. I can't not hear that man's ragged, permanently high voice when I read any of Gamzee's lines. It's probably why most Gamzee productions weird me out because most others prefer Cheech without the Latin accent.

If I stop to think about it, I've got respect and props for what Karkat did. I've got some cat-herding experience myself and it can be a pain in the neck.Dude knows the right way to yell at people to get shit done.
Calling it, Terezi gets Jack exiled and Karkat's furious and doesn't really understand why it was necessary. This wrecks their relationship. Later when they see what Jack does in the kids' game he comes to see she was right but still feels manipulated. With the kids' help though (specifically John sending confused messages back and forth through time) the two get back together.

I have some thoughts that are hard to put into words, so please bear with me while I try my best.I think that in causing The Rift, the kids have come closer to beating Sburb than any other group before them. I think that the entire purpose of Sburb is the eventual defeat of Lord English, a being who can only be born/revived after the universe has ended, something which The Rift achieves quite nicely. And I think that every game of Sburb is all in the same long session, a parallel with how the trolls thought they were in two teams in two separate sessions. So the final battle will consist of every Sburb player ever against Lord English amidst the Extra-Dimensional Cosmic Superstring Strata in a sort of just-as-planned all-out ultimate boss battle amidst a fractal made of infinite fully-prototyped Skaias. And that when the various sprites said that the forces of good were fated to lose against evil, it was really talking about how Jack Noir was always supposed to become this powerful nemesis whose defeat would tear the universe asunder and bring about the end (and in a weird paradox, the beginning).I don't know, it's hard to explain all the thoughts in my head and I have a headache. Rift, Lord English summoned, gets beaten, game finally ends, the universe is reconstructed safe and sound.

I have an idea for how Vriska might've blinded Terezi, but it might just be A Bit Too Emotional and drama-wanky for MSPA. On the other hand, we had the Vriska Pupa Pan fetish seduction scene, so who knows?Basically, instead of mind-controlling Karkat to go hurt Terezi, Vriska mind controls Karkat then tells Terezi that she knows Terezi has feelings for Karkat and is going to have him cut himself up using mind control. Terezi is powerless to stop her, so Vriska offers to let Terezi blind herself of her own free will - if she does that, Vriska will let Karkat go.So Terezi blinds herself and Vriska feels incredibly bad all of a sudden because she actually went through with it and actually keeps her word for once. They both feel sorta bad for trying to kill each other and recognize each of them is powerful enough that they might succeed if they try again, so they declare the truce. Karkat never knows what happened.

The other communities don't particularly dislike the forums as a people, though there are certainly certain kinds of unsavoury members; personally I think they generally seem nice though I just wouldn't be able to carry a fun conversation with them. The problem is mostly with the forums administration. Their uhh, management style is pretty much the polar opposite of chan culture so there is obviously some resentment. For example, they made a huge deal out of some of the members in an IRC channel making up lines of joke erotic fanfic of some of the forum members, resulting in a permaban and a push for public apologies. The word atrocious was thrown around, something that really bothers me personally, and the admin generally treated it like the joking members had stabbed people with rusty shivs or something. And I mean, that kind of stuff is practically a nightly activity with our own IRC channel so such a reaction is very confusing and infuriating to us. This is probably because our IRC channel was founded by a bear and our instincts now tend towards mauling and rocking cars.

It's like, if I'm going to an anonymous imageboard, I know people are going to be bluntly honest and some of the images are going to be... odd. But then you have a forum where everything is supposed to be innocent smiles and butterflies, and I can enjoy that too. Of course, a side effect of this is that when someone over there posts like they'd post here, I tend to get really uncomfortable about it, even though if I had read it on an imageboard it'd have been no big thing.
