Damn, I need to catch up with this series.

When your as old as him, eventually even the best of efforts and ideas can seem like mistakes.

Also, LOVED how his plan to deal with Sonic was to just outlive him, and do so well.

Considering he's an immortal, his looking so old is quite mysterious. I'm curious as to why Fiona Fox hasn't been branded by Silver as the big traitor, considering she's an ACTUAL traitor to the Freedom Fighters and supposedly has big plans for the Destructix.

Is Sonic Universe any good yet? I'm tempted to give this story a shot, but I hadn't heard any burning recommendations.

I'll go get Penguin God. If he can't sell it to you possibly no one can.

The latest Sonic Universe story is ABSOLUTELY AWESOME. The whole story has a very quick and fun pace, despite its four issue run. The Battlebird Armada are funny, interesting, and just threatening enough to be a good villainous group without really going overboard. Everybody is really great just to look at with the interesting classic Sega designs and Yardley! art, from the kooky Dr. Fukurukov to the ambitious Speedy, and scenes like the picturesque Cocoa Island and Armada Battleship are both interesting and pretty.

The writing is some of Ian's best: the plot is simple but engaging, the characterization is SPOT-ON (with Antoine being at his absolute best) and even the hints to future events come off as more intriguing than annoying (as I know was a problem in Echoes of the Past.) Speaking of which, the pacing in Tails Adventure is also MUCH better than the other SU stories. This is the first story besides Shadow's that doesn't feel stretched or squashed to fit into the four issue limit, and you can tell Ian is getting a much better feel for the story length. And, just to repeat, it's SO FUNNY. In just one arc, the Battlebird Armada have become one of my absolute favorite villains and I can't wait until we get to see them again.

So, to sum up my ramblings, do I burningly recommend it? WITH FLAMES AS HOT AS THE SUN.

I decided to catch up on the Sonic Comics today, and I have to say...

I enjoyed this scene very, very much.

It's a scene from SataM. Antoine is captured, and Snively interrogates him, using improper cooking as a torture device. It's fairly well known in the Sonic fandom for so perfectly encapsulating the silliness of Antoine and the show in general.
