Oh God yes!!!! And while it does hurt that the run was cut short due to bickering and 4kids bullshit (BASTARDS KILLED FOX KIDS!!!) At least I can watch the thing in entity and have it all be quality for the most part.

I was still used to when she wore a Speedy outfit. I sort of stopped caring about Green Arrow in '05. Guess things have changed a lot in comics, big surprise.

Explain Aqualad to me, I assumed he was Aquaman's son, who is clearly white in this show. If he isn't, then my apologies, my knowledge of the DCU isn't quite as good as I'd like it to be.

He's from Silver City Mexico, he has some kind of relation to Black Manta, the story is ongoing.
He's a completely separate character from Tempest who dropped the name Aqualad 20 YEARS AGO.
And had no true blood relation, Aquaman's actual son is dead.

>Next we got to get information on Young Justice. It's a different take and premieres in November. It's all about secrets and lies. It will have a firm part in the DC multiverse set on Earth-16. It's not the Teen Titans or Justice League Unlimited. It's a more realistic approach and will have appearances by Superman, Batman, Flash, Green Lantern, Aquaman, Martian Manhunter, Green Arrow, Red Tornado, Hawkman, Hawkgirl, Captain Marvel and others. Young Justice will be their secret weapon.

>We'll be seeing Dick Grayson Robin who is 13. He has the most experience but won't be the leader. Leadership goes to Aqualad. Geoff Johns gave permission for Aqualad's father to be revealed. It's Black Manta, if you hadn't already guessed. We'll also see Kid Flash (Wally West, age 15), Superboy (age 16 weeks), Miss Martian (16 Martian years) and Artemis (age 15).

>The clip looked amazing. Considering I don't get a chance to sit in many panels at Comic-Con, this was a great one to sit through.

A few more things
>As explained, Young Justice will take place with the DC multiverse on Earth-16. As a conscious choice, DC chose this world as it is untapped, which allowed them to set the rules and conditions for their universe. To start off, Superman has been fighting crime for 10 years and the Justice League is new to the scene. So effective at their job, the heroes of this world have forced the villains underground, to band together in more intelligent ways against the forces of good. With celebrity status, the Justice League is constantly in the public eye, so they need a team to be able to work covertly, under the radar, in order to take it to the villains. And that team is Young Justice.

>As far as the casting for the series is concerned, you can expect some pretty big names to show up on this impressive production. Most notable is Bruce Greenwood returning to voice Batman, after his take on the character in the straight to DVD film Batman: Under the Red Hood. Other names attached are Phil LaMarr (Aquaman), Alan Tudyk (Green Arrow), and Rob Lowe (Captain Marvel).

>We were given a short montage clip with scenes from the series, and we can tell you that the voice acting, music and animation all look and sound extremely good. With a great history of animated superhero programs DC seems to be attempting to add yet another show to their list of well above par television programming for children and adults.

I'm with this guy. Kind of disappointed it's Wally/Dick instead of Bart/Tim... I mean, it's called freakin' Young Justice. But whatever, I'm still gonna watch it and hope it's as awesome as it sounds.

No.76775
I know it unrelated, but I can't seem to find my sources (other than people discussing it on Toonzone) and I don't want to start a thread without them.

DTV's were getting next year
>All Star Superman
>Green Lantern: Emerald Kights
>Batman: Year One
>Compilation of shorts, including as follows
>THE SPECTRE The Spectre is vengeance incarnate, and when a duo of murderers incur his wrath, they find that there are far worse punishments than simply getting caught. Rated PG-13

>CATWOMAN When Catwoman comes to the rescue of a cat being shot at by thugs, a ribbon tied to the cat's collar becomes a clue that leads her into Gotham's salacious underworld. There Catwoman uncovers an international slavery ring, which she has to bring down to save its victims, including the cat's owner. Written by famed Batman scribe Paul Dini. Rated PG-13.

>LOBO Lobo, the grungiest, most self-centered interstellar mercenary this side of the Milky Way, has his hands full when he reluctantly accepts the assignment of delivering a baby to the royal family of a distant planet. He can't understand why forces are trying to stop him, until he completes his delivery and discovers that the baby is really an intergalactic assassin intent of destroying the royal king. Rated PG-13.

>GOTHAM BY GASLIGHT What if Bruce Wayne had been born in Victorian Times? That's the question posed by "Gotham by Gaslight," which features a turn-of-the-century Batman trying to track down a Jack the Ripper killer on the foggy, cobblestone streets of Gotham City. Based on the acclaimed graphic novel. Rated PG-13.

>GREEN ARROW While at the airport to pick up his girlfriend Black Canary, Green Arrow comes head-to-head with some of his greatest enemies who are intent on assassinating a newly arrived young princess from America. Rated PG-13.

>BOOSTER GOLD/BLUE BEETLE In a parody of a buddy cop movie, Booster Gold and Blue Beetle are on surveillance duty, watching the apartment building of a diabolical scientist. When they inadvertently make their presence known, the scientist activates the weapon he's been hiding, a giant doomsday robot, which is set to go off like a ticking bomb unless our heroes can figure out a way to stop it. Rated PG-13.

>JONAH HEX The tough-as-nails bounty hunter Jonah Hex always gets his man - until someone else gets to him first - in this case a murderous madam who wants to steal more than just his bounty from Jonah Hex. Based on a story from the award-winning Jonah Hex comic series. Rated PG-13.

>SUPERMAN/SHAZAM As Clark Kent interviews street kid Billy Batson, he realizes that the feisty kid has a lot of heart. When Billy is chosen by an ancient wizard to turn into the hero Captain Marvel just by invoking the word, "Shazam!" Billy's powers come none-too-soon, because he also discovers that he's being pursued by a centuries' old, murderous villain, Black Adam, who is out to destroy Captain Marvel and is so powerful, not even Superman can stop him. Rated PG-13.

No.76776
Earth-16, huh? In official DC Canon, this is home to the "Super-Sons" and an Aang-like Chris Kent. Interesting future they have there...

And in the case of Artemis/Arrowette...did they mention it was the latter with just a changed named in any articles or intreview relating to the series?

Also, I'm also tempted to say that this series is in the same canon with the recent JL: Crisis on Two Earths movie, but I'll hold off. Only connection thus far is similar looks in animation & both use the new Martian Manhunter design. Besides, that would make Barry kind of a wisecrack.

Young Justice actually isn't the original title. That was just a lucky coincidence: they originally had it as Young Justice League. DC changed it because hey, they already own a name like that.
Also Bart wasn't Kid Flash in Young Justice... he only recently even got that title.

All the stuff about the movies is true (he left out Superman/Batman: Apocalypse, though we kind of already knew about that), but half those shorts are made up.

The Spectre (which is already out), Jonah Hex, Green Arrow, and Superman/Shazam! thing are real.

The Catwoman, Blue Beetle/Booster Gold, Gotham by Gaslight, and Lobo ones I can't find any mention of anywhere else.

The description for the Lobo one makes it really obvious because if it were real it would have given away at least half of the freaking plot!

The actress who voiced the character called her Arrowette when the news first came out. My guess is that at some point the producers figured out the name Arrowette kinda sucked and changed it to Artemis, but the character remains pretty much the same. She looks a lot more like Arrowette than she looks like Wonder Woman's Artemis in any case.
