I decided to give this a shot, not expecting to like it much, but figuring the beasties would be cool and 'cause of the lure of cute monster-girls. To my pleasant surprise, I really started to like it. First couple episodes were a tad rough around the edges, and looked like they would confirm what reservations I'd had about the show. Though by the third episode it seemed to find it's stride, and it's now one of those shows I look forward to every week.
I love the art direction on this show. So sleek and dynamic.I also find it amusing that every episode is advertised like horror movie.
>>60142>I also find it amusing that every episode is advertised like horror movie.I hadn't noticed 'til you mentioned it, but that is pretty neat. Kind of a retro B-movie vibe to the ads, which suits the themes of super science and mutants.
Anyone know of any episode uploads?
>>60158None that I'm aware of, sadly.
>>60159Aw, nuts. Plus, this:>search for art of Dr. Holiday>actually find a couple decent pieces on deviantART>plastered with huge watermarksI'm sad now.
>>60172Here's a thing.
>>60183Oooh, thank you!
Kickass opening, which has been surprisingly hard for me to find.Overall, it's a decent enough show, though it's been a bit slow to my taste. The overarching villian introduced in ep 1 has a good design, and his powers play an excellent opposite to Rex's tech based abilities. Unfortunately I'd like to see things move a little faster, or at least development of the side cast in a more timely manner.
>>60214The slower pace doesn't bother me too much, possibly because the first couple episodes felt sort of hurried. I do wish certain characters would get more screen-time though, particularly Breach. She probably gives the greatest hugs ever.
>>60238She looks like a cross between Sadako and the Cloverfield monster.
>>60242Verily, and she's voiced by Hynden Walch, so she sounds adorable. Though we haven't really heard her say much yet. :\
I'm kind of angry this beat me to the punch of using an accurate representation of nanomachines. No matter how advanced they'd be they'd still be a possible cancerious tumor if there are too much of them in any given spot in the body.
>>60268Oh come on. Nanomachines are the new radioactivity/genetic engineering in the long line of bullshit science excuses for powers. Let us have fun.
>>60276I think he's saying that the show's use of them actually stands up to scrutiny, but I haven't watched it so I wouldn't know.
>>60277 Yeah that. The latest episode in particular shows even Rex has to play to a set limit of nanites before there is just too many to handle. Although I am fearful that if this “machines have a collective intelligence in Rex” continues they will pull a fucking Legion.
>>60238 hrm... she looks much older in this picture than I first thought.
>>60280There's been a couple split-second moments in the show where you get a glimpse of her face, and she's probably late teens/early twenties. Pretty cute.If that pic makes her look older, it's probably just the line under her eye, and I imagine that's meant to imply a mournful expression hidden behind her hair, rather than an indicator of age.
Okay, I did a little hunting and managed to find the first six episodes. The first episode is nice quality, but 2-6 all appear to have the tops and bottoms of the picture sheared off. :\ So if anyone can get better quality versions of those episodes, that would be excellent.Ep. 1: http://www.megaupload.com/?d=YYURFHG7Ep. 2: http://www.megaupload.com/?d=V6RMAWIVEp. 3: http://www.megaupload.com/?d=BY5YKI3IEp. 4: http://www.megaupload.com/?d=HNAJSTJ5Ep. 5: http://www.megaupload.com/?d=5V29LPS1Ep. 6: http://www.megaupload.com/?d=FO6R1V5K
They do stream every episode of it on cartoon network video.Last episode was nuts. People going "AKIRAAAAAAAARABGLGE!" all over. Definitely a cut above with them actually killing people and conspiracy themes.
Tonight's episode was pretty good. Next one is going to give us info on Breach.
Every time I see the main villain I want to see some fire based evo. I don't care if they rip off both Ace and the Human Torch, I want a damn fire user to just wreck his plant based shit.
>>60362The only source I have for these is Cartoon Palacehttp://bt.cartoonpalace.info:6969/index.html?filter=Cartoons&search=generator+rexBut they've only got eps 3 to 7 at the moment.
>>61402Hey, they've got episodes 5-7 in HD, and every little bit helps. :)>>61291>Next one is going to give us info on Breach.I'm quite looking forward to that. She looks to be even cooler and creepier than I'd thought.
Oh GOD I feel bad for Breach...
>>62476Indeed. Was one of those times I'd have liked to reach through the screen to give someone a hug.Cool episode overall. Breach's town was awesome, and that pink bunny which seemed to be a nod to Frank from Donnie Darko was a nice touch. Six and Bobo's side adventure in the desert was fun as well.
>>62527That looks horrifying.I need to start watching this.
>>62527Both the girls need a hug. Lost souls being toyed with by a Techno Vampire. Bet before the seasons up we be bawling over the reasons all of them are forced into their position like with Tex Hex (Bravestarr) and Windfang (Conan the Adventurer)
I'd been meaning to check this out. I have no idea when it's on, but'll keep an eye out.
>>62534indeed this is pretty damn good. overall feeling this is what Alien Force could have been like if they hadn't pulled a Highlander 2 on its ass.
I don't think we've seen the last of breach. Also more backstory is nice.
I like how the solution was scorched earth policy with her doll house.
I hope breach becomes a good guy
>>62645I don't really see that happening. I mean she's is crazy. It would be very hard to fix her. I do see her striking out on her own as a villain though. But i guess we'll just wait and see.
>>62647Maybe becoming some Antihero who sides with Rex from time to time.
>>62649Maybe. I think she's so broken she might not comeback until someone finds her and fixes her. Wither the person is good or bad will be up to fate
>>62671how does one fix something that likely retreated into itself
>>62675Warm weather and an attractive woman usually.
>>62671 Smash the Mirror.
So i missed yesterday's episode. What happened?
>>63691 It's playing again this morning. What time you go by?
They're really bold about on screen death, I was surprised in this latest episode when that poor redshirt soldier guy got eaten alive by mutant fish and Holiday cut a snake in half. bitch.
>>63719Yeah, that one surprised me a bit. Surprised they didn't just go ahead and have the water turn red.
>>63714I just saw it. No way Van Kliess is dead yet. Also the brother aspect could be interesting. A possible evil Rex? Also the injection thing could end up being a good thing or a bad thingAnyone see what the preview for the next episode is?
I tried to watch it, but the pacing is horrible, the main characters are incredibly annoying (Everytime Rex does some shitty one liner I think about Ben. Don't even get me started on that monkey), and the plotholes are numerous and glaring. Not to mention the action is fairly lousy.
>>63727>No way Van Kliess is dead yet.Agreed. The way the status of almost the entire Pack is now uncertain just opens the door for a dramatic group reemergence at some point.
Wow..everybody back on the visual death bus then.
>>63755Also Van Kliess will have a passenger along that will stop him from killing Rex at some crucial point I bet.
so data is up to some mad science nowand what was with no preview for the next episode
>>63867CANCELED FOREVER TIME FOR SOME MORE LIVE ACTION BEN 10
>>63868Hopefully not. Its not as strong as Adventure time but its stronger than Unnatural History.
>>63867Show's on a brief hiatus
>>63937
>>63968So did Brave and Bold but now they are back strong.
>>63993true, but at least brave and the bold got through a whole season before that happened
WHAT?WHAT?NO NO NO.I WAS JUST STARTING TO REALLY LIKE THIS SHOW.
lol @ all the girls watching this show saying "Rex is so hot! So cute!"lol @ me agreeing with them
>>63937This is good news for me, now I will have time to fully catch up with it.
>>64308That reminds me: here's a better quality version of episode 3.http://www.megaupload.com/?d=03DY0VTV
Kind of disappointed that Noah's secret with the organization got reveled so soon.
Breach seems to have more decent fan art than Dr. Holiday and Circe put together. I'm okay with this.
Cartoon Network Action Pack #50 features a Generator Rex story. Nothing astounding, but not bad either.August issue will be a full issue of Rex.
Behold: HD versions of episodes 2 and 4.http://www.megaupload.com/?d=BU65ODI9http://www.megaupload.com/?d=6L24E88JI hope new episodes come back soon. I'm starting to get itchy from withdrawal.
More fan art from Japan. I guess it's not surprising that they'd love Breach.
We need more Holidays.
"It was this big"
More hot Holidays
she wants a monkey on her back.
>>71689lol laser guns
>>71713For the monkey but she is using autopistols. Oh sweet glorious firearms again.
>>71684 >>71717I can't decide whether she looks hotter in that dress or the combat gear. Kinda leaning towards the combat gear...
Any word on when new episodes might start up again?
>>76738Maybe when Brave and the Bold starts again?
I had really high expectations, but I didn't really like the show that much at first. But I stuck with it, and it has become better in my eyes. The characters were pretty annoying and generic at first, but they have shown a pretty good deal of development. Joshua's secret being blown so early was a pretty bad move, but honestly he kinda comes off as a useless character. Bobo's sorta the same, but it's less about his presence and more about the fact they had to make him a monkey apparently because LOLIT'SACARTOONMONKEYSARETEHBEST.Overall though, it's nice to see an above-average action cartoon again. And that Breach episode was fucking awesome.
Finally got to checking out this series thanks to awesome people with download links.Same feelings as above comment. If you're wondering if you should give this show a shot or not, do it. I really liked it. I hope it gets some more episodes.
New episode Sept. 17th!And a bump to save from page 9.
>>90835Took long enough.
Last tuesday saw this for the first time. And I lliked it, pretty solid action series. I should check the download links later.

>>91584Excellent, many thanks!
Well, tonight's episode certainly reinforces what a douche White Knight is. Also I really liked the design of the faceless ringleader.
Pretty good episode. I hope the season has a strong finish.
Tonight's ep, courtesy of GottaVCR on normal /co/:http://www.mediafire.com/?ta7utea2cdojahfand also (not from GottaVCR)THIS IS NOT THE EPISODE THAT AIRED TONIGHTGenerator Rex 1x13 - The Hunter [449] - http://www.megaupload.com/?d=EUK1AA76This episode has not aired yet. It was originally going to be 108 but CN is retarded in the way they air things so it will be 113. Ripped from CN On Demand.
Show gets tragic when you remember a good number of these evo critters were human once
>>93635 Bits and pieces maybe, some are probably people melded to their pets or children, or some poor dog with just acquired sub human sentience trying to play with people by ripping off their limbs.
>>93655wonder if they'll get the stones to show graphically painful transformations
>>93680Actually they've already tested those waters. That traitor who was selling nanites, from episode 6 mutated rather horribly, a fair bit of it on-screen.
>>94038I mean those really brutal transformations like in some of the werewolf movies where they actually rip off their skin and stuff. But I'm glad the show if finding its footing
>>94039It was comparatively rather mild, but it's nice to see an action cartoon getting gutsy with the content again.
