PASTA THREAD! (Rice also allowed)Gnocchi was hereeverything else is good but not quite as good
Now now, let's not turn this into a "my pasta is better than your pasta" thread. ...but angel hair is totally the best.
Pastas can even go into casseroles for great justice.

>>2640They are typically served in place of pasta despite their nonpasta status.also shut up>>2635Angel hair is too thin! Laaaaaaaaaaaaaame.
I like manicotti.
I hear millet is a wheat and/or rice substitute. Has anyone tried it?
>>2645if thats what i think it is shit fucking sucks
I've tried gnocchi in both tomato and cheese sauce.Still not sure which I prefer.Or which is "correct", for that matter.
I can go down on some couscous with some cheese, basil, and oil. To bad I never am able to have it.
I've never had gnocchi, even with the hearty supply from the Italian grocer across the street. I should really have an 'Italian' week. I'm eating too much Asian food.
What is gnocchi like? Are those bits like solid noodle-dumplings, or are they filled with stuff?
>>2656It's like tiny little potato dumplings, only better than it sounds.Oh God, I wish I had some right now.
>>2651>>2656Gnocchi is unbearably delicious. It's very soft and "gummy" I guess is the best way to describe it. They are not filled with anything but are just soft lumps of potato/wheat squish. The soft texture is usually accompanied by a light tomato and cheese sauce (my favorite is the kind in the OP). It is also extremely filling, these are heavy little morsels.urrrgggg now I'm hungry for gnocchi
>>2640Fuck you, yes it is.Potato Gnocchi in pesto sauce yeeeeeeeeeeeeeah.
>>2658Damn, that does sound good. That description made me hungry. And slightly aroused.
>>2660ilu
>>2660This. This is the best gnocchi.
