What kind of basement shelter have been hiding under? They have pizza slices with a pastry roof over the toppings.

Back at college, the guys at the dorm I was in would always go dumpster diving after they chucked the unbought pizzas they'd already made.

They were still clean by then, from what I heard.

I was just going to post asking about this place, since one is opening up in my area. Seems the majority dislikes them, but I'll still try it out since I loved their commercials as kid. PIZZA! PIZZA!

Brando's. They got this chicken pizza. It's got 4 types of cheese, big chunks of chicken and bacon, and hot sauce instead of pizza sauce. So good.

Also the bingo tray at Good Guy's back home is literally the best pizza I've ever had. Note I've never actually been to NYC itself, but I live in Western New York so...that's close enough ,right?

Pirate's Pizza. The pizza has thick crust, heavy topping, 4 cheeses and their signature appetizer is flaming greek cheese

Nothing here in Flint, but there are two in the Mid-Michigan area I can think of. One is Biggie's Pizza in Otisville- a small family-owned business in the middle of nowhere with some of the best pizza ever. Everything looks and tastes just like something you might make at home- the pizza is big, covered in gooey cheese and chunks of meat, and you can barely pick it up. Second is Buddy's Pizza in Auburn Hills. It actually was featured on Food Network's top pizza places in America, and with good reason. They use brick cheese, the crust is amazingly crunchy and delicious, and all their toppings are high-quality.

So, it finally opened up. Looking at the prices, everything is really cheap. 5 bux for a large pizza and none the other pies that I saw on the menu were over $10; very nice. First thing I tried out was their Pepperoni Cheese Bread Sticks; it was...lacking. Tasted very supermarket-like and I don't think some of the cheese was melted yet. Very greasy, too. And they didn't even cut it into pieces...

Either way, I'm going to try 'em again. I only order a side dish and not a pizza, so hopefully my first experience isn't like the rest.

You know the Totino's frozen pizzas General Mills sells? We have the original restaurant here in the Minneapolis area (well, it's moved up to Maple Grove now, but still). The in-house stuff is mos def NOT frozen. Best pizza I've ever had, and the rest of the menu is just as good.

Then there's Davanni's, which IS a chain, but only a very small and local one. They do good pizza, but their hoagies are to DIE for.

I've had little ceaser's. It was some of the best pizza I ever had.

Yes, this was pretty good. Small slices, but still only five bux (well $5.44 with sales tax).

I'm a bit worried though, for the pizza shop that's RIGHT down the block from the nearly opened Little Caesar's.
