Apparently Brock Samson really love cheeseburgers.
I just came here to post this link too.
I hereby issue a challenge to the board of /ck/ to make these burgers in consecutive order accompanied by pictures and reviews.
Am I missing something here? I just get a blurb and a logo. No links or anything.
>>1638There are scroll arrows on the side of the tile. Click them to flick to the next burger tile.
>>1644Not on my computer there isn't. :(Are they Flash based?
>>1655I'm gonna say yes. There is also just a slider bar underneath the blurb that you can use if the scroll bars aren't working for whatever reason.
>>1656This is what I see.I'd better try updating Flash.
>>1657Yeah.... yeah probably.
Wow. Adobe really wants to make it hard to use Flash with Firefox...But it works just fine with Opera! And now I'm hungry. Oh so hungry.
>>1629I'll take that challenge. And kick it's ass.
Something really cool for a hamburger to try sometime is one that uses dry aged beef. Most beef basically is aged in plastic packages to let the bacteria eat away at it, it's why when you initially open up a package you get a whiff of some disgusting stuff. Dry aged beef uses some specially designed environments to let the meat age in a dry environment instead to give some really concentrated flavors. So every bite gets you this big hit of intense beefiness that you have to taste to believe.
Number 22 is the best.>>1659Learn to Opera browser.
MY FUCKING GOD.MY MOM JUST MADE THE BEST HAMBURGER IN HISTORY. THE MEAT WAS LIKE BREAD, ONLY IT WAS MEAT, AND IT WAS FULL OF FLAVOR. AND SOOOOO JUICY.
>>1740That's how I know it works in Opera.
I think I've got diabetes now.
I was just about to post this (admittedly late). While a thinly-veiled ad for Wisconsin cheese, it's the epitome of "food porn". Having Patrick Walburtin (sp?) voice each one just makes it awe-inspiring.
Some of these do sound pretty fucking delicious (particularly that thar Miss Daisy), but I gotta say: if it ain't broke, don't fix it. It's hard to improve upon the classics. Onions, tomato, (lettuce optional), cheddar and Swiss cheese, bacon, condiments of your choice (they should be horseradish mustard and jalapeno ketchup, by the way).
>>1928What are you talking about? The obvious choice is ketchup, mustard, red onions, American cheese, bacon and pickles.
>>1928The "Classic" is two slices of toast and a huge chunk of grilled ground beef. No condiments, no veggies, no seasoning, final destination.
>>1931Hamburger meat is traditionally spiced.
>>1932http://www.louislunch.com/lore.htmlThe first Burger had no such nonsense on it. Then again, most people in the 1880s lost their sense of taste at age 7, so it's understandable.
>>1933Hamburger meat was originally from some riders called Tartars (no connection to the sauce I think, though probably helped create beef tartar) that visited the town of Hamburg and would put beef in their saddlebags along with a few spices and the meat would be tenderized as they rode for hours. While at the time they would have just eaten it as is. The Germans just threw in the concept of adding the regional spices and eventually when the Hamburger style meat came to the US the practice of putting it on a bun came about "somehow".
I made the Highwayman and the Casanova a few weeks back with the leftover Ground Buffalo. I couldn't find potato buns, but they were both still REALLY good.
