in jin and zuko's date she tells him"your uncle is a good teacher" after he gives her the coupons, wtf did he teach her??? its always bothered me when ever i watch that episode
You see, Jin is a hooker that Iroh hired for Zuko.I wouldn't be surprised if he gave her a test drive beforehand and taught a few tricks here and there.
>>85015Ehh, I don't see Iroh going for girls that young, even though he had the hots for June. I want >>53102 to be canon.
>>85015> You see, Jin is a hooker that Iroh hired for Zuko. Wow. That makes WAY too much sense.
I think Zuko said something like, "My uncle told me to give you these." He definitely mentioned his uncle just before she said that, and I think Jin meant that Iroh is charming and must have taught Zuko to be suave? Eh, don't remember.
What she's basically saying is without his uncles influence Zuko is an awkward uncharismatic loser.Point, Jin.
>>85022Yes. The exact transcript is:Zuko: I brought you something. It’s a coupon for a free cup of tea.Jin: (Taking the coupon) Lee, this is so sweet.Zuko: (He takes a few steps away from her.) Don’t thank me. It was my Uncle’s idea. He thinks you’re our most valuable customer.Jin: Your Uncle is a good teacher.
>>85039But how does she know so much about Zuko when she barely met him earlier that day? Unless she's been stalking him.....
>>85043What? It was pretty clear from the episode that she had been regularly visiting the tea shop for a while because she liked Zuko.
>>85045But how does she know so much about this personality and his relationship with his uncle? She's freaking stalker.
>>85056>But how does she know so much about this personality and his relationship with his uncle?Uh... What would indicate that she does?
>>85015Cutest hooker EVER.
Asiafag here. Whorehouses all throughout Asia used to double as tea houses, so most of the girls who worked there were also hookers. And if you wanted a girl, all you had to do was ask her out to "tea."
>>85083Well that just further proves what I was saying.Jin was a hooker.
Hooker!Jin is canon to me now.
>>85015I am not sure Iroh would get that desperate that soon, although she would probably have gone further on her own were 'Lee' not so shy.>>85039You speak as if he is neither awkward nor uncharismatic _with_ his uncle's influence.
>>85094Same here!
>:3
>>85507You know who she reminds me of right here? Velma in Mystery Inc.
>>85509oh crap...
>>85507It's the :3 face
Well, although it almost seemed a little "pushy" to me at the time, I do like that Jin wasn't afraid to take the lead with Zuko. She knew what she wanted and went after him instead of waiting for him to notice her. Oblivious as he was, that might have taken a while. Or at least for him to notice her in a normal context anyway, instead of mistaking her for a spy.One problem with the hooker!Jin theory: Why would she wait so long to make her move? Hanging around the teashop for a few days waiting for a client to notice her doesn't seem like something a prostitute would usually do.
