I've been watching the entire series again (needed a way to get shyamalinidinding's failmovie out of my head) and you know what i was wondering? how close they are gonna stick to aunt Wu's prediction for Katara. Wu said katara would have a third great grandchild before quietly passing away in her sleep... after all, she's never been wrong...also, big fan of Korra's physical build. now if only we'd get to see a face...

One pretty big piece of info- Korra IS a miniseries, and Bryke is happy because tha means they can really make an impressive 12 episodes instead of hits and misses like they felt they had with original series. Also, expect Korra to air in LATE fall 2011. I'll update this post with pics when I get home

i'd rather have a series. or a series of miniseries with different topics would be cool too, one set in the past, one directly continuing plot threads from a previous story, etc.but to hear just 12 episodes, with no hint at any more beyond that is a bit depressing.

Many anime series are 26, 13 episode jobs and an OVA or two. Hell, FLCL was only 6 eps and it was influencial enough that Mike and Bryan made it required viewing every member of the staff. Perhaps the brevity of Korra is a nod of sorts to FLCL?

I KNEW there was something fishy about the series taking place in Republic city. I was maybe hoping for tons of flashbacks to her training and maybe Aang talking about their lives after Ozais defeat.Sigh I hope this gets approved for a second season right away as I have the feeling it being a "miniseries" is just to test it's legs for the first season before they commit to more.

i think 12 episodes a SEASON, with maybe 3 seasons would be a perfect forumla. no waste, you can build each season to be great and tell a longer story. but if it's just 12 half hour episodes, well, that's a pretty short legend.
You know what I would love to have happen. If Korra already has a boyfriend at the beginning of the show, and have it be someone from the Southern Watertribe. None of this mixing the elements fire and ice bullshit. Just a nice normal already established relationship. They've known each other for a few years and just started dating a few months before the show started. There done. Just undercut all the shipping crap right from the get go. I can see it now. Korra and Guy McWatertribe are busy spending some time together when she should be training. Tenzin comes casually walking by. "When you're done making out with my father, can you remind her she's supposed to be learning airbending right now."Tenzin walks off with a bemused smile on his face.
