Haven't actually gotten to the chapter yet, but I was going to make a joke along those lines. Not an adult fic or anything, but Toph happens to mention, in an off hand manner, that she pretty much sees everyone naked since clothes don't carry vibrations well.

Of course everyone gets a bit weirded out and Toph doesn't get what the big deal is, it's just the way she sees people.

I've always thought it'd be the opposite, she'd "see" people's bodies blurred by clothing, like when she stood on sand. But that's just an opinion.

If Toph can sense a person's truthfulness through heartbeat, she can probably 'see' their privates pretty easily, I would think.

So since Toph has essentially trained herself in her off time it doesn't mean much. But I agree, the thing in the runaway seems amazing. But we can assume that she associated muscle movements rather than "saw" the pebbles. The only way I can see the log things working is if they were really made of some kind of stone and the marks one each face are indents/bumps and not just painted dots.

The lie-detection can be explained by her being able to sense not only a person's pulse, but the subtle changes in their posture. People tend to fidget when they lie.
