Are there even any males at KataangForever?

I think people need to be reminded that this is just a cartoon.

They're acting like someone just pissed on the Mona Lisa.

They can't be serious...

What's so bad about supporting the show?

Being insane about it, probably.

No.81551
Did anyone do this for the shitty Aeon Fluc movie?

How about all the shitty video game movies?

What makes Avatar so special that it needs this?

These people just need to accept that TLA got thrown on the same pile as the rest of the crappy adaptations.

Pretty much. Plus he is making sequels to throw on top of the crap pile.

This is just retarded.

If hardcore ATLA fans are a little on the crazy side, hardcore Cameron-Avatar fans are downright lock-me-in-a-rubber-room insane.

ATLA are just passion about a good source material. JCA fans are just insane over material that isn't good whatsoever.

>They're acting like someone just pissed on the Mona Lisa.

You better not be comparing a work of art to a piss-poor shitty painting that deserves to have more than shit on it.

Ok, so according to this, we don't have to buy products to support the show.

This mentality is a mistake.

Viacom, the company that owns Nickelodeon and Avatar cares about making money. That's it. They won't care about live journal posts or pretty fan art. They won't care that you show up in full costume at comic con or other conventions. By all means, use these methods to get people interested in the show. But don't say you don't have to buy anything. The only chance we have for more Avatar anything is if we buy Avatar related merchandise. The toys, the DVDs, and the products that sponsor the show.

For example: Firefly had a passionate fan base that wanted to keep the show on the air. The fans took out a full page ad in a major newspaper, swearing that they would continue to buy sponsoring products of the show if it was kept on the air. That was not enough to save the show.

Chuck also had a devoted fan base, but instead of taking out newspaper ads and dressing funny, the fans organized a mass purchase from one of the show's sponsors. On the night of the series finale, the Chuck fans all ran out to Subway and bought $5 Footlongs. It was obviously a coordinated effort by the fan communities, and they let Subway know why they were doing it. The result was Chuck getting a third season.

The lesson to be learned here is that actions speak louder than words. If the goal is to get more content or episodes, then there has to be a point to organizing the fans beyond just wearing flowers or lighting candles. Do all this, but take it a step further and buy something. Think of it as indirectly funding season 4's budget.

Avatar fans are just furries that are latching in to something.

What excuse to ATLA fans have?

Fix'd.

Yeah but the Avatar fanbase has Zutarians, JCA fanbase wins.
