I wonder if this is where they'll put that documentary they've been making for the past year....they interviewed a bunch of fans and some of the show staff at SDCC last year, and suggested it was for a series box set. Maybe the box set's been shelved in favor of special edition season boxes like this one?

This is PERFECT! A few weeks my cat knocked a glass of water over on my Avatar boxsets, watermarking them foreverrr. Also, somehow I lost the Sozen's Comet DVD in book three. I'll give all my old ones to my nephew :D

Okay, so it's marked as in-stock now. The price got bumped up a few dollars, but it's still hella cheap, way cheaper than probably anyone paid for the regular Book 1. Dunno if anyone has it yet; it only shipped yesterday after all.

I saw this at Costco for 24.99 along with books 2 and 3 for the same price. it seemed to be book 1 in a slip cover and a small manga insert. i was kinda upset that it wasnt better designed.

I Just got my copy in the mail.

It's basically just Book 1 plus a preview of the artbook and a bonus content disc.

Since I already have the artbook and Book 1 on iTunes, this was kinda unnecessary...

The only difference between this box-set and the last box set is the box and an extra disc.

The documentary is the ONLY thing on the "exclusive" bonus disc.

Maybe I'm just a bad fan, but this really seems like a complete waste of money. Especially if you already have the first boxset.

I just watched the documentary on the bonus disc, and it is SO- awesome. I bawww'd. I had no idea the Sifu in charge of Toph looked like such a basement dweller. Seriously, picture a stereotypical "I live in my parents basement and beat it to anime/cartoons/vidya gaems" guy. THAT'S HIM! It was impressive to see him fight. I was in awe.

The documentary is very well put-together, full of laughs and US AGAINST THE WORLD business and they mention shipping and it's hilarious. Well worth the money, in my opinion. In the box they also include a small summary of the artbook that was released... but I mean, most fans will have that anyway, right?

What is up with Amazon's massive discounting on the Avatar DVD sets? Do they just want to kill off all other online retailers? Man, they're aggressive with pricing.

Haven't you read the interviews? He's strutting around like it's everybody else that made the mistake. Which is true, if you watched the movie in theaters, you made a mistake.

I'd hold onto optimism for now. It's only approached half it's budget in sales after all the time it's had and the Holiday weekend is over. I'd imagine that something breaking even is still not acceptible enough a return to greenlight more when it's this expensive.

After not getting any answers from Chapters, I've canceled my order and rung up a copy from amazon.ca. Should be here before the end of the month.

Just picked this up today. Has anyone else gotten this. I just have to ask because there really seems to be something wrong with the quality. Did anyone else notice that with their copy. Everything just seems a little fuzzy and out of focus. It's not sharp at all.

I spent about a half hour screwing around with the settings on my TV, but it wasn't that. I even went to a different TV, different DVD player (my XBOX) and still had the same problem. I even checked the episodes on another disc and it looked just as bad.
