That's because Aang and Sokka basically are JD and Turk. And, disturbingly, Katara is a pretty good match for Carla.

Zuko also makes an extraordinary JD alongside Katara's Janitor. I almost shed a tear laughing at -2:22.

For some reason I did not even have to TRY to reconcile The Todd's voice coming out of Jet. It just worked. That was pretty awesome.

But yeah, Janitor Katara stole the show.

No.61058
1) The last AMVs I made were over a year ago.
2) I don't have the Avatar DVDs (Yet)
3) My old-ass editing computer is basically kaput
4) I never made a good render anyway.

All these aside whenever I hear Gnarls Barkley's "Last Time" I can picture Avatar.

Can someone help me out?

  Simply one of the most exquisitely put together AMVs I have seen. Normally I like when they do something more than just paste together clips, but the spacing, timing, and actual video speed of each clip matches the beat, tempo, and melody of the song so well, I can't do anything but call it my favorite.

Not to mention the song itself is just badass.

No.75889
>>75879
I think you need to watch more AMVs. At first I thought I might like it, but grew more and more disappointed with it as it progressed. The song was cool, but the video itself was put together rather poorly. It's a common and amateurish mistake to speed clips up like that. You can justify it for a few scenes, or a certain amount of time, but you shouldn't feel like you're watching everything on fast forward, that just ruins it. It got pretty ridiculous, especially toward the end.

No.75928
  It's a bit hard not to think of Halo with this song now, but this one deserves a chance. Quality is a bit low, but the author (is that the right word?) did some pretty nifty things here with timing, video effects, and such. Also, the "show me the way" line gets me every time when it has Iroh coming to help Zuko in the middle of when he needed him most. Makes me feel good inside.

No.79762
  Bump.

Avatar + Firefly = Very Yes.

Aang = Shepard (Book)
Azula = River
Zuko = Simon
Ty Lee = Kaylee
Katara = Mal
Sokka = Wash
Suki = Zoe
Toph = Jayne (duh)
Mai = Inara (eeeehhh)

Also, just realized you might be "murph", so it could be redundant.

Video's pretty nice. It certainly sparked more emotion watching it than Naruto ever did with that song. Wonder why?

No.80068
>>80056

Yep, that was me. I was just listing the character parallels the AMV used in the spoiler tags.

I guess either way might work, really. The Aang = Shepard connection seemed to fit more than making Aang Wash cuz he's "pilot of the ship".

At first glance, I thought you were talking about Mass Effect, what with Shepard and ship's pilot and all. And that made me wonder who Appa would be.
