Firefox. Its' modularity is more useful than any given enhancement I encountered with Chrome, IE, or Safari.

Haven't tried Opera yet.

Midori works good for me, light and fast. It also has decent built in feature set.

Firefox. I've considered switching to Chrome, but I'm already firmly entrenched in Firefox, and it doesn't seem like it would benefit me enough to offset the pain of switching.

Also adblock doesn't block livestream ads on chrome
>> No. 2913
Firefox. Chrome is good to look up something quick but it's addons are inferior to Firefox's. Opera I always try but there's always something about it I don't like and can't change so I just go back to Firefox.
>> No. 2915
All except Opera.

Work: IE, no choice there due to certain online software built around IE
Home PC/Laptops: Firefox, best in choice for add-ons like NoScript, ABP and Greasemonkey. I'll switch to Chrome depending on site functionality needs, though.
iPad: No choice there.

Currently use Firefox.
I used to use Opera and absolutely loved it though. I'd like to go back, but I know I can rely on Firefox. Firefox is safe. Firefox will always be there for me.

Chrome, I don't give a shit about add ons.

IE9.

Chrome for compatiblity issues with anything else.

Firefox, all dose add-ons.
>> No. 2942
FireFox, I love me some addons. Also Pyro skin.

Chrome is used whenever I have a "questionable" site I want to visit. Opera is used for sites I'd rather not show up in the FF search bar.

IE is used for Pandora just so I can have it open in a separate program and my second monitor.
>> No. 2949
firefox for random browsing but chrome for large video files.

also firefox for somewhat shady sites because noscript is awesome.

chrome NEEDS BETTER ADBLOCK AND A GOOD NOSCRIPT EQUIVALENT.

Both are lacking

My Chrome has the ultimate adblock: I just turned off Flash. My entire internet experience has improved, and the sites I go to that have the decency to use lo-fi adverisements, I'm willing to let them make the money off of me. Since I can put the handful of sites that I actually trust to use Flash properly on a Whitelist, I don't even have to miss out on the extremely rare good Flash content.

Firefox for everything but HTML5 use.

One thing that sorta bugs me about chrome is how I cant stop a page from loading in the first place. Lets say I'm on wikipedia and I click the wrong link to the next page I was planning on reading. I hit stop on firefox and it wont even load in the first place, keeping me on my current page. For chrome I hit stop and it still sends me to the next page, just with no content loaded. Then I hit back to get to the previous page.

Also on my shitty old laptop it doesn't take flash videos being on a different tab too well. I start a youtube video and click on a different tab to read something or refresh a 4chan thread or something then go back to the old page the video was seemingly paused the whole time with the audio still playing. It then jerks back to life trying to get back to the old spot. Or I just get this white box where the video was supposed to be playing for a few seconds.

That sometimes happens to me on Firefox.

What really bugs me though is how the stop button in internet explorer just doesn't work at all when you first start the program up. Thankfully I don't have cause to use IE that much, but there are times i need to start it up to see something and I really don't want to have to wait while it loads whatever home page it's set to.

I moved over to Opera after the Firefox Beta latest release. Have yet to find a better browser. Only bad thing about Opera is the fact it has a file browser from 98 and they need to fix that fast.

I used FF for years, I love its modularity and I'm in favour of open source products.

However, I slowly switched over to Chrome for being fast, light, and supported by almost every page on the web.

Firefox is bloated and slow, version 4 didn't solve either (plus, the new default skin is archaic and ugly).
When they do I'll come running back.

Chrome. Smallest UI, super bar is awesome, and the bookmarking system just works best for me. Though I wish they'd revert back to the old theme and icon, shit is ugly now.

Some people do. I learned to read it because it was there. They should at least leave the option.

When you think about it, the way we do URLs is kind of silly. We reverse the order of specificity halfway through and go back to the start.

(subsubdomain. X Infinity)subdomain.domain.topleveldomain/subfolder/(subsubfolder/ X Infinity)filename.ext

is a pretty silly format for specifying a location. If there were any sense at all, it would either go from specific to general or general to specific from beginning to end. Like http://org.plus4chan.www/b/tek/res/2906.html
>> No. 3269

You can already remove the URL bar in Firefox...but it looks silly, are you sure you mean URL?
>> No. 3278
>>3276
Yes, I'm talking about the URLs. Look at the mockups the guy made; he wants to remove the location bar and replace it with just the main website's URL and a weird breadcrumb indication of your current location. And I meant if they remove it from the stock browser, not if it's possible to remove it.

And yes I know this is just some community guy spouting off his doodles and it will probably never make it to the main browser, but it still pisses me off.
>> No. 3322
I used to use Firefox, but I switched to Chrome a while back. I like it because it lets me see a lot of the page I'm on, and my current computer has gotten really shitty recently, and Chrome seems to be the only browser I have that lets me run other programs at the same time without crashing the damn thing (I really should get a new computer, but I don't have the money). I still use FF sometimes if there's something it does that Chrome doesn't, but not very often. I haven't tried Opera. IE and Safari are ohshitniggerwhatareyoudoing tier.

Firefox. Does everything I need it to do, and has enough room for the fairly large range of add-ons.

Also, I just found out that Workopolis isn't compatible with Chrome. Make of that what you will.

I don't like that Firefox 5 makes some of my addons not work.
This isn't much of a 1.0 upgrade, Mozilla.
This is a 0.5 at best.
>> No. 3495
>>3488
It's not a real statusbar though. It's a floating thingie that doesn't do all the things a real statusbar is supposed to.

On my Firefox I've got some addons that are activated through the statusbar, my gmail notifications are dwn there, and it's got all the page load info and the download bar in there. Everything on Chrome is in the buttons on the top right, and it's starting to get crowded....
>> No. 3511
I just learned that you can make disabled add-ons work again in FF5 by tinkering around with about:config. Right-click and add two new booleans (extensions.checkCompatibility.5.0 and extensions.checkUpdateSecurity) and set them to false. Of course, this disables add-on update security checking, so be warned
>> No. 3512
>>3511
You can also manually edit the extension pretty easily. A lot of the times extensions are perfectly compatible with a new version, but they're not configured for it. If you open the corresponding .xpi file with winrar, there's a file called install.rdf. Open that up with a text editor, look for the firefox section, and change <em:maxVersion>x.x.*</em:maxVersion> (x.x.* being whatever the listed version is) to 5.0.* (for the current version as of this post). Save the file and the archive, then drag and drop into firefox.

Chrome is meant to be a simple, fast browser with a just few extensions. If you're looking for all sorts of extensions, don't use chrome. I have about ten or so extensions installed on Chrome, and only four of them even have a button up in the corner. I only use about three of four of my extensions regularly, and one of those is adblock.

Basically, Chrome = simple and fast, so don't use it if you depend on a lot of extensions.
