I like the idea of Wifi pokemon, I just hate the fact that I never ever seem to get any of them.

Just to be clear, I'm totally okay with the wifi giveaways. I have an issue with GameFreak putting legendaries in the games that can only be ACCESSED by having a special event-only item. That's just unnecessarily dickish to everyone who misses the event.

The pokedex will forever go on unfinished for everyone from here on until the end of time.

Oh yeah. I like the concept of having maybe one pokemon you can only get through events. But almost a dozen? No and sir.

Honestly it's one of the things that pisses me off the most about the franchise. I had all 151 of the gen 1 pokemon back when I was a kid, in an honest to god living pokedex. Had to go to and win an official tournament to get a Mew but it was worth it.

Then Gen 2 came out and I waited years for them to do something to get Celebi but NOPE. And then Gen III and Jirachi and Deoxys and I think at one point I threw my cartridge across the room and ragequit.

I like it a lot better with wifi, if they're gonna do it at all.

I never had a link cable, so until I got a DS, I didn't have a single event Pokemon. On the downside, there's no second save slot, so if I want to play the game again and I have an event Pokemon, I either have to emulate it or buy a second cartridge.

Nintendo was the first company to do on-disc DLC: Mew.

And yeah I hate that stuff. Maybe one or two, but each game now has a freaking dozen "legendary" Pokemon that hide in the forest or something like a little pussy. Just another reason for me to give up the series until they make some radical changes.
