Doesn't look broke to me. The spine can curl inward (flexion) much more than it can curl back, and once you add twisting and a neat angle, you get some really dynamic poses that don't look possible, but are.

One of the things I learned in a figure drawing class was that adolescents are not only more flexible, but that their bones are creepily soft. Stuff like gymnastics start at a young age so that they could maintain their hyperflexing. Girls can also rotate certain parts more, like their arm and back.

Just thinking about this makes me feel I need a stretch.

I've always wondered what it was that was so uniquely hot about his lolis. Then I realised... it's that he captures that tomboyish aspect little girls have when they're at that age. It works. This is what I'm seeing. I think he combined a bending motion and a twisting motion. They aren't even bent all that much, it's just two motions at once that's throwing you off. It's a fucking jazzercize move that I could do it in my chair. This pose isn't even rare, it's something you would see in figure drawing all the time. If you look at the drawing in the upper left, that's a way bigger twist.

I'm guessing on the arms, but there could be a lot of different poses possible because so much is covered up. Brittany could be laying on top of her hand if she has it on her belly. The arm could be behind the back, Family Guy style. It's dumb to say there's no room.

A lot of that comes from the posing and gestures he uses. Just look at the post complaining about brokeback. People are afraid of drawing a little twisting, but that's what makes everything look so alive. Look at that S curve from Brittany's chest to her belly. It's like water.

Jeanette's hips are higher up than that. Her body also is most likely elongated a bit because she is the tallest of the 3.

You're assuming her spine is way too short. She's the tallest, and if you measure it out, her spine should be longer than Britney's and in >>156903 it's not even close. It's not even as long as Eleanor's and she's the shortest. The view is high enough that foreshortening wouldn't be extreme enough to make it seem that short.

Typically speaking, most hentai are cartoony exaggerated faces with realistically proportioned and structured bodies. But it's still cartooning. Simon goes in that direction too. Even the cartoon faces he draws are tightly structured. That's why people keep saying his drawings look real despite there being little rendering.

I'd go so far to say that structure is probably the main difference JP and Western r34. They kind of need to be tight, since they use very thin lines.
