Saying "so real it's unrealistic" is an opinion, just like some people hate skinny or loli or whatever. That's okay. Saying the back is broke is a factual judgement that I think is wrong.

It works. This is what I'm seeing. I think he combined a bending motion and a twisting motion. They aren't even bent all that much, it's just two motions at once that's throwing you off. It's a fucking jazzercize move that I could do it in my chair. This pose isn't even rare, it's something you would see in figure drawing all the time. If you look at the drawing in the upper left, that's a way bigger twist.
I'm guessing on the arms, but there could be a lot of different poses possible because so much is covered up. Brittany could be laying on top of her hand if she has it on her belly. The arm could be behind the back, Family Guy style. It's dumb to say there's no room.
