I have not given up on Paheal completely, I just don't like having to close 10 instances of the same ad every 30 seconds I'm there. It should be thinner in many areas, but I was using a thicker pen tool for the lines and did not feel like varying it. I tend to use thicker brush/pen tools than usual when I am trying to get things done quicker as they require less accuracy/precision, hence thicker lines generally just means less time spent.

There is actually much truth here. It was indeed driving me crazy that the plant was missed, but the main purpose was just to redo the faces a little. In order to get them closer to being on-model it would have been better to redo them completely, but I was feeling lazy as usual. With how quickly I generally try to get things done it is not common for things to be missed so I've kind of gotten over needing to redo things over the tiniest errors although this edit did let me get that damn plant.

I do not normally post anything so incomplete, but I have received some messages over time via Paheal PMs and e-mails requesting to see what my sketches look like. I never felt it appropriate to post incomplete works outside of uncolored lines on Paheal, but I feel it to be fine to post an in-progress piece here. Feel free to correct me if I am incorrect in this assumption.
This here is a layout for another page, this time with more references than the last. I must rest for now but I will likely line this tomorrow and if I have time maybe begin on coloring it. This is essentially what a piece looks like before I line it in Manga Studio (MS), and all I do before this sketch is scribble some layout thumbnails in Photoshop (PS) before importing it over to MS and sketching on top of it. I like to do the sketch in MS because it has awesome perspective tools for doing background layouts quickly. I then do the finished lines in MS (although I sometimes do them in PS as well), sometimes do the coloring in MS but usually PS, then add speech bubbles and text in PS since the text options in MS are horrible.

I did some thumbnails for another page but I then realized I was just not feeling in the mood to finish it so instead I decided to do some quick lines of Julie and Alex. This question was already answered once in this thread at >>128458, but for a tl;dr response I use Photoshop CS5 and Manga Studio EX 4.0. For a longer response, I use Photoshop for sketching and layouts since it has better rotation, move and transform options, for dialog since it has better text options and for backgrounds since it has vastly superior brush options. Manga Studio pretty much just for its superior line tools and its awesome ruler options, particularly the perspective rulers. Generally I just use whichever I think will get the best results the quickest for each particular step.

You're welcome. I may actually touch up the image a bit and color it later since it did not turn out too bad for what it was. As for text balloons I find the best trick in Photoshop is to create a new layer below the text layers but above every other layer and add the Stroke fx/Layer Style to the new layer. You can then just use the shape tools and/or brush tool and draw the shape of the balloons in white and it will automatically add a black line around the white shapes at whatever designated thickness you set for the Layer Style. This works great since you can reshape/resize the white objects and the stroke will automatically adjust.

I believe Vol 3 is the only "Power Pack" (with no additions to the title) that's part of the Marvel Adventures Gurihiru series.

Vol 1 is the original series from the 80s, which isn't bad for its time but certainly has a different vibe and is artistically completely different. Could be worth a look if you're actually interested in the concepts and characters (and there's plenty of scenes that can lead to good rule 34), but it's not necessary if you're more into the new stuff. Vol 2 is a very brief mini from around 2000, picking up a couple years after the original and not very good at all, either as a sequel or stand alone.

Vol 3 is the separate continuity and the first done in this distinctive art style.

I was pretty busy all day so due to lack of time again here are more lines. I'll get around to coloring things eventually just as soon as I get more time. I've added another seasonal job to my schedule just recently so it'll be a little more difficult to find the time to color but I'll try to maybe find time over the weekends. I just much prefer to use the time I currently do get throughout the week to work on a few line pieces as opposed to throwing down colors.

Noted. You see I'm a sucker for two things - triumph and love. Nothing gets me going (non-sexually) as seeing a young person (especially a boy like Alex or Jack) tearing through arrogant enemies, demons, devils, warriors or whatever comes their way. I worship strength and conquerors. Which brings me to love, for love/death conquers all. To explain my view of the love/death thing would require an essay at the very least, so let's skip that.

So, the new story is focused on Julie's love for Alex, how it came to be and how the two got together. There is drama but no violence or deviantartesque cutting or that usual crap people nowadays associate with longing. I'm mentioning that just in case people get worried again. I won't fuck this up. Gonna pay some attention to Jack & Katie too, though my pure loli drive seems to be lacking in recent times.

Yeah, it's not set in any existing superhero universe, but I have an ongoing story serial about two siblings (one of whom is named Alex, in a deliberate nod towards the Pack) who discover that they get powers from acts of unprotected incest (at the start, they've been experimenting for a while but never under the conditions that would allow them to discover their powers. How that side of their relationship grew is developed gradually through flashbacks), and decide to become superheroes. I don't claim to be a great writer, but it's fun for me and some people seem to enjoy it.

It does get a little purpley at times... of course, I tend to think mine's the opposite, too plain, so maybe I'm not one to talk, and I can see a little what the other anon about the characters seeming to be obsessed with "strength", with the comments of wanting to be dominated by him and considering other boys eunuchs and weaklings feels like it speaks to your own perception of the world, which is great, but it doesn't really match how I personally see the characters. Of course, in the end, its your story to tell.

The only other thing I'd suggest is that you do a lot of 'telling' why Julie loves Alex, when ideally you'd be showing her reacting to these qualities as they appear. I make the same mistake a lot, but when I do it, I do it from a first-person perspective, so you can excuse it as the person telling the story... when it's done third-person, it seems to stand out more, and in general gives the feeling of skipping over stuff rather than living through it. This being the first chapter, that may have been your intention, though... have the backstory appear but get it out of the way quickly so you can deal with the emotions of the main plot in a more visceral, live way.

Yes, writing is a lot of work, even if you just do it for fun. I think it's probably plenty of work even for the type that you mentioned, read by the pretentious, since even scribbling cliches takes a lot of effort to put in your own words and weave it into a larger work. It's just they get a lot more acclaim for their work. I write porn, so I don't really expect acclaim aside from the occasional bit of reader mail.

Since I'm now somewhat rested I'll elaborate a bit. First off English isn't my mother tongue and I think purple prose is the result of that. Somewhere along the line it became my definition of how "proper" English should sound like. This I think is also because my language is so incredibly diverse and with so many dialects that you can't possibly imagine. Our "official" version of the language is vastly different from the way we actually talk. Two speakers of their local dialects can barely communicate (if not at all) unless they resort to the official, book & media version of the language. Since the official version is the language of books I figure my brain tried to copy this whole relationship into English.

The fact I read much more old stuff only added fuel to this fire. Lovecraft and so on.

As for Julie's desire for being dominated I think I just failed as a writer. It was my intention to show her most intimate thoughts and fantasies which don't necessarily mean she wants to be roughed up at all. She wants a healthy and vigorous pounding in any case but I wasn't trying to imply sadism/masochism. The sex between Jack and Katie in the second chapter pretty much shows how I like it to go, and since I'm shameless and don't care about my reputation I will say that the majority of my work is actually loli scat fiction with femdom overtones. I take male domination as a fact and thus write about girls being in charge because it amuses and delights me. This is also because I'm a pretty big fellow with a hairy chest and bulging muscles. No gym rat mind you, just backbreaking manual labour. Likewise regular porn just bores me. Needless to say I also really love women and despise feminism. I use fiction (the above mentioned femdom kind) as a means of worshipping the Eternally Feminine, because I'm also a batshit insane occultist. Thus the perpetual mentioning of victory, triumph, power and thunder is yet another way of lifting my eyes upwards towards Absolute God, who is male. Thus love, thus surrender and union of the opposites from which Existence springs forth. In short, sex.

Needless to say in real life I'm vanilla.

As for my narration it's just the way I write. It's my style. I also mentioned that I think my dialogue is creaky and just not good.

I'll read your story when I find the time. Writing this fic consumes most of my free time. I'm not complaining though, I enjoy writing it.

Next chapter introduces Melusine into the mix. Time for some sex magic with a purpose. Jack and Katie will continue will their little play from the very start of it; Alex and Julie will talk and so on. I plan for some good old ACTION too.

I'm still just writing porn you know, not a manifesto or something. Try my second chapter which has Katie/Jack action. I'm actually interested to hear your opinion. As far as I can see I was "absent" from that and the chappy went along smoothly.

As for fetishes this story is intended for everyone and doesn't go into weird shit. The sole place where I post my stranger tales is entirely populated with people who are into it. They're an odd but amusing bunch and I like them.

Do you have any idea how much time and effort goes into quality art? A person can only spend so many hours (and hours) working on artwork for no compensation without getting burnt out. It's a hobby, not their job, and not everyone wants to spend all their free time doing one thing.

I have to agree. I'm not into pregnant pictures so this pic really doesn't do it for me. The artwork itself is amazing, this artists is great, but I wish that artists would take into account the varying tastes of their audience. At the end of the day it is their pic, obviously, and their right to make it look however they want, but fetishes like this are very limiting, I like it better when artists do variants, seeing this picture with the characters un-impregnated would be AWESOME!

The pregnant pics just ruins it for me. I would rather see more of Alex and Julie having sex more than seeing a little girl getting pregnant.

Critical failure. It seems I have trouble writing longer stories, and to be blunt I took a bite I can't chew. Arguably my fail in the writing department also had to do with RL issues which simply swarmed me from all sides. I hate myself for not finishing the story, and I truly did want to do a good Julie/Alex fic with a side of everything.

I WANT to do a Julie/Alex fic, and eventually I will. I like them both and I think they're awesome, but I feel that I must come up with a completely different story for WWOEC (or the /co/ crowd; basically the same good folks) just so that I don't seem like more of a jackass. Melusine deserves a proper go as well, but that's only something I vaguely feel that has to be done in the far future.

I should've been more reasonable. I actually wrote a shitload of fapfics in the good old days under an evil nom de plume and I should've known by now that I'm more suited to longer oneshots than multichapter stories.

i made that particular edit. and a number of others.

how it came about? on /co/ somebody did it as an exploitable... all the text removed and just Katie's "ewww" left in, so people could add their own dialogue. a few people did different variations, and i was one of them. i found it really fun, so I went a little overboard, including a lot of different pages from the comic and sometimes editing the actual art (for example, there's a series of the 'eww' comic with Katie talking to adult-Julie instead of adult-Katie that i made, and a few other variations).

as to why incest?

well, i LIKE incest. there's no specific incest hinting in the series that i'm aware of (although there were a few times Julie was naked in front of her siblings... there was a plausible explanation each time... it happened most often when she had the cloud powers, which left clothes behind if they weren't her special costume, but it's a bit eyebrow raising), i just think they make a good incest couple, and apparently others agree since i've seen a few other incest edits, porn, fictions, and other such things over the years.

The inherent joy of incest as depicted in fiction, and the often expressed desire towards it through these edits, stories and so on has for its root a philosophical explanation. There is a very specific reason why men like the idea of incest with a sister/mother, and it is quite a legitimate and I dare say obligatory reason if one understands the why and goes beyond mere carnal lust. I however will not elaborate on this.

Like your art work, I enjoy the ones with older brother doing little sister.
