The problem is that no one seems to know how boob physics work.

How did Luffy get that scar, again..? I don't see how Akainu's arm going through Jinbe's body can burn Luffy a little. Or at all. And why is Jinbe still alive when Ace couldn't take the same attack?

Thank you for giving me the chance to post something other than complete bullshit this week.

Luffy received his new scar here. Akainu's fist passed completely through the left side of Jinbe's torso, where the left lung would be on a human. Looking at this picture, his hand either went all the way through Jinbe and grazed Luffy's skin, or just barely failed to reach. Either way, the flames that surround it were easily close enough to burn him.

You can see the affected area a bit clearer on this page. A normal human wouldn't survive that, but Jinbe isn't exactly a normal human, or even fishman. Him being one of the burliest pure physical fighters in the One Piece world, combined with Law's surgical expertise, is probably what saved him.

Alternate answer: blubber shield.

Listen you. I may have a non-reputation as a dude who is pretty good at going back and picking out specific pages to check specific details, but shirtless Jinbe is where I draw the line.

His coat covers it. The part that would peak out was just a first degree burn, which he treated well enough that it's impossible to notice. Done.
