I dunno! I keep making his face, like, longer than it is. He has this HUGE forehead and I keep wanting to compensate for that by make the rest of him that long or something. Sometimes it comes out better than others, but he never looks like Zoro to me. Pic are two OLD (!!!) drawings, but you get the idea.

I think I already see your problem. It is the shape of his hair line, you have it curved where it goes at right angles. I think his face looks fine from what I've seen. The hairline should fix a lot of it

it happens to all of us. In which case for me it turns into "let's see how many heads I can fit on this canvas" kind of thing. You could always try just starting to draw a character with some expression (happy, sad, angry, embarrassed) and then, perhaps decide why they are that expression as you draw it?
