Doug Jones Martian Manhunter is the only one that actually looks good.

That's actually not that weird. In fact, it's a position that's officially supported by the catholic church and released by the pope's chief astronomer.

Yep, which gives me no end of glee...and worry. They basically said that foreign species and worlds can follow/do follow the same general beliefs. Add that to Iranians wanting into space and I can see it now - Religious Space Race: Which group can gain more converts in the universe?

So yeah, now the highest grossing film of all time that isn't directed by James Cameron. And when inflation is ignored.

I stopped caring about that record back when it was broken like two times a year for three straight years. Seemed like every time you turned around they were talking about how some new superhero flick was the highest-grossing film of all time.

i just realised that if they hadn't gone with ultimate Nick Fury the film would have been a near complete whitewash

I simply loved Tony and Banner together. I just loved how Tony was genuinely nice to him.
>> No. 33515
>>33514
Yeah, it was great to see Tony showing respect to someone and not have it be setting them up for a dig or something. The very fact that he recognizes Banner as an equal is pretty heartwarming, because he doesn't even see people he likes as his equal.

THIS. I loved how Tony zeroed in on Bruce as a science bro almost immediately. I also loved how Tony flat out admires the "Big Guy" side of Bruce and isn't afraid of him whatsoever, going so far as poking Bruce in a teasing manner and then having that little heart-to-heart later. I also found it interesting that Tony had so much faith that Bruce would show up to the fight at Stark Tower, even though nobody else could figure out 1) where Bruce had landed as Hulk once he was out of the helicarrier or 2) how Bruce/Hulk would get to Stark Tower for the fight; Tony just had the faith that Bruce would show up.

Oh right, I saw Winter Soldier last Saturday.
Its real good, better then Ironman 3 do to a lack of bullshit but it cant beat Thor 2's black-brit-viking god stapping a spaceship to death.
Yeah I'm not much for the "spy" side of Marvel.
Also the bad guys had a major flaw in their plan!
They put the Hulk on their kill list.
Anyway, cant wait for the easteregg screenshots or GotG.

Not a flaw: it would have caused even more collateral damage.

Plus, I am not sure exactly WHAT could he do against Hydra. I mean, it's not like he could reach the Helicarriers in low orbit, or do the investigative work Cap and his pals did.

He could throw rocks at it.

Does Movie Hulk follows the comic rule of the angrier, the stronger?

TIH had two occasions of the Hulk getting angrier and stronger.

Well, not all of Hydra would be floating, so he could just track down their ground bases and wrecked shit.

Maybe Banner-side would manage to lure them to a mountain range or something that he could leap off of to get on board.
>> No. 40158
It occurs to me that if Hydra managed to fully take over SHIELD's assets, they would have access to the Abomination.
>> No. 40240
Man, one week from the end of the first season, and SHIELD still feels wholly underwhelming.

It just seems like they decided to basically ignore the potential of being set in the Marvel universe as much as they could, and populated the show with characters that were just kind of dull.
Even Tripp coming in to the later end of the season with a briefcase full of oldschool Spygear wasn't terribly exciting.
>> No. 40242

Yea biggest thing that should have been The Hoff as Nicks half brother and the field team leader and then BETRAYAL HAIL HYDRA. Really Wheadon should have been told no when he wanted to load the show with his standard Archetypes
>> No. 40245
>>40242
For good or ill, Whedon wrote and directed the pilot and that's pretty much the whole extent of his involvement in the show. If someone is to be blamed for the suckage, that would be Jed Whedon.

He co-wrote Dr. Horrible, right? Solution: Captain Hammer joins the Agents of SHIELD and they have to face the Evil League of Evil.
