Also, there's so much about Act I that I understand better now. For instance, "Funeral For A Son" always seemed a bit of an odd song. I felt like it breaks up the flow coming off the first song and was a bit empty. But, seeing it live, when K.I.L.R.O.Y. carries the helmet through the crowd, it makes perfect sense and didn't break the flow at all.

it was the best night ever, yet i feel kinda short changed. they were the last act and everything was running late so they crashed into the closing of the bar. 5 minutes after the last song security tried to boot, even the people in line for signings. turbo lover was the only one manning the stall at that point and he wasn't impressed.

still

best. night. ever

Oh man, I got to hold the for reals Joe helmet at Nerdapalooza. They were packing up after the second show that weekend, and the helmet was just lying on the stage. One "HEY PANTHER" later and he was letting me and about ten other dudes look the thing over while they finished packing everything up. Very cool.

AS IS YOURS.

Had an idea for that.

Goes like this:

Wily tries to one up Light by making a better Mega Man/Proto Man via Bass. (My Forte)

Sentience unfortunately comes with it, and while a lethal enforcer, and arrogant in his superiority, he comes to realize how alone he is as his uniqueness also isolates him from the cold, thoughtless automatons that populate Wily's army. (Above the Line)

Bass chances upon a broken, destitute Light. He then demands that Thomas build him a companion, an equal, with which to fight the coldness of his existence ala Frankenstein (the Bride demand from the original story). (Gold and Blue)

Light complies by creating Roll, who Bass excitedly brings to his quarters in the innermost chambers of Wily's castle. He realizes too late, his elation blinding his senses, that Light has installed a veritable nuke in this beautiful creature. Bass knows that he can disable it by destroying Roll right then and there, but her innocence and warm demeanor stop him. They tenderly embrace as the bomb detonates, destroying the castle and Wily too. (A Trick of the Light)

Light admires his handiwork from the distance, unsure of what to feel when Rock comes into the picture. He expresses distaste in what Light did, going so far as to say that since the people did nothing to get rid of Wily on their own, then history is doomed to repeat itself. Light is too broken and tired to care, telling a departing Rock that he now knows what it feels like to lose a brother. (Ashes to Dust)

The album closes with a heavily damaged Bass, wandering the earth. He muses that Wily built him a little too well and is bitter of having survived and outlived Roll. Though ostensibly going on to find one final battle to end his life (preferably against Mega Man), he takes comfort in the fact that for one, brief, priceless moment in time, he knew what it felt like to love and be loved. Memories of which he will continue to cherish and recall till his final hour. (Roll Credits)

That's my idea, just putting it out there.

Unfortunately, one of the Protomen has expressed a heavy dislike for the character, so we might not see him in any future albums.

edit: I fucked up the formatting. DO-OVER!
WARNING: FANWANK INCOMING

Personally, I think that The singer is Roll, who in this case isn't a robot, but Joe's daughter (her mother being the girl Joe kissed-although she was apparently ignoring him the whole evening, there's nothing saying they didn't have a prior relationship beforehand. Hell, it might explain why she was ignoring him that evening. Roll's mother will (spurred by the massacre after 'the sons of fate') tell Roll of her father's heroic death to defy wily, inspiring her to go in search of light and megaman and perhaps form a resistance group to back him up. she may even don Protoman's old helmet like her father did the Sniper's.

I have no justification for this other than a)it would be a sly shout out to Legends, b)Light would probably be so emotionally drained that I don't think he has it in him to build another robot child to lose all over again c)it follows on from the origin of Joe in Act II and d)The three colours most associated with Roll (other than her hair) are Red, White and Green.

Feel free to pick this apart, just throwing it out there.
