well this pretty much IS the end, really
no updates for months, and then a bunch of far between flashes to round the whole comic up
ah well it was nice knowing you /mspa/

The second coming of The Great Hiatus is upon us.

Oh well, see you in a few months /mspa/. Hussie has always been bad with time estimates so it'll probably be longer than just a few months, though.
>> No. 72195
"The flash with John yesterday was a metaphor for how the fandom will deal with the hiatus.
Likewise, John's face in "END OF ACT 6 INTERMISSION 5" is the visual representation of how the fandom will react when Homestuck starts again."
>> No. 72196
Sigh. So next act is likely the last, then we get a brief epilogue. There are so many things left unanswered and unresolved though. I guess some things we'll just be left guessing forever :(

last i checked the comic wasn't over
besides whatever it is you think went unanswered was probably explained and you simply didn't catch it

He said when we come back, we'll be in Act 6 Act 6. Assuming Act 6 emulates the format of the comic as a whole (which is looking more and more likely, since this hiatus apparently matches up with Cascade, which was itself followed by a big hiatus), there'll probably be a relatively short Act 6 Act 7 after Act 6 Act 6, then a final, relatively short Act 7. But Act 6 has been the longest Act so far by a long shot, so chances are Act 6 Act 6 will be quite long as well.

Not quite yet.
>Work on a whole bunch of regular updates for A6A6, leading up to the end of HS.
If we assume three months and an average of five pages per day that's almost 500 pages right there. That's more than a pre-Act 5 Act.

And we are back with the creepy glitchy shit.
>> No. 72346
cartridge is full of junk eh? John's gone missing too?

Well, when a cartridge is dirty, you should blow in it, right? Maybe John 4th walled out of there and is now in caliborn's den?
>> No. 72347
Goddamn. Before the glitchy shit started that flash was looking amazing. It had the same "oh daaammn" quality of Cascade. Really loving how creative Hussie is with his panels lately

>> No. 72350
>>72348
Scratch is dead. As >>72346 suggested, the hot theory of the moment is that John will have to use the windy thing on the cartridge to blow the gunk out like an NES game.
>> No. 72351
So what I pieced together is this:

* Jade at some point kicked John in the face.
* Jade at some point faced Jane.
* Jane at some point stood in front of a control panel with GCat.
* Jade rode the meteor through a defense portal, arriving at some point near the end of the Alpha universe and was preparing to move the entire planet Earth.

We know this Earth is the same one on which the cherubs grew up, so it looks like Jade was the one who rescued it from the Red Miles. But to where did she move it? And what happened to her after she did so? And where's John?

>>72351
I want to say she moved Earth to one of the Troll universes. Based on the fact that Calliope and Caliborn's father is seen nuking the canon fantrolls and this took place in the same universe as that Earth.

As for how she moved it to a dead universe I have no idea, but this webcomic is no stranger to weird paradox time shit.
>> No. 72353
>>72351
The control panel in question appears to be an ectobiology apparatus comparable to the one used to create Bec, and she has the BARK code with her, so it's currently believed that was her creating GCAT.
>> No. 72354
>>72352
A dead universe is just a universe that has an end. Doesn't mean it doesn't exist, as a whole. I mean, the transportalizers also exchange matter with a dead universe.
>> No. 72355
Huh. The meteor group's branch has been blocked out of the story flow. I wonder if that was intentional or just another oversight.
>> No. 72356
well hopy shit. If Roxy gets good enough at her aspect, they won't even need some bullshit magic ring to bring everyone back to life! She could just un-void them back by imagining hard enough. More reasons why Roxy is best human :3

>you're the most powerful one, Jake

>> No. 72358
>>72356
Well Jade said almost anything. I'm guessing the "almost" covers the dead and Jujus, probably.

I thought creation was going to be Jake's deal though, makes me wonder what his powerset will be. Must be good though, condy's trying to recruit him right away.

(I hope Roxy and Dave meetup and sbahjify the shit out of everything with Roxy's powers)
>> No. 72360
Well, I guess if you give your characters entirely vague titles, it's perfectly understandable that you would bullcrap your way into giving them whatever power you like.
>> No. 72361
Huh, I was thinking that kind of power would require finding some non-real version of a thing, like a hologram of ghost version, to steal the void from rather than simply willing it to exist, though I guess that actually is more what Jake does? I'm thinking the major difference between titles is in the methods used to accomplish goals, even or perhaps especially when there's a lot of overlap in the results of their actions.
>> No. 72363
Grimbark Jade's sprite art looks creepy in a real bad way.
>> No. 72364

I'm wondering why Hussie thinks he needs another way of making things appear out of nowhere when he already has alchemy.
>> No. 72365

Can you alchemize quest beds for the rest of the living trolls? *possible hint*
>> No. 72366
>>72364
It's to get around the problem of needing things that are too costly to alchamize (ie. the matriorb) to advance the plot. Also it's a development challenge for one of the main characters, who must master this new ability.
>> No. 72367
>>72360
You're acting as though this is a surprising interpretation of Roxy's title. I thought of it pretty much the first time I heard her title, but wrote it off because I couldn't figure out the logistics at the time.

>> No. 72369
I would presume stealing the void from objects would have the cost of increasing one's own void, and thus decreasing one's significance/existence, as opposed to a maid of light which I speculate would have some sort of regenerating light stipend. Though I suppose a void player could seek out other ways of acquiring light to compensate for the increased void?

>Dave's ramblings still in a dialoglog and not a monolog

Missed a trick there, Hussie. And this whole little bit is showing how much Dave's changed really. He would've never laughed out loud in the earlier acts. He seems a lot more open now.
>> No. 72373
Hold the fucking phone. Is this actually the first time these two have ever met?? Holy shit.

We saw Jade fight Jack alongside Dave in the header in the Doc Scratch pages and also kiss him to revive him
