Pretty obviously from Alpaca Rose, I think. Beta Rose's scarf was solid pink, and we saw it get all the way to Beta Mom, to be taken and then discarded by Bec Noir after her death. Also, we've seen how much energy it takes to send or receive things beyond the scratch; this scarf didn't take so much energy.

I don't know how to feel about these Kid Ancestors. On the one hand it would be interesting to see how they were like, but on the other-hand they could really bog the story down in my opinion. I wouldn't have mind seeing them in a flashback that explained what happened to them by Kindfang, but to introduce all of them would take too much time.

I agree. She has already admitted to knowing a lot about the Teens' world, lives, personalities and future to the point of actually writing fanfiction about them. I'm thinking she might be a troll from the "new" session they all will enter ~*"afterwards"*~ (and let's face it, Kanaya repopulating that universe with trolls is gonna happen), which would explain how she knows so damn much about them all. She's probably just trying to insert herself into their story as the thirteenth troll, which is something writers of fanfiction are quite well-known for.

Considering that the words in Homestuck are almost all dialogue (which tends to be much more information-dense than narrative) and LotR was very dialogue-light, and that Homestuck establishes setting and quite a bit of action through visuals, it's not really a fair comparison.

There's a LOT more content in Homestuck than there is in Lord of the Rings. By the time it's done, there will probably be more than in even much more sprawling novel series - arguably more than in ANY single-narrative novel series. (I'm not counting novel-length serials that run for hundreds of books, but don't have a single narrative thread running through them.)

Whether you consider that a good or bad thing is, of course, up to you. ;)

Also, Hussie is totally cheating with the length of Act 6. Bet you dollars to cents he "won't count" the Intermissions when comparing it to Act 5.

Probably from paying attention to the narrative and the interactions between its 8 or 9 planes of existence, as well as within each plane of existence, that only sort of obey the laws of causality (and not double posting). Believe it or not, a lot of people would (and do) find it all a little confusing.

Give a little credit where credit is due. Figuring out where and when things in Homestuck are happening and how they affect other things is something of a tangled mess if you haven't been following carefully from the beginning and have yet to wear out ALL of your good note taking pens. Some of us can remember everything without having to "study" the material more than once, but that's fairly rare among the fandom, much less the general population.
