Depends on how it's made and the frosting underneath it. That store-bought fondant from Wilton's brand is gross as hell and I agree with you guys there. However homemade fondant using marshmallow as the main ingredient taste much, much better and is excellent when it goes over homemade chocolate or lemon frosting. It's just a bit tougher to work with than the store bought stuff since it's a bit more delicate and it doesn't have as much corn syrup as the fondant at the stores.
