Mindfang was one of the few who left clues for her descendent, advice, guidance. And despite everything, I feel like Spinneret would’ve been happy with her spiderling. Not only did Vriska manage to keep her lusus fed, mess with noble Seadwellers, and damage those around her, she, like Mindfang, realized her path was wrong- they were both damaged by underestimation. And ultimately, Vriska died doing what she believed was the right thing. I think Mamafang would be pretty pleased with how that shook down.

This brings up a good question about non-SGRUB troll biology. If every troll supposedly has a single ancestor that contributes most if not all of their genetic material to them, then what's the point of making the mixed up slurry? It all ends up mostly separating anyway.

No it's a myth to trollkind in general like many that spring up even in rl, it only holds any truth biologically for the trolls playing sgrub. That's what I was pointing out.
As for where it first came from they live in a world manipulated by Doc Scratch and that had a historical figure who remembered the previous universe, who knows exactly where it first started.
