Not really, the lowbloods have the advantages of being more fit and psychic powers while the highblood has nothing to back him up other than cultural bias. I would think that unless the troll in question was a usefull member of the team (Space/Time player), had a terrifying lusus, or wasn't a complete dick he'd be unable to survive a game of SGRUB alone or be cappable on the front lines of battle.

but yo actually it does make sense because like, people can be fat. people can be fat despite other people in their social class being predominantly thin, and they can be fat despite being fit and leading active lives (cause fat doesn't equal weak you know).

both the higher and lower echelons of troll society have it equally hard for different reasons, while the midbloods may be the best off because they are too low for bullshit highblood politics but too high for lowblood oppression to affect them. i don't think it is possible to come to a conclusion of overall fitness of a caste. the lusus' behaviour is the biggest factor in lifestyle in this caste, moreso than social pressures.

a troll who needs to hunt other trolls to feed her constantly hungry lusus? probably fit but not necessarily trim. a troll who is protected by her lusus and does not need to do fuckall for it except occasionally swim down with a carcass her friend shot down for her? probably less fit than the first troll, but not necessarily fat. do you get this division between activity and body shape? i hope you do because it's not hard to understand.

basically what i am saying here is that if you want to make an obese troll ok cool, no "research" required.

So are there any unspoken (or spoken)rules about picking a blood color? I'm making a troll based on Vulpecula which is located somewhere between sagittarius and capricorn. I figure Prussian Blue would be a suitable color but maybe something with a bit of violet would work too? What would be a good color that's a few shades below indigo?

i think it's really clear at this point that you inherit the sign of your closest known ancestor; it's basically their last name printed onto their shirt in the form of a logograph. the canon trolls of course had blood colours that matched their ancestors but i suppose, for people born the natural way, the colour doesn't necessarily correspond to the symbol. there might be aries trolls with green or blue or indigo blood too.

(of course for there to be other aries trolls it means the handmaid got it on with somebody and had natural kids; otherwise the handmaid and aradia are in a closed circuit and NO ONE but the troll characters we know would have zodiac symbols. the ancestors may have created their own symbols or stolen them to give themselves an identity.)

I was personally thinking of making a fantroll with neon yellow blood (that'd be what...? lowish-midlevel on the hemoscale?), six nubby little horns, telekinesis and heterochromia (probably orange and blue eyes) I was thinking of giving him a giant snapping turtle turtle for a lusus and probably having his hive be built on the turtle's back. His hive can serve as the perch for a second troll's luss and him and the other troll would probably have to help the giant-snapping-turtle-lusus navigate the enormous mangrove swamp they live in.

So I've been going on http://msparp.com/ lately because that's the magic place people can go to escape all their troubles and it's a good place to flesh out my fantroll Lampra, the insomniac burglar with self-esteem issues. I just had this run-in with an Equius roleplayer that went pretty well, especially after he brought in a friend to roleplay as Nepeta. They kind of went off the rails at the end, but it was still pretty fun.
