To be fair, what makes Griffith so vile is the nature of those deaths. Keep in mind that while these guys were loyal to Griffith and would die for him, Griffith simply took away their right to choose and discarded their lives on a whim. That is such a horrible betrayal that any leader figure can do to their followers. Then there's the fact that he literally fed them to demonic monsters. And though isn't a favorite, she was indeed raped first by his minions and then by he himself just to piss off Guts and corrupted the fetus of their child.

If humanity cannot see what a piece of shit their "messiah" is if they get exposed to the truth, then I hope Berserk somehow ends with all humans except a minority alive who side with Guts.

Here's a thought, what if Guts somehow manages to pull a Solid Snake and Stealth Kills Griffith without alerting anyone? Like a surprise development that the ruler was assassinated and that's it, Guts hides in the shadows with no one figuring out who murdered Griffith.

Isidro is kind of a dumbass and Puck whom started as a decent character to lift Guts mood has become a lame caricature that cannot ever stay drawn on model anymore......though in a weird way I'm glad for that. Do we really need to see Puck drawn to look like a female fairy? He's more feminine than Ivarella when not doing slapstick. And.....why the fuck is he naked while Ivarella wears clothes. Oi Miura should have taken a note from Zelda and just make Puck a formless ball of light.

But we do know a bit about the other 4 God's Hand members. Remember how they acted when Griffith sacrificed the Band of the Hawk? When Griffith raped Casca and destroyed her mind while Guts was worked up into such a frenzy that he cut his own arm off?

They said: "So beautiful, these feelings that draw near. Love, hate, pain, pleasure, life, death. Everything is there... This is human... This is demonic!"

They might have a master plan for Griffith, but they're watching for entertainment. I bet they can't really feel emotions anymore. They need something as extreme as the Eclipse to get their kicks. Otherwise, no feelings "draw near."

That's why I don't think Griffith will be the messiah for long. He'll get bored soon enough. Like, for example, someone on 4chan who starts off with standards and ideals, but then inevitably descends into shitposting.

Puck is androgynous like all Piskie and due to his being a Chestnut Piskie his more comedic form resembles his origin from a Chestnut, Evarella doesn't actually wear a dress that is her skin, she is a flower Piskie, as such her comedic form resembles the stem of a flower with her being so thin and noodly. They aren't even the same "race" with Evarella joking often how disgusted she is that Puck is even similar to her.

Griffith's effeminate appearance is both purposeful and significant, in Medieval times effeminate traits were viewed extraordinarily highly, for example powdered wigs, rouge, cheek blush and all sorts of those types of things were used by royalty to exalt a kingly air, Griffith naturally has all those qualities from his pale skin to his white hair to his hawk like eyes.

EVERYTHING about Griffith falls in line with those traditions which place so much importance on that kind of appearance, during his torture scene it is remarked his beauty is "all the way to the bones" that being foreshadowing that Griffith, no matter what, is through and through royalty.

Caska's rape was awful in the CG movie. She was too blushy and somewhat smiley so it looks like she enjoyed it. Plus they made Griffith obviously evil by having him show a sinister generic anime smile right before he said:

"I sacrifice"

In the manga and in the old anime Griffith maintained a more passive and neutral facial expression to make him more amoral during that segment while only pushing into flat out immoral when he personally starts raping Caska.

That said if the fan theories are right and Caska did enjoy the rape with Griffith and upon being restored goes back to his side, I will rage and no one would fault Guts for going for another chick. All the years of Guts' (and the readers lives) wasted like that? Miura would do well to be careful there.

Which is funny because I stopped caring about such eye candy a long time ago. I just want progress and closure. Say what you will, but I was glad Kishimoto abandoned the shading and detailed art in Naruto after the Zabuza arc just to give us consistent releases. I wouldn't mind going back to Berserk's more "inkblot" style that it used to have (think like during the Rosine fight).

If only, that way we wouldn't have to suffer and wait anymore knowing that Berserk is (for better or worse finished). The big problem is how aimless the story has been for such a long time mixed with the horrible pacing (not Miura's release). It also doesn't help that what's going on in the story isn't even very good, the pirates and Sea God arc and the mini-flashback fairy arc were just bleh.

All in all its obvious Miura doesn't care anymore and is taking his sweet time. I used to be sympathetic towards what I was told about him and his bad life (supposedly since none of us has ever met the man), but after a certain point the sympathy well dries up and now I don't care. I want his bosses to FORCE him to have assistants to get quicker releases (and that's provided he has done a lot of chapters and is nonsensically holding out on us) and any resistance that he offers is met with his ass fired.

I just don't like Berserk as much anymore to put up with Miura's issues or crap.
