I have a silly idea that someone should run with it.

What if there was this team of magical girls who worked together and saved the world a long time ago and one of the girls stays in the magic girl game while the others move on with their lives. Then years later the magic girl comes back and tries to get the gang back together. The girls are in their 30's/40's and have their own families and careers and things and they have to come back and defeat the evil that's reviving themselves.

Also it's really important for the women to not turn back into girls when they transform. Is this a decent idea?

Was it the gigantic tits and ass, or the same-face come-hither look with blush and watery eyes normally indicative of hay fever?

Possibly both?

Yeah, both.
Specially since I feel there isn't much balance between those elements.

Hmmmm, lemme see. At first it looked alright for me, saved it. I like the shinies (I don't mind that they look oiled for no reason) and the tig ol' bitties. I actually like the hair, also hands and shoulders on everyone, that shit ain't easy. But...

-The mouths. Most of the lips look too fishy for me, and the teeth look a bit weird, but the only way i could think of improving that without conveniently hiding them would be using less detail.

-Venus' nipples seem to be pointing at wildly different directions, including up and down... maybe they're supposed to be in the middle of movement. But agh, dat elbow. I still like her face best.

-Makoto's butt looks a bit too disproportionally big to me, I guess there's a delicate balance on that kinda thing. Then again they're supposed to be more MILFy-like I think, so that works, I guess.
>> No. 77886
It'd be a lot better if their eyes weren't so squinty.

The lips are... ok annoying but the eyes make it look like they're suffering from a terrible allergic reaction.
>> No. 77931
I'm not a fan of giant breasts or pornface, but that's more of an aesthetic choice than something that's actually wrong with the piece. I do agree Venus' (?) nipples are lopsided, but I like how she's slightly paunchy.

I think he was trying to find a mature Magical Girl pic for this thread that was worksafe.

Personally I like it.

I've always entertained the idea of one of those WWI/II tank-girls at an actual war veteran age.

...Point taken.
Damn I kinda wanna look for more of that, now. Is... is that even some kinda fetish?!

-Ahem- though OP's idea doesn't sound bad. Merits more discussion.

I can't stop thinking about powers being affecting/ed by sex. Like either the husband waking up to his wife looking slightly different and freaks out thinking that he just cheated on her or things getting "interesting" when at least the magic woman's in the mood.
>> No. 77948
If we're discussing character archetypes, why has no one mentioned the ambiguously gay duo that every other magical girl team seems to have?

There's so much potential there for bittersweet scenarios upon reunion. Japan seems to encourage writing that kind of stuff off as an adolescent phase, so maybe one of them has settled into a lukewarm marriage. Meanwhile, the other has had a series of equally unfulfilling relationships with various women. I don't know, I'm just throwing ideas around.

Regardless of the specifics, you're guaranteed some emotional drama when they meet up again and can't figure out if it's worth it (or even possible) to pick up where they left off.
>> No. 77951
Could always be interesting/funny if one of their kid's is a fan of magical girl shows. Especially if they make a show based on THEM.

So they were "the ones" for each other, but because of Japan's views on homosexuality, they were convinced they weren't supposed to be together? Could be a nice little deconstruction.

Forget about the Sailor Moon template and just consider the sheer potential something like this would have based on your classic Pretty Cure duo.

Never mind the fact that Pretty Cure (at least the first one) had some of the best potential for, lacking a better term, injecting a bit of 'realism' into the formula without ending up needlessly grimdark and juvenile.
>> No. 77965
>>77963
I'm only really familiar with Yes! (I immediately thought of Komachi and Karen) and Heartcatch, but from my understanding, every incarnation of Pretty Cure has had those kinds of undertones. I can totally see this working out.

Maybe we should move this to /coc/ and make it a webcomic, or something.

I support the idea for a /coc/ thread, but I think we can also give contributions in this thread as well.
We also need a /coc/ thread for that Super Magical Girl Wars ideas we discussed on /durp/'s first thematic week.

Yeah, I was going to start that one once I had something to add about it, and that hasn't happened yet. Still have the old thread saved.

You saved it?
Cool! I thought it got lost since I didn't had the chance to save it.
Maybe we could begin the SMGW and let people also give their ideas as well.

Well, I said that, but now I can't find where I put it. It might be on my work computer. I'll have to check tomorrow to see if that's what happened to it.

I can only imagine what kind of life is in store for the son of a magic girl/woman. Especially the kind that pass down their powers and for some reason the boy is an only child.

How many magical girls pass down their powers to their children? All I can think of is Chibiusa.
>> No. 78034

Maybe that's why you don't see as many, they all basically died out.

It'd be closer to say that being a magical girl is more than just a genetic thing, often not really connected to genetics at all.
>> No. 78036
I think Nanoha had multi-generational Magical Girls, but their Magical Girls are really more like plain ol' superhero wizards who tend to be female from what I've seen. And I've seen no suggestions of Legacy Heroines like Chibi Usa there.

But its legacy that's handed down from mother to child, adopted or otherwise. So what happens if they have boys. Is that how Tuxedo masks are made or does he unfortunately have to dress like his mother did at his age?
>> No. 78061

Or imagine him ending up being a "fan" of her's...
>> No. 78068
>>78059
Tuxedo Mask actually canonically has the Sailor Crystal of Earth, which is why there is no Sailor Earth. Men can't be senshi (except in the anime where the Starlights are Men....or something. Whatever it is, it's retarded so don't take it as canon).

Tuxedo Mask has power (and explicit attacks, in the manga), but he doesn't have Senshi-level power. One assumes that if he were a woman, he'd have power pretty close to Sailor Moon's own power.

So men are weaker than women in this Verse?
>> No. 78070

Probably more of a "more adept at channeling magical energy" or something along those lines
>> No. 78071
Honestly, given the Chalice/Holy Grail symbolism and Sailor Star Maker, I imagine it's a womb/motherhood-thing that makes women more suited to being Senshi in that universe.

Okay, so it's not at work either. I guess I must've accidentally deleted the stuff when cleaning up my Downloads folder at some point. So I've lost the info that was in that thread. I remember bits and pieces of what was said, and still have my notes from the project I was working on, but the /coc/ thread will have to basically be all new.

Unfortunately, there are Americans who also believe in that Class-S bullshit, only it's more of a "lesbians are afraid of men" kind of thing. That mentality pisses me off to no end.

Started the thread in /coc/ here: https://plus4chan.org/b/coc/res/45795.html

Haven't really added any information yet, because I don't want to throw walls of text up at people that might scare off potential contributors, but the thread is open for discussion at least.

All right!
I'm going to get most of the ideas and videos I posted in the course of this week.

>>78179
So the class-S bullshit moved from the PreCure thread, huh?
At least on the west there are still awareness about how that's bullshit. Japan sadly doesn't have our luck.

I gotta say, I really like the concept for this series. If it weren't for the fact that it was an h-doujin, I'd think it could go on for quite a while. It seems fun!

What if everyone else moves on and Venus is still banging around doing the magical girl shtick?

Isn't that more or less canon? I didn't read Sailor V, but I thought I heard it started before Sailor Moon, but ended afterward.

Oddly enough, "It" would be a good model for this story, possibly. The team have all moved on, and they must reunite to take down an old foe. They must finally learn to patch up old wounds before they are able to finally conquer their fears.

And the main character is a self-insert for the author.
