This right here, making everyone else essentially jerks just to get some kind of struggle for these three to overcome is really tasteless. Either have them just be a group of goofs trying to help others or up-in-coming club that needs to prove itself, no need to put in some kind of passive misanthropy to make me root for these kids.

So you're saying you haven't watched the series at all and are getting by one second-hand info. Okay I'll try and break it down for you.

The Sket-Dan ARE a bunch of goofs trying to help others, the only thing about them not being 'well respected' as a group is because of all the wierd-stuff they get up to in carrying out thier club duties. But they do have respect from people particularly those they've helped out in the past.
But 'respect' isn't the point of the Sket-Dan and neither are the 3 goofs even close to being some triplet of bullied nerds (though without spoling anything they do have some pretty depressing backstories...), it's about helping people.

Haha anyway if you DON'T think highschool is full of judgemental jerks as standard I would have LOVED to have gone to your magical fairytale school.
