Anyway, South Park: The Stick of Truth, that RPG announced a few years ago is finally coming out, looks kind of cool?

It basically looks like an extended episode of South Park in game form.

Like if that's your bag cool.

I didn't think much of the game at first (wasn't loving it, wasn't hating it), but then after seeing the first thirteen minutes of the game, I am so hyped. I couldn't even finish watching that Giggling Donkey trailer; I'm already sold and I don't want to see any more of the game until I just play it. This looks like just a solid RPG which I've been jonesing one for a while and the humor and writing seems right on point with the best of the show.

Obsidian were the people who made Alpha Protocol right, that was an awesome rpg.

As far as I can tell, you can only make a boy. He doesn't talk, though while everyone will only acknowledge you as "the new kid" or "he" or "him" and all that, some character's comments will vary depending on your appearance (i.e. your hair, skin color, etc). As well as cosmetic options, it looks like you'll have a lot of options for your character's class and abilities.

The overall RPG looks to take from both modern and old-school features. Along with the critical path, it sounds like there will be a ton of side quests as the entirety of the town of South Park will be free to explore fairly early on along with a ton of collectables, equipment, and other secrets placed here and there. The battle system is turn-based with a timed-hits mechanic much akin to Super Mario RPG. There's also a fair bit of strategy placed in battling certain enemy placement and types that makes the battles much more engrossing rather than feel like a grind.

I'm curious if the game will let you grind up, I'm not so good when it comes to having to do timed hits and blocks and might need to be stronger.

It was a neat game, had an interesting set of weapons.

How soon after release will it take this game to go on sale on Steam do you think? I mean I REALLY want the game but at the same time the full price is a little steep compared to what I usually buy there.
