Figure since Yule Tide is upon us and Black Friday(MURICA)/Cyber Monday is approaching fast it would be good to have a thread dedicated to video game sales/deals and gift giving, for those with funds and heart to spare. May as well also use this for setting up Steam trades. If you find a good deal, even if limited time (days, not minutes), feel free to post it.

To kick it off: I was pointed to this neat-looking (I haven't tried it, but Lifehacker likes it) website that checks various game outlets to find you the best deal on a game you're looking for. You can set up lists, exclude websites, and even import your Steam wishlist. Plus, it shows other regions, for those not in the States. http://isthereanydeal.com

Also, everyone's favorite charity vidya has a "permanent" store. The deals aren't as great as "pay what you want", and the percentages are locked (so no 100% to charity), but you don't have to get a big bundle with some un-wanted games you're stuck with and the selection seems a bit wider. https://www.humblebundle.com/store

Eh, I only got some minor DOTA2 stuff...
Like a green/black HUD, the Bastion annonser, a cool hoody set for Lich(my go to supper) and a cute green bug courier.
(all for under 10 euro~)
Will buy some frost keys later.

Built my first gaming PC early in december, so this was my first Steam deals event.

Brutal Legend
Serious Sam 3
Sleeping Dogs
Just Cause 2
The Witcher 2
Deus Ex HR Director´s Cut
Guacamelee
Limbo
World of Goo
Valdis Story
Universe Sandbox

Bretty good, I say.

Most of those games are great, but I recommend getting a bro to play for Serious Sam 3. It's still good and all, but can become a bit monotonous on your own.
>> No. 184642
Valdis Story is pretty enjoyable for a game I've never heard of even once prior to this sale.

I did bro-up thorough the first two Serious Sam, had a blast playing them. Fully intend to repeat that, sir.

The Secret World is on sale on Steam, and requires no subscription.

http://store.steampowered.com/app/215280/

What are people's opinions on it? I'm not normally an MMO guy but for some reason this game attracts me, I'm considering purchasing it while its still on sale.

So Take On Helicopters is on sale for 90% off ($1.99) up until March 12.

The Hind DLC is only $0.89 as well, and the package is only $2.49 total.

I've been meaning to try it out since it's from Bohemia Interactive and I have liked their mil sim work before.

About the Rockstar Weekend on Steam...

Ugh, all I see on sale is Midnight Club 2. Oh lord, don't tell me I got hit with some shitty regional lock.

>>186073
A mix of great, meh, PAYING FOR ROMS, and so-so ports. Still, pretty decent bundle.

I almost preload it since I thought it was about the the free-to-play games, beginning with Runequest. But when I saw the trailer... Yeah, no.

Do you enjoy 2D fighting games? If so, FUCK YES.

Otherwise... while the art design, soundtrack, and voice acting are all top notch, the mechanics fall a bit on the complex side for casual fans. It does have a good tutorial if you're new to the genre, but it takes a certain degree of practice and dedication if you aren't used to these kinds of games. Kinda hard to recommend to people who don't know the difference between a Hadouken and a Rising Tackle.

Personally, I love it to an almost unhealthy level, but it really isn't for everyone.

Bought it.

So far, so good. Not sure why, but I expected the game to play like a Guilty Gear but it's actually more like onve of the Mahvel games, whihc I don't mind.

And Peacock totally is best girl.

Apparently all Star Wars games are 66% off for the event.

Which makes it the perfect opportunity for me to get all those Star Wars games that I used to have physical copies of but lost years ago.

Did Steam do a Spring Sale and no one cared? Or did they just pass on that this year? Because it's too close to the Summer sale to do one now.

The only time I will become concerned with not accessing Steam, specifically, is if Gabe Newell dies. So long as he's alive and controls the company, I see no potential issue.
