Last two days of the frankly outstanding 2013 Halloween Event are go!
Hurry up and waste more of your life for aesthetic items you can wear for less than a month out of the year before they're gone!

But that was years ago.

Why is it in Valve servers, the F2P users never seem to apply even the most basic FPS experience? Is TF2 everyone's first FPS now?

Since all my favorite servers have died I've been playing Valve servers... I used to be a medic... used to. There's just no point in caring for the violently suicidal.

Speaking of that, any good servers left?
All the bunch of servers I had have been dissipating like thin air in the last year and now I barely have like eight or nine.

Ponyfortress2 and a Saxton sever for me. PF2 has one at least sever near full and the crew there is usually pretty competent.

Thanks!
As much as I love micspam, I also want an alternative for the weeabootique; Shibby's, Star's and Jerma's servers tend to be either full or empty most of the time; and fuck the ATF servers, even if Don Newman gets there. I haven't seen him too much on those servers anyways.

I love the Voogru servers, though they're only four about half of of the nights in a week. Also, they tend to do all talk and a lot of discussion over mic (TF2 and other things); it's not micspam (and they'll ban those who try), but if you're looking for a mostly quiet time you might want to avoid them.

Alright that's fucking IT. Minisentries NEED to be nerfed. What fucking logic is it for them to have the same range as a normal sentry? A minisentry on Doublecross's bridge can detect a Sniper anywhere on the battlements. That's BULLSHIT, and it needs to stop.

I have no idea why Valve thinks keeping them the way they are is a good idea, because they aren't fun to play against in ANY situation. They're definitely not fun to play against as Scout: playing Scout when the Engi is rocking minisentries is like playing Spy when the entire team is Pyros. Make it so they don't push targets back, and don't have the same range as a normal sentry. Then we'll talk fair.

And yes I mad.

This.
For a mini to actually damage the other team needs the assistance of the Engineer and viceversa; people don't take in cosideration that a sentry, let alone a mini, is pretty vulnerable for being stationary, add to that its massive blind spots.
The mini is good for support. Why support and no offense? Because they will never be more offensive than an enemy player capable of thinking in many ways to kill you, that's it, players with enough brain to do it. You always will be able to deal with minis even as scout, the real problem are the other players and the Engineer paired with it that won't let you do something about it, why don't you complain about the player placing them? If s/he is able to get many kills with it, it seems to me that player knows what s/he is doing.
Decent enemy players are even more annoying to fight against, but of course, playing the game will inevitably make you fight them whatever you like it or not, so you can't complain about them, right?

Nevertheless, it really seems weird for a sentry that small pushing players around and therefore making it good at air control, paired with its fast deployment and fire rate, it shouldn't have that defensive aspect like the default sentry. It's been discussed before and I'm up for it not generating knockback.

It's also makes shooting it with hitscan weapons, especially shotguns, a lot harder.
>> No. 185891

It's also been proven that the minisentry's range is in fact fucked up. It's not supposed to have the same range as a normal sentry as you can see its radius of detection when you go to place it. Yet it's actually much larger than that.

I just checked myself, and the displayed radius is identical for both sentry types.

Just telling you that they will go as far as using Steam Support to get your accounts. So if you have personal information laying around and/or someone knows enough information that can be used as evidence that they are the owners and can't access to the account, and therefore having Steam Support granting them access to it, act now before they even think about stealing your well-earned goods. And, of course, that not only includes expensive cosmetics, but pretty much anything of value on it as well (Steam Wallet, games, etc.)

Nah, Medic makes about as much sense. Especially as his first introduction made it seem like he was a reluctant member, forced into being a merc, but later revealed to just be as batshit as the rest of them.

But Heavy doesn't talk in broken English, that's such bullshit. Also, if we don't get hot dog and dress outfits for Scout and Soldier, I will be a very disappointed man.

I hope that re-introducing Team Fortress Class means they're going to go with alternative teams or three-way battles.

I think I'll take a swing at it. There are technically three "old" models for each, the Quake mod version and two different TFC models, but I'll just show the new TFC ones because that's what all of these guys seem to be based on.

Worth noting that, besides wearing a hard hat, the Engineer here doesn't look anything like any of the TFC Engineer models. Probably because the Engineer update already used his character design for this guy who it probably TF2 Engineer's dad, while this is someone else.

I'd rather have TF3 be TF2 vs. TFC, with everything from the previous games so nothing is left behind.
Then you can have people being bitchy that TF2 is better than TF3 so they can go keep playing that.
