>Her artwork doesn’t fit with the Megaman style.
Good, because this isn't a Mega Man game.
>Her lack of experience with Megaman is concerning. Considering she’s both a designer AND is in charge of interaction with a fanbase she’s not in touch with (due to lack of experience in MM), this is a problem.
That would be concerning if this were a Mega Man game. But it's not. It's a spiritual successor to Mega Man, granted, but that doesn't make it the same as Mega Man. Her lack of experience with the MM franchise shouldn't preclude her from doing her job if she's qualified for it.
>People (especially backers) are concerned with letting an amateur design their game. [...] The backers were promised work by professionals. Seasoned designers of the Megaman franchise.
1.) A donation to Kickstarter makes you an investor to a project, but it does not entitle you to complete control of the final product, no matter how much goddamn money you put into the project. 2.) As pointed out above, M#9 donators were promised a team filled with Mega Man vets. That doesn't necessarily mean the team would ONLY be filled with Mega Man vets, just that those vets would be part of the team (and they are).
>She deleted all her Tweets that suggested she was unfamiliar with the MM franchise. Why do this if you have nothing to hide?
Maybe she got tired of people shittalking/harassing her for it.
>There is no proof of her qualifications at the time of this post.
And, likewise, there's little to no proof that the developers brought her on as a designer OR that she's somehow influencing the entire development team in a way that allows her "agenda" to slip into the game.
>Her tweets suggests she’s into a lot of Social justice antics.
So the fuck what? She can both believe in feminism and refuse to make it part of her creative work. So what if she linked to Anita Sarkeesian or said the word "feminism" a few times? That doesn't mean her mere presence will turn M#9 into a ZOMG FEMINIST HEAVEN NO MEN IN SIGHT game, nor that she even wants to do that beyond expressing a desire to MAYBE make Call more than a helper/background character in the game.
>Many games have suffered from just being an outlet for leftist(ish) propaganda (see: Borderlands 2 and Mass Effect 3) due to developers needlessly forcing their agendas into them.
So, right-wing propaganda should get a pass when developers force those agendas into games?
>Social justice types seem to be using videogames as a facet for political correctness lately so the panic is understandable.
Oh noes! Evil Social Justice Warriyahs are trying to keep people from treating gender, racial, and sexual minorities like shit by changing culture into something less "friendly" to the majority! QUICK, TO THE MANMOBILE; WE'LL SET THEIR SHIT STRAIGHT.
>The fact that Dina is female has little to do with the backlash she’s getting.
Bull. Fucking. Shit. If this was a man in her position, he'd get maybe a fraction of the overall hate being slung her way. A good chunk of this horseshit overreaction is due to her gender.
>Dina’s idea of a genderswap regarding beck also has little to do with the backlash.
Yeah, that's why people continue to bring up her fan art as part of the argument -- because it has nothing to do with why people are pissed at her.
