Not at all. The original is amazing. Can't wait to buy this and the PS3 version of the first one.

The first one kicks jaw-dropping amounts of ass, but the previews for the second. . .I dunno, it feels kinda MGS, i.e. the characters are all retreading the same steps as the first game, and know it, so this time all your actions will be hollow and pointless in a way that goes an order of magnitude beyond anything in the first game. Really kills the potential hype.

I mean, I still expect it'll be amazing and will likely grab it right away. But as soon as I started watching previews I lost most of my eager anticipation. =/

A very fair concern. Though I have a good amount of trust that the two dudes at Dennaton understand what made Hotline Miami special and will do their damnest to make Wrong Number just as fresh.

It's all up to how the storytelling and setting go. Making something new that will deliver the same kick is a challenge.

Watching the previews was physically straining for me, which is odd since once you get through the motions of the game you are murdering on auto pilot.

Hotline Miami - PlayStation Launch Traileryoutube thumb

Pleasantly surprised how well the console controls feel. Think I might still prefer mouse and keyboard, but this is also really good.
