The other one already hit the limit, and apologies for the OP pic. I think I should have better ones for general, but anyways...

Also, something interesting for discussion:

Is there a list of what CAN be played on the PS3? A la the 360? (On the other hand, I DID want to try that whole Installing-games-to-the-PS2-HDD thing. The shop up the road is selling one for dirt cheap and i'll do anything to reduce the load times in Tales of the Abyss wihtout having to actually purchase a 3DS.)

>>173043
Also this. If I bought a launch 20gig, could I install a larger hard drive? It's just a laptop hard drive, right?

Yep. Some 1TB HD are too big for it though, so be careful. Also, SSDs make no difference to the read speeds.

I have a few Dota2 invites that aren't being used, if anybody here doesn't have the game and would like to try it out let me know. I only have limited access to a PC with Steam for the moment, so let me know here and I'll gift the game to you whenever I can.

I really want to play DoTA 2 and have it, but they haven't announced anything about the Mac port in over a year, so I've been totally unable to play it. I am more than a bit pissed.

http://www.kickstarter.com/projects/368238381/worlds-of-wander-plus-secret-spaceship-club-game I certainly don't remember hearing about this before now. Now being almost 11:30 at night, so I'm currently in no state to read deeply into it enough to form a rational opinion, but I'd certainly liked to have known of this earlier.

Is there a list on correct ways to act when playing online?

I feel really bad when I die a lot, and I feel the urge to apologize, but I worry if I do, I'll annoy my teammates. I just don't want them to feel let down.

...So can someone explain to me why Steam
1. automatically downloads/installs DLC and expansions whether you want them immediately installed or not and then
2. has no way to uninstall the DLC and expansions after the fact?

Because that seems like something they should fix.

I just accidentally trolled GameStop's Facebook page by posting "Battletoads" an answer to the question "What game is this?" (accompanied by a slightly blurry Bioshock image.) It's delicious.
>> No. 173469
>>173389
There's not really a code of conduct when it comes to online gaming manners. There's no right or wrong thing to do.

If they don't bring up you dying, there's no reason for you to. If you aren't playing in a tournament or something, it's just a game. Who cares if you lose?

Thank you. I was just wondering because I just started online gaming recently, and I'd heard horror stories about how vitriolic people could be if you sucked. I don't play comp, I don't have the time or knowledge to do so.
>> No. 173496
>>173480
You'll probably come those people eventually, whether it's because you suck or another team mate sucks. Just ignore them and keep playing. You can usually mute other players in most games, that's what I do if it gets annoying.

The skintight suit is *Sexy*, and without her power armor she is *vulnerable*

Two things the Otaku like in a woman.

It got really bad in Other M when not only was she spazzing out at meeting Ridley, but for some reason her armor decided to vanish off her and the camera took a trip around her ass as she was freaking out and panicking.

One of the many reasons Nintendo needs to stop leasing their IP's out. Also: did they REALLY expect anything different from that team? I mean come on.

I prefer the two piece fitness getup anyway.

That aside, the guys don't constantly loose their armor to show off their hunky butts.
>> No. 173511
Zero Suit was understandable in Zero Mission. She couldn't do jack shit in it, and she needed her Power Suit. And being on the GBA it really wasn't any more sexualised than any of the end screens of earlier 2D Metroids.

I haven't played Other M, but from what I've heard she loses her Power Suit for no other reason than losing her Power Suit.
>> No. 173513
>>173510
Speaking from a functional standpoint, the armor is probably body tight itself with light padding on the inside, so any exposed skin is far more likely to chafe. The Zero Suit makes a lot more sense in this regard.

Yeah they went all out sentai with the power suit materializing in and out with the power of believing in yourself (leading to the infamous >>173500 scene).

A power suit that disappears in moments of great danger/stress is the most unintentionally laughable concept ever, though I heard a great joke about it being plausible in a Robocop/Borderlands -esque universe where companies weigh human collateral as more expendeble than the price of the suit.

No its still retarded (and she wasn't badly injured at all), even more than the fact she lost the plot out of nowhere.

Especially with what parts of her the camera is hugging in that scene.

I don't know how SEGA of America's doing for resources nowadays, but I'm going to assume doing damage control on this game's why they've suddenly gone quiet on Phantasy Star Online 2 and that Project DIVA -F interest check.

We're really into it, we'll play all day without realizing it.

This is bullshit.

NS2 has made some serious improvements, but the community has stooped to the level that MOBAs are stereotyped to have in terms of animosity.

Whatever happened to just playing video games?
