>>175186 One thing that concerns me with this is being stuck with only doing one thing. I don't play online games all that much and when I do I like to play around with people I already know for the most part outside of short crossings of paths. Having to deliberately vary seems like it could be problematic. For instance, does having a scientist in my group mean I get to see the lore stuff they're interacting with, and to what degree? If you need to a have a scientist character to see things first hand, I'm pretty sure me and most of my friends will want to go with that primarily even though it likely wouldn't benefit the group much to have so many. And another thing my friends like to do is post screenshots of their characters in remote locations, to challenge each other to discover the means to get there. With exploration mostly reserved for one path, those with the most interest in exploring wouldn't really be able to set those challenges, since with explorer-path characters the paths they take might not even be usable by other members of the team.
