Yeah, artists have no obligation to post their works. Especially if they post stuff for free and don't take comms or nobody buys comms and instead all they get are beggars and harassers who seem to take no interest in the artist's work beyond the requests they beg for. Seriously, some people will find an artist, not say a damn thing about the posted pics (no compliments, critique, etc) and just immediately beg for free pics, and if the artist is lucky the pereon MIGHT say thanks. Maybe.

Artists also get a double standard. You can't be an artist and not produce work without people starting rumors about why you're not working on more art. If you make a public comment about either not being up to it at the moment or being in a rut that's compromising your work people suddenly start calling you whiny or fragile.
It also doesn't help many artists want to work on other endeavors beside their fetish work and will not get the same support they do for their art of fat ladies. Either they make the other projects public so fans of their fetish work can see what they are up to then get hammered by people for ignoring them as they insult whatever the artist is trying to do beyond the fetish world, or their "fans" jump on board this new project blindly to be supportive then dry up when they realize it isn't getting them free art and from the artist's POV the new project they've started has gone from popular to ghost town. Most likely any forum they created (as we've seen many times) was busy for about 2-3 months and now only gets attention from spam bots. Which is a major blow to confidence when you see people abandon you so fast and quietly.

man, you know the real irony about this is that the best guy I ever commissioned was the much despised Rollingcutter, he delivered 2 freakin hours after I contacted him. I was stunned when I heard he turned into a thief and a shithead later.

That's a problem when some artists get too popular (well, as popular as an internet artist can get): too many commissions coming in, oftentimes too big of an ego, and too many asskissers. Some don't let it get to them, but others start getting lazy, rude, ridiculously overpriced, and have no problem turning out low quality work because nobody questions it and assumes that it must be good because so-and-so drew it. There are some artists on DA who absolutely baffle me with their popularity, even more so with their rude, flippant attitudes despite their loyal fanbase and infallible ability to sell overpriced, mediocre commissions.

This is a pen-and-paper RPG I made. It uses a single ten-sided die and you lay as a girl that gains weight and other things. I'll be uploading an updated version this weekend to celebrate groundhog day. Y'know, to support the hog-grounding industry and everything it's done for us.

I drew something /co/ related again

I made an observation in the surprisingly successful fat thread we just had on /co/:
