Last thread is autosaging. Here's a new one.

So I've made a thing. It's rather small and unimpressive, but maybe we can make it grow? Any thoughts?

Also, anyone know any good image sites to use for animated gifs too big to host on tumblr? You know, like this one?

Everything goes with MC. What's most important is how consensual it is, how obvious it is and if it's magic, tech based or realistic.

i specifically thought about mezmerella having a breakthrough in controlling violet and gets her to steal money from her parents, perform degrading things in public, hypnotizing her into doing sexual favors with strangers they meet, and implanting a ton of triggers in her malleable mind that get set off at intentionally common things.

and afterwards with no recollection of what happened vi gets dropped off at home, and her mom does or says something that sets off one of Mez's triggers, with interesting results

Frankly, I'm not into the whole Incredibles thing that you guys have been pitching here, but I have been trying to think of the exact sort of kinks that most often go along with this fetish, and to try and think of a short description. Of course this is all my personal interpretation, so someone else might feel completely different. In my view the four big things are the power fantasy, the submission fantasy, the fascination with states of mind, and the "stupid human tricks."

The power fantasy is the really obvious one and the one that has the most broad appeal. It's the reason why plenty of comedic fiction or porn that isn't specifically fetishistic will have a mind control plot. More or less everyone has fantasies about having control over others, about having the ability to indulge themselves where no one can stop them or say no. Make people give you what you want, get back at the bullies and assholes in your life, attain those sexually unattainable people that you lust after. Make that bitch of a boss at your job metaphorically get off of your jock and then literally get on your jock.

The submission fantasy is probably the one that the most real fetishists are into. I think that for a lot of people in this "community" or whatever you want to call it their mc fetish is basically an outgrowth of or a really specific form of a D/s obsession. While it can be similar to or involve a power fantasy thing, the focus is less on what is done and more on what the relationship between operator and subject is. The incredible vulnerability, the subservience, and blankness and obedience say for example, is emphasized. Not to put anyone on the spot, but TDL seems to have a lot of his work inspired by or involve sort of crazy bondage rituals or the kinds of games that Doms play with their subs. In something like this the mind control is kind of like a shortcut to the deepest levels of submission, or even a means of accessing a level that is not otherwise possible depending on your view/portrayal of the mind control.

Another sort of fetish or fascination is what's with the state of mind of the subject. Here you might see some crossover with people who have a thing for drunk or drugged people. The fascination is less with the subject's body and more with what changes are going on internally, or how the subject's physical responses are indicative of what's going on in their head. What is the subject thinking, or how are they not thinking? Are they still "them," or should they be considered something else? This is the sort of thing that I guess depends on what flavor of mind control you're going with. One of the things that I think really effected me when I was young was some of Chris Claremont's old comic books. I can't think of any clear examples off the top of my head, but he used to do this thing where characters would just suddenly switch sides or become sort of evil versions of themselves under mind control. The thing is that they weren't sort of robotic or zombie like, they'd mostly talk and act still like themselves. I'd wonder what that's like, what could be going through their heads? And when it happened to the girls I suppose that I couldn't help but imagine myself in the villain's role and think about some things from option #1.

"Stupid human tricks" is a term that I've heard used to describe stage hypnotist shows. Maybe it's not quite right to say that this is something people are fetishistic for, but it can add a lot of flavor. If nothing else, narrative-wise I like to see hypnotists in fiction do something more and more creative with it than, "Zap! You are now my slave forever, come fuck me and then make me a sandwich." It's a way to both create an interesting spectacle and to show rather than tell the relationship between subject and operator, possibly catering to option #2 in the process. Take sort of physical control concepts and either play them straight or apply them to sex, like telling the subject that they can't move or respond while they're being molested, or stimulate them and make them unable to orgasm without a trigger. And of course there's post-hypnotic suggestions, like it seems you're planning to work with. I personally prefer sort of "Manchurian Candidate" style of mind control to "you are overtly my slave forever" sort of mind control. They way in which it's done can also help reinforce other themes. I personally really like the idea that a person is completely normal most of the time, but underneath, where even they're not aware of it, they have a subservient slave self, or an evil self, or a super-slutty self, or a robotic not-self that just carries out a pre-programmed command. You can get a lot mileage mixing this with #2 and/or #3.

By all means, anyone else feel free to chime in with any discussion, tell me I'm all wrong and I don't "get" this fetish, add your own ideas, whatever.

I suppose it's a matter that, from my perspective there's certain language and imagery in your work where the only other place I've seen it has been among way-too-serious-for-me sort of "lifestyle" sm people. I guess that that, combined with some of the outfits you come up with, caused me to maybe make some assumptions about you and your work. Not that I felt there was anything wrong with that of course.
Also, just curious, Sokka was mentioned in >>7294. What became of him in this universe? I have this mental picture of him shackled to a drafting board with a crazy look in his eyes, brainstorming new weapons and mechanical systems for the Fire Nation 24/7.
>> No. 7501
>>7499

Other than the shackled bit, you're pretty much right. He's off currently designing a railway system. Suki doesn't really get as much opportunity to see him as she'd like, but understands they all have their duties. Azula sometimes uses him as a 'reward' for her.

Regarding the other comments...I suppose I think 'way-too-serious-for-me sort of "lifestyle" sm people' are also way-too-serious for me too, in the almost sanctimonious way they go about romanticizing the lifestyle. That doesn't mean it doesn't have narrative merits and methods about it though, so there's plenty to crib to make for a more grounded portrayal...and there's a certain ethical edge it creates when you involve outright mind-control.

As for outfits...I just like designing outfits.

I always felt like it was just a more psychological version of S&M, especially because of the different roles each player plays and level of control and submission involved. Although, here I guess is a bit more nonconsensual and drawn out, most of the times at least.

I know I liked the Wonder Woman pitch for that reason, the idea of a godly superpowered icon like her secretly and gradually becoming a total sub to a regular person is rather hot.

Control and submission role-playing taken to a more extreme level perhaps?

I do have a paypal account, but I want something different that doesn't have my name plastered on it for this future project I'm working on. Sadly, after a few hours of looking, the only thing close to what I've found has been ribbon.co and the take a massive cut from it. I suppose any advice into this area would be appreciated.

I wanted bitcoins ideally, but I've yet to find a place that accepts non-american banks.

So as far as I'm aware the name used for Mezmerella is "Ms. Merr" in a lot of these fics, and it's completely fan made since we never found out her true name in the comincs. I like it however, and I wanted to know if we ever gave her a first name too. Especially since I want to write fics about her.
If not, what should it be

Thought so. I was thinking of going for Merell as a last name, since it's right there in Mezmerella, but that's even better. Rolls off the tongue too.

I'm just glad they didn't go for their initial choice of names, Hypnotica. Mezmerella is so much better.

Well, I've seen it done as "spiral_eyes," "ring_eyes," and "kaa_eyes." I don't know about other boards, but hypnohub also has a "symbol_in_eyes" tag that can cover multiples of those as well as some miscellaneous bits.
In the right circumstances I like the whole symbols in the eyes thing as well. It works well with some but not all drawing styles, I think. I find them interesting because they're sort of like a visual shorthand. A lot of mc art makes a big deal out of the way the eyes look, not just because the proper facial expression is important, but because something going on with the eyes can be a good way to get across what's happening in the brain. The whole hypno/mind control fetish is very context-dependent, and many of the fans are excited by the subject's condition and what is or is not going on in their mind just as much as they are by any actual sexual content. That's what I meant by visual shorthand, something going on in the eyes, whether it's a cartoonish spiral or symbol, or just the gold standard of glassy and discolored, it is suggestive of the character's mindset.

>>7542
I suppose that's something I've never really had to take into account, staying anonymous while getting paid. Isn't it possible to set up a Paypal for a fake name? I mean I guess the people processing the payment will still see it attached to your bank account, but is there really that much of a chance of someone both being able to and caring to make the connection? Still, I guess I can see why you would want to be absolutely certain. What are Gumroad's policies in regards to that? I know that Psuedo and Gunwild have used it to sell nsfw material in the past.

Anyway, here's something I recently commissioned that may or may not be related depending on your point of view.

To me the eye symbolism represents the level of hypnosis. Something moving in the eyes, perhaps representing tunnel vision, indicates them being "pulled under" and the more prominent it is the more far gone they are.
But I suppose it's subjective.

>>8045

I haven't looked around at the stuff, but my understanding was gumroad doesn't do NSFW...I suppose if we're being strict on it it's rare that I do that, but MC does kinda fall into that uncanny territory.

More to the point, I haven't done anything MC-related in ages because what I want to do with it is too big a task for what I can actually do right now. So I'd feel bad to accept money right now anyway.

Sure, why not? Gonna be a business website for Thrallworks, with detailed articles and auctions and the like. However, I lack the programming skills to make it happen, and I simply don't have the time to do all the drawing such a project would need. At least, time I'm willing to spend on it.

So it'll have to be left at this...and the 40 page word document of articles I have. And the few dozen drawings in my back-catalogue.
